I would have to say a garden, because it can be a lot less effort, but I really couldn't do it either. But I do believe that here in Texas it should be a law that people plant shade trees all over, but esp in parking lots. Make a forest! :)

Beileve it or not I have a pet I'm allergic to and does like me. At least when I feed them. Wouldn't change them for anything though. <3
