I just throw every weapon in the armory so I have a bunch.

Updates :).

So far we are at 13 confirmed interested and 3 Tentative. (EDIT: NOT UPDATING THE BELOW AMOUNTS BUT WERE UP TO 15 CONFIRMED + 3 TENATIVE NOW ^_^)

If we go with the list already compiled by a previous group, and assume the 3 tentative join us, that puts us at about ~71 weapons each if we split it evenly (87 if they don't join). That includes single use items, but I would say we exclude those from everybodys list and consider trying the cheaper ones if the other items don't work which drops that number to ~65 items each (81 if the tentative don't join). With weapon sets of 8, that means in theory you would need to do about ~9 attempts per go around(11 if they don't join). The weapons arn't supposed to be expensive or unbuyable so I'm happy to help work out if anyone can't get access to enough weapons .

How long does everyone think they would need to work through their set without it becoming a burden? A week? Two? Working as a team is key so as long as we communicate if we can't get to our list we can always divvy up your assigned item pool. I find pouring a glass of wine and doing mindless battle grinding like this to be very therapeutic after a days work so i'm happy to pick up a heavier pool of items. Last night I worked through all T5 weapons just to get a groove :) (and unfortunately its not one of them :p) .

We would all discuss delaying / pausing the effort during any events or new challengers being released unless we still have enough momentum to help take on that users list. It's a casual group effort so any members who can't contribute during a period who already have would still be told the item if we found it!

I'm not sure if everyone has access to google sheets or feels comfortable using it but once i've finished tweaking the excel that will be shared! If anyone can't or doesn't feel comfortable accessing it I can help mark off your items + indicate when you last tested it if you let me know :)!

[edit] I set up a forum group where we can use to share the item but I think we should continue motivation / other discussions on this public forum so this topic stays relevant while we are actively working on it. We can always let people join in on the effort so we arn't competing any others working on it! It also gives us an easier way to ping the group (but save it for important items like when you find the working item or any changes to the weapon list so we don't flood peoples events!

I also noticed I have more CW Vouchers than I know what to do with. I'll be using those to make this a bit more exciting with a lottery :). The user who finds the weapon in their pool and shares it with the group I'll purchase a voucher eligible CW of their choosing.

I'm pretty sure I could do 60-70 weapons a week most weeks, though I'd rather do a little fewer (50 would be fine).

I can pretty easily do a set of ~80ish (or whatever we end up at in the end) weapons per week. I pretty easily get into the groove of switching them out, battling, forfeiting, rinse and repeat

I'm interested! I didn't realize the troll was actually beatable? I thought that was a joke from staff placed into the battle coliseum.

But I've been trying to get into battle more and maybe make some new friends and would like to try and participate if you'll take someone who is a semi-newbie with no prior knowledge of how the troll even functions. ;_; Because I kinda don't know what we are like...doing? Do we all have to use the exact same weapon at the exact same minute on him or something?

Ooh I also didn't know about the 5 wins mechanic! This site has so many little intricacies. Thanks for compiling all that information! So if I happen to figure out the weapon, I should stop at 4 wins and ping the group? I'll start trying all the random weapons that I have n' keep a list of the rejects!

Definitely stop at four wins so other people can have a chance! You can even get four wins with all of your pets.

The main problem people have when a weapon is found is someone getting the fifth win before everyone has had a chance to get their wins in. Sometimes it is accidental, but many times it has also been intentional. It can make it hard for people to stay motivated because finding a weapon takes a lot of work.

Jess nailed it :). The goals to stop at 4 - then share it in just the group forum. Posting it here on the public forum opens it up for someone whose not part of the group to accidently (or intentionally :!) get win 5 which would change the weapon and restart as back to step 1 😭. You'd ping the group in the private forum with the item and then a time frame of when we expect to reset it. It's not realistic for it to work for everyone the first time so hopefully everyones willing to stick around for a few runs. I'm in it for the long haul tho - I got yal as long as there's a few people interested ^_^. Theres bound to be a few hiccups along the way but its all in good fun :)!

Side note - I think we have a good size group now so I'm going to work on sending out more of the logistics in the private forums. Unless anyone wants to volunteer as a "pool monitor" I think we might be close to capacity :). Much more people and it'll get a little hard to manage on my own (at least until we get started!).

I'm a lot busier/more exhausted these days so I wouldn't have the time/energy to test too many weapons regularly, but I could do a small set. c:

I moved 200 of my T1 to T5 weapons to my armory, so I'll be ready when this goes live. In fact, I've already tested most of them. No dice.

Nevermind, I read the mechanics in OP.

You can switch me from tentative to in. Since this won't happen during holiday I shouldn't have a problem doing my section.
