that's all perfectly normally I'm afraid to say. When I lost my fur baby Chubs (my cat sine I was 18) like 13-14 years old I was crushed. He'd been apart of my life for so long that not having him around was really difficult and lots of random tears. And a lot of feeling "normal" then completely a basket case/crying. I will tell you that it does get better but the only real cure for it is time....which sucks in the "now" but truly the only thing that eventually helped was the passing of time. Even then I'd have facebook memories pop up from when he died/when I posted about losing my baby 4-5 years later and I'd bawl/be super melancholy...so it will get better and just allow yourself the time to grieve as much or as little as you need. There's no shame in missing your dear friend <3

I'm really sorry you are having to go through all of that. I can't even imagine trying to be somewhat functional. I mean I understand they don't want you to move but making someone completely bed ridden without giving them doable alternatives is also not a great answer. Like you said you need to at least be able to move/use the potty/wash hands/get back to bed. Not to mention they don't know folks situations...how are you supposed to eat/care for yourself if you didn't happen to have someone who could cook for you or clean you know? I would 100% mention it to your doctor because its not acceptable and I would tell him all the reasons for why you feel that way...and if you are stuck in bed maybe write him a letter about said other person and all the details because that's also not acceptable. Its too bad you weren't able to get your new glasses before you had to go to the doctor so then at least you could read/watch telly better while being stuck in bed :( Sending major healing vibes your way though <3

I'm not sure what is in the trap. It smells gross and "attracts" flies to go into the bag (then they can't get out and they drown. So that's why its not like by your front door....its meant to be on your property but a bit away to "attract" them so they leave you alone....I'm not sure but I'm grateful that they are in the bag and not by us LOL

Does your husband feel like it's a system fail? I would be upset if she wasn't special needs.

me too! Hubs put up a few new bags lol there was SO many in the other ones...but that means they were in the bags and not biting us...though for some odd reason they are tearing up our street and the street next to us (corner lot) and redoing the pavement so we can't even enjoy the yard at the moment lol :P I hope they get done soon :P and I have to send hubs to post office very shortly lol

I actually miss Atlanta and really did like it there. When I got pregnant I wanted to move back home so Liz could be near family. I don't miss the heat though. LOL! One year ago, here, near Seattle, we had 3 days in a row over 100 degrees. One of them was 106. 😳

well the funny things she's up to is daddy has been teaching her how to use the "remote" so like when she wants interactive tv shows (thanks so much netflix /endsarcasm) lol and when we grabbed some things today she was whispering to one of the ladies working there and then she was saying like random things like whatcha got back here? Do you have any food? lol and right now she's eating a spicy chicken sandwich from mcdonalds and she just went in the bathroom and like leaned forward to drink water like the cat does and hubs asked if she wanted more chicken sandwich and even though she said its hot she wants more? lol XD And WOW $40 for lip balms? yikes! What would you have done if they weren't out of stock? lol XD

to be fair...whenever we go in there to pee the cat jumps up and we turn on the faucet for him sooooooo she's been watching him and I guess after having a spicy sandwich she just went for it :P And kids are weird...like I won't even eat the spicy mcchickens because they are really hot lol And haha you sure did luck out on those lip balms :P and that makes sense too...if she's working and doesn't spend all her funds well I guess that's not a huge deal lol :)

the cat we lost to cancer was a torbie, she had brown/black stripes with some orangish patches all over.

:-D She is so smart! If you do it for the cat then she's thinking they'll do it for me. We had been trying to get Liz to figure money out and then covid (didn't want her to handle money) so I just started paying for all of her fun stuff, so now she thinks I need to buy her whatever she wants. :-P
