Had storms move through late this morning. Moved quick, got super dark, only had like 15 minutes of wind, but it was enough to cut out power. Was without power for almost 8 hours. Fun times. My brother went out to get us just some fast food for dinner and five minutes after he left the power was back. He said he saw the guy up in a tree on a cherry picker when he was on his way home. Expecting storms tomorrow too but really hope the power stays on.

i have a fan but just not my thing. To windy and i always need to sneeze... lol
Happy sunday all!
After a few very hot days we had 2 cool days. Since yesterday the heat is back.. no fun... Will cool down somewhere on tuesday.
Had a day off yesterday and went to a crafty date in a town nearby. Worked on my planner, bullet journal and mini journal. Had a fun time, relaxed and met new people.
Back to work today at noon, just 5 hours luckly.
- i hate it when a storm blows in that fast. it gives you no time to get things stowed so they don't get blown away. we live in the country so any time there's a stiff breeze our power flickers. it's aggravating. i do remember one summer when we had all the clothes outside drying in a lovely summer day. next thing we know it's pouring and we're trying to get everything in the baskets so they wouldn't get blown away. no such luck... 😂the next day our next door neighbor brought a couple of our pillow cases back. apparently they had blown all the way to her house (she lived a good 1/4 mile away). 😆 - well, what ever you do to stay cool keep it handy. heat stroke is nothing to mess with. ;) i'm glad you enjoyed your day crafting. neugarten is open now. have you seen any of the new stuff? :D
trying to stay cool. We now have a few cool days but then hot again .. sheesh..
I haven't looked at the shops yet. I do find it a shame it's so pricey
Sorry I've been at my mom's for around a week. I've also been up since six so sorry if I sound odder than normal XD
Biofreeze is basically a cold cream that eases pain.
My tendonitis affects my entire feet and there's not one specific point.
I don't know the name of the brace but it's a kind that slides under the tongue of a shoe which makes it my favorite so far. Had one odd one that I had to pump.
Man I wish we had those kind of storms further south than you! It's just mostly been dark and gray, with occasional bouts of light rain. GAAHH I hate that b/c our ground is SO dry and I hate watering everything. All the house plants I have on the porch are enough! :P Still dark and gray, today. These are the annoying gray days so common in our state....
Biofreeze is similar to icy hot or ben-gay as it's just a cream that does a certain action; In this case it makes the skin FEEL very cool. I'd say that lidocaine is pretty close as they're both a numbing agent but one gives a different effect for muscles. I've used biofreeze often after it was allowed outside of the chiropractor's office and in to the stores. Still smelly and still temporary.

I mean, you're in TX right?
My youngest is currently in Dallas, so she shares the temps while she lays out at the pool, lol. She's also shared the humidity which has been in the 40's, while it's been in the high 60's and 70's in my area. While not as dry as AZ, it seems rather temperate.
Saw a little special on the weather channel about TX and that it was interesting b/c of it's location and size, it has 3-4 types of zones to it. Southern being the more tropical zone; Western being the dry and desert type zone and eastern being the favorable of them all. Funny thing was, I caught this before she left to go down there for her job.

Yes. Arlington (border Ft. Worth on the east, and about 21 miles west of Dallas) in North Central Texas. Yeah, we have several zones, and they're all varying degrees of hot. lol The Panhandle which is way too wide to be called that) is north and flat, but does get a lot of snow, unlike the rest of the state. East Texas is beautiful with the huge trees and gets a lot more rain than here. West Texas is miles and miles of miles and miles, as Bob Hope said once. lol Gah, its the worst. Central Texas is Hill Country; its pretty but far too hot and South Texas is just more of the miles and miles to me but with more trees and even hotter. All along the coast of the Gulf of Mexico isn't bad, except for hurricanes.
Hi all! I hope everyone is having a good week so far :)
I live in Texas also, between Ft. Worth and Dallas. Since I have a toddler, I've been keeping us inside with the heat that we have now. If I get antsy, I'll take him to an indoor playground or to the rec center for indoor swimming.
Hope you're getting, or got, some of the rain today. Quite the dreary day. The storm that knocked out our power we actually didn't get the storm part. Just a brief wind event that took out a power line somewhere (the street over I think). All the rain, thunder, lightening happened to our south and east. Only thing I ever water are any flowers in pots. If we grew veggies I'd water those too. The actual flower gardens and lawn are on their own. Not enough funds to pay for that much water. Looking forward to the weekend. Weather looks like it's going to be very nice.
waves to everyone

- i hope your cool days last. :) this year i only got the new stuff that was for collectibles, etc. a friend did tell me the plastic-free and chalks items were good background items to snag. :D
- i hope you had a good time at your mom's house. it's nice to get away for a bit. :) thanks for the info. hubby got a thing of biofreeze off the internet and i tried it out. to be honest, i don't like the biofreeze or the aspercreme/lidocaine. neither helped the problem. the only thing that has seemed to help is just not walking on it. i'm going to see if any of the foot braces hubby found on the internet have a way to go over the tongue of the shoe:D ❤ - thanks for the info. :D as i said above, i tried them both and don't like either.thankfully, the tendonitis is slowly going away. :D
waves hi to and - i hope you all are staying cool! :D
Someone let me know that there is a glitch where your smail preferences may be set to buddies only (if you didn't have it set to that). You might want to check in case you want it set to anyone can smail you. I had to reset mine.

Thanks for the information. With this change, a lot of things around here has been messed up. At last it is being fixed though.
I've been staying inside as much as possible due to this heat. We really need rain here!
Thanks! I had to reset mine too. I'd have never known about that.
Your HA is gorgeous! Did you have any more power outages? Hope not. Wish we could have some of your rain too.
Hi! You live close to me. I didn't realize that. This heat is awful. It's also normal for most years, unfortunately, and August is our hottest month, so I can't wait to see that! Sarcasm dripping Ugh. :)
I'm not ready for what August has in store and I'm so over this heat this year. I'm doing as much as I can to keep what plants I have left alive in the garden. Fall planting is supposed to be now thru August, but not year. I'll put up a greenhouse and fingers crossed can get them going and plant in September.
Thank you so much for that, I just checked mine and sure enough mine was set to buddies only. Certainly changed that right away! Good catch!
We hope for fall in October, and sometimes we get it... September is still usually hot but sometimes it does cool off some. Have you lived here a long time? I was born in Dallas and never moved out of the Metroplex. I just never could be too far away from my family.
- thanks for the heads-up. i'll check mine in a moment. :)
- i'd send the rain to you if i could. we're haveing thunderstorms and downpours every day in the afternoon. it makes it very humid. if i didn't know better i'd think we'd somehow transported to florida. 😆 but the heat is no laughing matter. i'm glad you're staying cool. :D
