Happy Sunday and a very happy unbirthday to you!

We don't get a lot of snow here, so when we do I have to take photos! This is from two years ago.

We went to Oahu and Maui and it was gorgeous. Like, everything was stunning. This is a picture I took just pointing my camera out the car window on the highway. This is Lifelike Highway in Honolulu.

I went to visit Asheville, NC a couple of summers ago and hiking off the Blue Ridge Parkway was so beautiful.

Frankly I hate winter. Or any weather that is a little unpleasant. I am an indoor-person. But at the right temperatures even the smallest twigs in the trees froze over and had a white-blue glittering coat. That was pretty. From the inside, of course.

Unfortunately it never comes out so beautifully on photos

Day 2: Nature There's a creek that runs through my town, and there's a bike/walking path that runs along the creek. I walk my dogs there sometimes. It's a manmade creek and all the city storm drains run into it, so the water is pretty gross but there's still plenty of wildlife. People fish there so presumably there are fish to catch (reeeeally hoping they don't eat them), and I've seen wood ducks and something that may have been a nutria, and one time I was lucky enough to see this dude (or dudette):

My googling has determined that this is a Great White Heron.

I love hiking in the rainforests and smelling the moist fresh air. Back when I was living on the west coast me and my family would sometimes hike in the rainforests in the mountains. I miss it there.
