I hate that searching around for the best price stuff! But! Phone cases are important. We DO have prime, so that helps, at least but.. yeah, eesh.
Just think, it could be worse.. they could not make them anymore :P
Today.. I need to find my stamps. IDK where they are.
This one I have that broke has two pieces, inner softer and outer hard plastic. The outside is what broke. It feels weird holding the phone with just the inner piece or with nothing on it. Lol
Shhhhhh you!!! This phone isn't even a year old ... It drives me crazy when the phone stores don't even have a case for them Verizon didn't. I mean really? We got the phone from you. You should at least have a basic case for it!!!!
The new one is supposed to arrive wed. Hopefully it shows up sooner. It says it already shipped.
My stamps stay on my desk. Right by my checkbook that I rarely use lol
OOoooh yeah, that's the same kind I always get, too! The two piece ones. I think they work better!
I know, but ti seems like they get rid of phones so quickly now. It's kind of super annoying!
I just went and bought more :P I needed to send out the school taxes (RIDICULOUS), and the kids fair entries. And self addressed stamped envelopes for the fair.. Lilys SASE needed three, Izs needed two stamps, and Els needed one LOL
Lol if anything needs more than one stamp I take it to the post office and pay for postage...because I'd never know how many stamps to use. I rarely send out anything that needs more than one stamp tho
Your school taxes are crazy. My whole property tax, including school and fire is $2000 and that rose like crazy this year (it was $1600 last year and only $1000 the year before) The school part is only a couple hundred dollars, as is the fire. The rest is property
Yeah, you need a stamp per 9 tags. So Lily has 20 tags, Iz had 16 or 17 I think? I don't even know.
Our school taxes ARE crazy. It's something like $450 a month for all our house taxes. Which is ridiculous.
Tags for their fair entries.
No, we just pay them when they come, but with all the taxes through the year, that's what they come out with.
And we do, but it's really small, only $218 a month. We bought it off my Nana, but then we got a 30k mortgage on it so that we could pay off some stuff and fix up some stuff. And the taxes and insurance aren't included in the cost, obviously :P
So, 20 tags means Lily is entering 20 things in the fair? Or what? I know nothing!!!! Lol
I see. My taxes and homeowners insurance IS included in my mortgage payment ...
Ugh. I'm doing mandatory yearly training videos/quizzes. Same stuff. At least it's a slightly different format....due to the change in learning platforms I think ...
Yes, 20 tags means she's entering 20 things in teh fair.
Yeah, ours isn't because .. well, because it doesn't need to be. Like I said, right now it's $218 a month, but if everything was added in, it'd be $750 a month or so.. which would be.. quite painful.
Hah yep. Mine (in Ryan's name) is currently $615 ... I can only hope I can get it reduced when I get my own....but if the interest rates stay up, I dunno if I will be able to lower it - our current rate is 5.5 And it's almost 7 right now when I checked to see what rates were currently Stretching it back out another 10-15yrs to 30yr again will help tho (we've owned almost 14yrs)
It's all so rough. :(
Speaking of. Tomorrow's my day for professional development :P For the school. 8!!!! hours. But they're feeding us breakfast and lunch. I asked three times if she was sure I needed to go, as a sub, but she said yes :P
Oh boy! What fun. Nice of them to feed you breakfast and lunch!! We got breakfast from PTO one day, and lunch from the principal one day. I think that was it. (Out of the 6 days of pre-planning - of which only 2 were professional development days - 1 for school level, 1 for district level) It is strange that as a sub they'd want you to go, but maybe because you are a fairly regular sub (?), they figured it would be good for you? Or maybe in case you end up full time you'll already have the training? I know our teacher subs have some training (mostly for beginners), but not the same PL stuff WE do...but I don't know how the cafeteria staff does it.
We have our first "at home" learning day next Friday (not this one, but the 18th). Sent home notes to parents today about it. I made sure to highlight the statement that PRE-K will do paper packets this time but will be required to do virtual ONLINE learning the next 4 times.
I feel like I am on a roller coaster at school with some of these kids. Great one moment, wheeee.... then scared/horrified the next, YIKES! WTH! :P Today our little boy ran off down the hallway THREE TIMES. I can't exactly go after him. If I chase him he thinks its a game and fun. And also I end up leaving the other kids unsupervised if I do that (I learned that he thinks its a game the 2nd day of school when he said "chase me, catch me, I bet you can't" when he was running away) sigh So - NO running after him, or even walking. Nope. I let him go. I called out to him to come back, stuff like that. Like, he was a perfect angel during the library time we had for our "specials" class (sat in front of me, never got up or tried to go anywhere for 40m) but at the end, when I am trying to line everyone up to go back to class, he goes and gets into the librarians personal stuff, she gets him out, he goes OUT the door and RUNS down the hall away from the rest of the class. I mean like? WTH? I can't do ANYTHING about it....I am by myself!! I am carrying a SLEEPING child also!! (who fell asleep in the library as it was right before naptime) Then there are at least two others who pitch a fit if they don't get to do what they want or aren't picked first, or arent allowed to talk whenever they want to (I am soooo sorry but if I am reading a story, you CAN NOT talk to me about what your mommy said!!!!) Then we have another two that are EXtREMELY stubborn!!! Like, they'll go "I gotta pee" so i say "can you say, please will you take me to the bathroom" and they stare at me, and then yell at me "I gotta peeeee" sorry, that isn't going to make me take you pee. Use your nice words. Sometimes the one child will just make noises - like ???? Am I supposed to understand what "ggrrr unnn ppppp" means? NOPE I dont!!! Even if I do know that you are probably saying "I gotta pee" cause you just said that before I asked you to use nice words. And I am just using the "I gotta pee" as an example. That is one thing, but there is sooo many others. Like, I want water, I want my mommy, I want that toy, open my snack, whatever.....
