For the last week of the month I would like to touch on my favorite part of sharing your heart, your pet(s). I know for me personally, my pets have been family members and sometimes my best friend. Please post about your pet(s), Past, present, future, or all. Feel free to share stories and/or pictures! I know pets are not everyone's thing or you may even be allergic so if that is the case please feel free to post your favorite animal or even a pet you would love to have!

One Of Each
My Maine Coon Mix Largo
Though he has past the rainbow bridge, my cat Largo was my best friend for 19 years. I rescued him from a pet mill on my 19th birthday. He was 6 months old already almost a foot tall and almost 8 pounds as the runt of his litter! He was the last of his litter including the mother because he had respiratory issues. But for me, it was love at first sight. I knew then I would never be apart from him and I was right. He stuck by my side through multiple moves, states, bad times, and good times. Part of my heart will forever be missing because it is with him.
Dumbo Octopus or Elephant
If I could own a pet that I literally can not it would be a dumbo octopus or an elephant. I happen to love all octopi and find them all cute. Both animals are smart and playful but also kinda evil and I dunno I guess I have a type. But since the Dumbo Octopus needs to live so far under the water I would be crushed and I would need an epic amount of money to maintain an elephant I will just love them through pictures and my imagination.

UGH. I already shared my dog, but he's not BFF material. I wish I could have a cat, but the hubs is allergic. If I could have any pet, I'd like a Russian Blue. They're supposed to be sweet, courageous, and talkative. I had a Siamese (also known for talkativeness) as a kid and, man, that was a swell cat.

During my life, many feline friends accompied me and I miss any who already crossed the rainbow bridge very dearly. Since I aready posted many pictures of my contemporary consorts Palila, Malu and Nilai, I think I should present one of the ones waiting for me at a better place now yet It's very hard to pick only one of them...
I decided for Frida, my first cat ever, a black with white Norwegian Forestcat.
She was the first Norwegian cat in this color in Germany and on top of it, had a white-tipped tail which made me fall for her instantly. Back then, I bred this species and Frida had a lot of fun on the shows, she loved to present herself, and she made it in one go to Europe Champion. A rare treat, most of my cats didn't like it so much and so we stopped showing and breeding after some years - we couldn't part with the kittens, too. Nowadays, the NFOs are much more triangular when you look into their faces but back then, they looked much more like a very natural cat and the marbled and tigered ones were often compared with lynxes.
However, I loved Frida not for her show qualities but for her being a real cat with her own mind. It took a lot to bond with her and to get her to purring as well but if you achieved it, the prize was great. She was a very loyal and intelligent cat and when getting older, affectionate, too - in her younger years, she was more on the wild side. She was real family. My beloved grand lady lived for 16 years with us and was able to do so with her partner in crime and beloved hubs, Teddy, and her sons Linus and Indiana Jones. Here she is, my lovely precious star waiting somewhere in the galaxy for us:

i don't have any pets but i claim my aunt's pets as mine because i care for them quite often! this is gray, i'm kinda her favorite (shhhh) because i'll run with her on walks.
i'd love to have a hypoallergenic dog myself, but def can't afford pet ownership. ;c
