I wanted to offer more words but I decided to finish and take more action on my own things, like how I spoke on the other thread about dealing w/ the hornet nest problem in my daughter's window.

Digging is fine... shoveling the dirt somewhere else or nearby or turning it over (in my case, for my garden), is rough. Hell, I really like "digging" when I had the plantar fasciitis. It felt good on my foot.

What was the idle hands quote? ;) I remember it, but not verbatim. I just knew it was time for me to take my own advice and get to work on some things I've been neglecting. (Been immensely tired and sore this week - after a period last week, I'm already back into hardcore PMS and I don't sleep well during a work week anyway, which is generally why I hate waking up early when I'm off.)

Oh hey! News about the broody hen. So I put her back w/ the others yesterday and discovered her sisters - the "easter eggers" as they're called - have been laying UNDER the damn coop where it's pretty much IMPOSSIBLE for me to get to. I'll have to get pics to show. The others have been still laying in the actual coop. I decided to buy from Amazon the kitten litter boxes I originally used from the very start to make a new, multi-chicken bed area. The only reason this is delayed is b/c I kept waiting to see those stupid things show up in regular stores and they never did. More people are going to the robotic type of boxes.
Gonna have to get those pretty eggs, soon. (Lots of the chicken run area is double layered, if not triple layered. Each time I got a new type of wire, the damn raccoons found a way to kill my chickens. I didn't realize until one day my youngest daughter's dog chased them up the neighbors tree that I saw there was a PACK of those piece of shits and they were literally working together to corner my hens and pull them apart, piece by piece, through anything less than one of the smallest wires you can buy. THAT is why I hate those pieces of shit!! I've had ducks and chickens that were PULLED apart, and I would have to clean up the remains that were left inside that area.)

Oh my taarna that sounds horrible. I would probably hate racoons too if I had to clean up that type of mess. 😲 Are you going to be able to get the eggs somehow? Tho you say it's practically impossible.... I'd hate for them to rot where you can't reach them....yuck.

I took a break from everything, yesterday. Did mystery dancing on my phone and accepted any dances I got in. We finally got some really good rain both in the morning and in the evening. It was nice to see.

So... in the weee hours of this morning, my youngest down in TX tried to jump out of bed, got tangled up in the covers and came crashing down, chin first, on an area that's like a window in a wall between two rooms. She got a big gash on her chin and was able to get a hold of her boyfriend to drive her to the ER to get stitches. She had him text me how it looked and such so I got to see the unfortunate pics. :( Poor thing. Just got back from Galavanston the other day and they have plans to go to Florida on Wednesday and she won't be able to get much swimming in. I said at least she can get most of the way in the water! :P
I asked her how she managed that in the first place and she says she thinks she was having dream paralysis and that something was crawling up towards her on her bed and that's why she tried to jump out of the bed so suddenly.

Sounds like an awful night. They just left the hospital about 20min ago from this posting. (hour behind down there)

We have rain here too, half the day yesterday. Today is supposed to be mostly clear, but then chances of rain all the rest of the week. Grass is going to grow like crazy and will REALLY need to be mowed after all that. I probably won't get to it until after all the rain leaves out again. I do not want to do it today.

I know things could've gone worse for her. It's pretty scary to think about and the gash was pretty nasty looking. Now she's worried about the scar and having to wear a big patch on her chin for awhile. /sigh

Our grass is going to need some time to recover. Major areas have gone dormant and yellow unless they were shaded but even the shaded areas have barely grown. Got more chances of rain this week but I'm going to wait on a day by day basis b/c the weather has been so whacky. Not even supposed to hit 70 today, although it will be more humid than it's been in weeks which makes a difference.

And yeah Kat, I guess I'm growing radishes and other stuff in my oven. :P They just don't get full grown. Sprouts are so yummy. Started a new batch of mung beans last night.

Been to the school and back. Could not turn in the documents for financial aid, as THEY do not have the forms they need me to fill out to go with them. They asked me to come back in two weeks. I told them I only came in because they had emailed me eyeroll. Yes, well the systems is ready but the papers are not. sigh Ok. I'll come back in two weeks. Its fine. I only need it done BEFORE FALL SEMESTER! They said it will be ;) Then the last thing to figure out will be if the financial aid will cover how much of the four classes I am taking - I also went to the CAP center and had them register me for the classes. Spanish, Employment, and two ECCE (childhood). At the bookstore I priced the book for EMPL but couldn't find one for spanish. Hope its either free/electronic or cengage/electronic so I don't have to buy another book :P I've gotten the cengage for a whole year, since I got that extra financial aid earlier! :) The two ECCE classes are cengage. I am hoping financial aid will not only cover all of the tuition costs but leave me a little for the bookstore at least. If not, I'll figure it out then I guess.

Sliced up more bananas and strawberries this morning for smoothies. Still haven't made one ! Keep forgetting. Need to make one and see if I like it. Otherwise what the heck did I slice up fruit for hahaha!