Also I am now curious as to what 20 things Lily is entering in the fair? :P lol Like I never did stuff like that with my kids, but sometimes something they did at school got entered, like Katie did several art things that got entered, and once or twice they were in 4H for some reason thru school and they entered something...but I never did it myself. So I cannot imagine what 20 things Lily could be entering!!! And Iz too!! Since she has nearly as many! Also go ahead and tell me what El is entering hahaha!
Yeah, apparently all the ladies and the subs have to go LOL. I'm really hoping it's the colleges food though, and not the nutrition groups food! That's awful, and I'll be very grumpy if it is. The college has great food! LOL.
Ugh. We had a kid that did that here last year, and the school had to go on lockdown everytime he ran away, because.. again, the teacher can't just drop everything to chase him. Wasn't prek ofc, we don't have that here, but was 2nd or 3rd grade. What a hassle for everyone!
Oh, Iz and Lily have a bunch of things for arts and crafts and upcycling, and then Lily also has her gardening book, a scrapbook and a plant (but that's all one thing), her club treasurers book, her archery book, best shot, and arrow she fletched (all one thing) and electronics book. Oh, and her Designed by Me jean jacket and book.
And El has their beekeeping book and poster, an embroidery they did, and a cake.
Iz has arts and crafts and upcycling, and a cake. Pretty chill for her :P
Sounds like so much fun!!! (The arts and crafts and fair things!)
Haha I wanted to try the college food a lot last year but never did. They have the culinary students cook and serve for part of their classes lol
I'm trying to finish my mandatory training. Four sections to go, each at least 30min long estimated time
We had the college food on accepted students day, and I was pleasantly surprised haha. Plus, my friend works there, and she'd never steer me wrong :P
Two down, two more to go Yawn I am tired. When is bedtime? 😴
Ooh nice that you know someone who cooks there.
840 Onto the last module You know, I heard others complaining about how long it took or that they had to repeat the tests...made me wonder if they were paying attention at all? I will admit I got two questions wrong so far. Out of like 40. One I knew was wrong as I hit the button I was like oops wrong answer. I will say it has taken a while, but not terribly long. I mean, what, two hours last night and two today?
[Edit] 8-10 305pm O M G Today. Was. Crazy. Started off well. Ended with one child dumping about 15 buckets of manipulative toys on the floor!!! Tried to get help. They removed her from the room. Excuuuuuse me? NO! The child needed to clean up her mess!!! They didn't bring her back until nearly naptimes so teacher and some sweet older students cleaned up the mess. The child got brought back to "clean up" and picked up like 4 buttons. Seriously???? Mom was called and says she has no idea what to do or why it is happening. At least she said she is seeing the behavior at home too. So many will say it never happens at home.... Other one was in stuff all day and had a temper tantrum too...over not getting a skittle like the kids who were sitting on the carpet like they were supposed to. Sigh Got to love the first weeks of the year. I really hope it gets better.
4pm Home now. New phone case is here finally. So much bigger. I thought it would be but ugh LOL Oh well. I'll get used to it. I think it will better protect my phone than the old one anyway. Its also got a stand on the back, and a magnet, not that I have a magnet thingy in the car for it :P lol I liked the color and the price.
Oh no, what a day! :(
The professional development honestly wasn't that bad, I had a pocketfull of starbursts at least?
And they had all the lines open for lunch, I had pizza and it was pretty good! And there were these REALLY good little carrot cake bite things? Delicious. :P
Mm starbursts are good. I am currently eating frosted animal cookies lol I need to not buy snacks honestly. I eat too many when I do get them.
Oohh Mercer just called and said they needed my 2022 tax documents, to verify my soon to be ex is no longer on my financial documents, and they'll approve my adjustment for financial aid. So I sent that in. I also called the insurance company and adjusted that, as I wanted both cars back on liability insurance. Also have uninsured motorist and roadside assistance on both. No more full coverage. Not with putting Nathan on soon. Insurance went down $10 lol It will go up like crazy when I add him later I know .
