I love the fall. Though in Florida we don't really see seasons like other places.

Yeah, my best friend down there says she really misses the different seasons back in here in Ohio. I would too.

But yessss, Halloween is right around the corner. One of my favorite holidays. Even though I don't decorate much anymore. I used to really go all out. My kids loved it. :)

Me and my husband don't decorate but we really want to. We have a small house so changing it for Halloween is a big hassle. We usually put up a Christmas tree, though. And have to move around the cages just for what ends up being a few months. I don't allow him to put it up until after Thanksgiving XD

Seems Hurricane Ian might hit so we'll be getting prepared. Birds have enough food so that's good.

I think if worse comes to worse I'll be able to stay with my dad but...my dad is a piece of doo doo so...don't really want to do that option.

I know what it's like to have to move stuff to decorate. I have to move a love seat out of the family room into the living room to put up our tree. And I can't get it till at least a week or two into December because we go with a live tree. my cats tend to LOVE the artificial ones, but will leave the lives ones alone, no problem. xD

I hope you aren't having bad storms!! <3 Let me know... and I hope you don't have to stay with your dad!!!

Welcome back, Jen! I've been playing for almost 14 years.... which is, ironically, over half my lifetime. Weird to think about! Something about Subeta is just such a fun environment and I never feel sad on here.

I remember growing up and we had cats. I think every kitten or nearly every kitten would hide in the tree during their first Christmas. We had a live one and I didn't like fake trees until I got older XD

It seems that Ian might be turning more towards me and I'm hoping that doesn't happen. We double checked if we had the supplies to survive if we lose power. The place we rent from hasn't sealed the front door yet so that will probably be leaking even if we just get Tropical Storm winds.

My cats completely avoid the live tree! Isn't that funny that yours hid in it? Maybe mine don't like the smell... but I figured it was due to the prickly needles. xD

Huggles back I've been praying for those in the path of this hurricane. My best friend is in Florida.. and my son in law works for a tree service here in Ohio, but they are in Florida now, doing storm work. Praying everyone stays safe.

How are things so far? I talked to my friend and she said mostly wind and rain so far. She still had power. I'm praying you don't lose power either!! <3

While I didn't get on my computer during the hurricane not much happened. It was a Category 1 once it reached me. So it was a lot of wind and rain. Most of it happening at night.

The only flooding came when one of the AC units broke.

I didn't lose any power but both my Mom and Dad did. Unfortunately he never lost cellphone signal while she did. She finally got cell signal back today but not power. So she was able to reassure me that everything was fine with her.

I'm really glad to hear it had downgraded by the time it reached you!!!

Has your mom got her power back yet? I read somewhere that they were looking at weeks for power restoration. :'(

I was happy that it downgraded. Was keeping an eye on the speed XD

She hasn't contacted me back about that. She'll be staying with her parents until her power comes back.

The stuff we've seen on the news has been heartbreaking.

I haven't checked much besides making sure my family is doing good.

I haven't been up to much. Keeping up with my shows (currently House of the Dragon and The Rings of Power) and reading. The third graphic novel of the Animorphs series just came out so I'm reading that. Was so excited when it arrived in the mail XD

First day after the Hurricane had passed...I was excited to see actual sunlight XD

It had been so cloudy for nearly a week XD

Also keeping up with my writing. Finally half-way complete with my next Kafka's Men book. Narrator isn't a pleasant character and I do first person so...yeah...felt icky during some parts. As he's one of the love interests I also have to make him not completely irredeemable.

I'm definitely having a good time. xD I can't wait till Morostide! I have to be on my A game this year. I'm feeding a pet and I'll need to get doubles of anything that is food/wearable!! I wish they'd make it last all month, instead of just 2 weeks. Oh well... as much as I'm online, I should be able to do ok. Are you planning on participating in the trick or treating?? :)

We haven't started House of the Dragon yet. I'm hesitant to start a new series. My boyfriend tends to start them and then not finish them. So we shall see.

Good for you for keeping up with your writing! <3 Do you ever struggle with writer's block? My daughter is an aspiring artist. And she gets artist's block sometimes. I think that would be so hard to overcome.

Outfit Not Found

House of the Dragon has a lot of time jumps between episodes in the first season. For that reason alone I'm not declaring it one you have to see now. Plus last episode the lighting was nearly non-existent just so it'd be more realistic. Which works in some cases just not in that episode.

Never been in a tornado. Yeah, if you can't deal with hurricanes Florida isn't the state for you.

I don't usually encounter writer's block. I tend to stick to a schedule and just push through. Which is sometimes easier than others XD

I'm finishing a fight scene tonight and those are extremely hard for me. But I write stories where fighting is expected and would feel odd if it wasn't there.

My week is good :)

Yeah, I don't think I could deal with Florida for a lot of reasons. I like having 4 distinct seasons. Fall being my favorite! I'd definitely miss it.
