I've been baking all day and I'm still not done. Pupmkin pie is finished, pumpkin cupcakes are in the oven, and I still have sweet potato casserole and potato salad to make today. Then green beans, mashed potatoes, stuffing, deviled eggs, macaroni and cheese, rolls, and chicken for tomorrow. Yay Thanksgiving.

11/24 Good morning Thursday! i was thinking we could do something a little fun for this holiday. I found this relatively inexpensive Battered Turkey Feather for us to play with today! Have fun and be safe out there!
I started eliminating the tedium of baking sweet potatoes and making mashed potatoes by switching to making mashed sweet potatoes! I do the yams just like potatoes, but I half the milk (or emit in favor of spiced apple cider for milk-sensitive tummies) and add (sugar-free is fine!) maple syrup, (I even use the Splenda blends to cut the sugar) brown sugar, butter and pumpkin pie spice. Not only does it tie the meal together with similar taste profiles, even kids love it! Sometimes, if I'm feeling daring, I add a tiny amount of cayenne. But holy FORK! That's a LOT of food. I do a turkey, my extra special cranberries (seriously. They're delish), and the sweet potatoes. My husband is gluten free, which eliminates SO much work. LOL I don't even make gravy, though that's the only thing I miss from the old days.
My honey and I both work all night on Thanksgiving, so dinner is whatever we can scrape together before we go in, or toss in the microwave on our break (If we get one). I have home made corn tortillas, baked with shredded turkey, broccoli and cheese in single portion microwavable containers made up already. Yay Thanksgiving indeed... Outfit Not Found

(Not from or in the USA and my entire knowledge of this holiday comes from residual information I've soaked up from TV and films from your country. I also know very little about turkeys. So I just made this as it looks pretty and I hope it's not offensive or anything.)