I did just spend an hour on the phone with my dad, he called to say happy birthday, then like he always does, wandered off into other topics...including a mini therapy type session (he was a therapist for a while, so whenever he starts talking relationships, he always gives advice based on his OWN relationships....how he learned what he did wrong, how HE fixed/worked on his own issues and how you have to be the one to want the change and work at it, that kind of stuff) LOL I love the man, he will talk your ear off tho!

edit: made a smoothie :) Just milk, banana, strawberry. Pretty good! A little less banana next time I think. Maybe a little more strawberry. Just my preference! I will also try a vanilla one another day (since I have chocolate and vanilla almond milk)

How chocolatey is that almond milk? I don't drink chocolate milk but I've had some before and always thought it was too thick but I imagine it makes great smoothies. I still think the syrup would be better. Makes me think of a sundae all blended up (minus the nuts, LOL).

I don't mind hearing how people resolved their problems as long as it's presented as a "this is what worked for ME, in MY situations" kind of way. There are plenty of situations that are similar and the difference is in how the individuals react to it but that's the part about giving advice that should always be considered. :P

It is dark chocolate ;) chocolate almond milk to me is pretty chocolately tasting. I've always preferred chocolate milk over plain milk and nesquick powder over syrup. But I might try one day with regular almond milk with choc syrup. (Nathan complained I got vanilla and chocolate and NOT original)

yes exactly, and my dad always makes sure to point that out...this is ME, what you do is up to you...type of stuff. Yes yes. VERY humid always. ugh. I walked out to help the neighbor get my lawn mower running (hers is frozen up, Ryan is supposed to come see if he can fix it for her) so she's borrowing ours. We tried to crank it and it wouldn't. So we switched her lawn mower battery out with mine, it cranked. Then we had to pump up a tire, so we got that done. Ryan is going to bring some slime stuff that is supposed to fix holes in the tires so he doesn't have to come plug the tire. Whatever dude. Just help me fix the tire so I am not putting air in it all the time lol

edit:4pm Ok so I now have a dr apt for a mammogram and ladies physical and I'll get my biometric screening done too - had to book it for Sept but eh. Whatever. Half a day off work for me. And I also booked a vision apt for next Monday. At a different place than the local one, I used to go to them a long time ago but started going to this closer place but I just didn't like the visit last time or the glasses I ended up with (they were ok, but I didn't really love them). So maybe going back to the old store will help? I dunno. Just hope it doesn't cost anything over the insurance :P I dunno what I will do if it does.

and my neighbor is now mowing MY grass hahahah ok lady. if thats what you want. her way of thanking me for letting her use my mower I guess.

I haven't had one in ages, becauseee.. I had one, I had to schedule it 5 months out.. then THEY cancelled it (WHILE I WAS ALREADY ON MY WAY THERE), and reschedules it 7!! months out! That's an entire YEAR from when I first scheduled it! So I just cancelled it.

I need to go soon though, because Isabelle is almost 10 and I think I need a new IUD :/

BUT.. they just did the same thing to Akira, too! Cancelled and rescheduled for January!

Yea they are important to do. I haven't done the ladies stuff in at least 3 yrs...but since my health insurance is offering rewards points this year for doing it, why not :P I like to get the $150 gift card. I could also use all the points as money for sick/regular (not yearly physicals those are free anyway) Dr Apts but I just don't go that often to be able to use it all, so I feel I get a better deal just getting the gift card. Wow yea, that is crazy they rescheduled you like that. Maybe a different dr office instead? I don't know. I was hoping to get in this summer but they were booked for all doctors thru August (its a group practice but I usually just see 1 specific one unless I just can't), so I waited and got the Dr I liked on one of the days she was available. I never tried IUD. I did pills (very short time period I was horrible at remembering to take them), patches, and shots. Then nothing. Then later Ryan got a vasectomy. I could totally have another kid if I found another guy! :o Hahaha not likely to happen. Not that I would mind if I did, other than being such an older parent. I know I'd be more tired than I was with my kids I already have. But I'd love it just the same. Instead I look forward to grandbabies, but not TOO soon. Both boys seem to think only Katie will ever have kids. And she doesn't want any til she is out of school (Smart girl!) Shane however, I worry about "accidents" .... and lies to be honest. I've told him that he ever believes someone is pregnant with his child to get a paternity test before paying child support or anything else. Not to be calling the girls liars, but if HE is with so many different people, who is to say they aren't? I don't know these girls, and to be honest I don't feel HE knows these girls that well. He has already also had girls lie to him saying they are, when they aren't. So... yea. Bit of disbelief there if you ask me.

Oh also I forgot to mention : my classes for fall semester will be a little weird. Instead of all 4 classes being full term, one is a "mini-mester" which means its an 8week course, like the summer classes. It starts in Oct instead of Aug! :o So that will be a bit unusual and strange. Hopefully I am well into a groove when I hit Oct and adding a doubled up class won't throw me off the edge ! :P

I haven't seen a lady bits doc since my youngest was born. No desire to go , either. XD

yes we do chat a good bit. Some days/weeks it's slow and other we chat up a storm and go through several pages at once lol

I have .... Way more than one box of keepsake stuff. I keep trying to cut it down but it's very hard. I will make Nathan get me 10 more things out of the attic this weekend too. Lol and keep on with that until there is nothing else up there.

I absolutely hated it fresh out of highschool. Why did I have to retake classes I just finished, more or less? That's what it felt like to me. 3 classes/1 semester and I quit. 25yrs later I am back and doing way better than my 18 yr old self. I could not homeschool. I seriously thought about it for my oldest but by the time he was old enough for kindergarten I was ready for him to GO to school lol
