Yeah, telling us they're coming wasn't a good idea. They could have been more vague like, "something is coming for battlers, stay tuned" and then we all waste time speculating in wonderment at what it could be.

The challengers will be coming this month, I'm just waiting on loot for one or two of them still. 👀 They were never going to be available the whole month or anything.

Sorry to just barge in but I figured you guys in Battle chat would be best equipped to answer my question.

Has anybody else been having crap luck when it comes to Tomes from the Mage? I have turned in about 20 amulets in the last 4 days (which doesn't seem like a lot, but still) and gotten zero tomes. I usually average 3-4 tomes per 20 amulets, but 0 seems extreme. Is it just super crappy luck I'm having or is anybody else having bad luck with tomes?

Yup...... he has been a real grinch lately.

He gave me a ton of tomes, but I also turned in over 700 amulets. The more you turn in, the more tomes you will get closer to the drop rate.

I have turned in a lot of amulets over the last couple of months and I'd say it's what, a 20% rate of amulet to tome? Something like that, based on what I calculated, but I also have terrible memory.

I've gone over 2 dozen amulets and zero tomes. The drop rate is supposedly 1:6 but you have to turn in large quantities to see that. I know it's frustrating when you get a dry spell, but it's also great when you can beat the average. Just hang in there and keep farming those amulets -- you'll get there.

Higher than your foe's speed. used to recommend around 6600 to avoid getting critted by Prodigy & the other impossibles at the time. Today we have foes with speeds that can exceed 10k, which seems too high for most builds, but there are still several foes that start out with well over 6k speed.

Personally, I still think of 6k as the low end of needed speed, but I could easily be wrong. I don't have any top tier pets with low speed. Hopefully more people will weigh in on what their thoughts are.
