have you been having hot weather in Scotland as well? It's been pretty warm here in the Netherlands

I've had a terrible week at work. We had to do the quarterly planning and that's always stressful. But this time it went over so badly that half my team is threatening to quit :(

- have you tried to substitute chicken or turkey for the pork? it wouldn't be exactly the same but may give you the texture and flavor?

- i'm glad you're feeling better and got your vacation days back. what are you going to do for your august vacation?

- my ankle is giving me fits but i see an orthopedic doc about it on the twelfth, so it's all good. :) i'm sorry you're job is giving yu fits. :( what happens if they do quit? (i hope they don't, though.)

This is not the first time this happens. I've seen so many people quit over the 4 years I work here. They will bring in new people who will be depending on those who are staying a lot, because we'll have all the knowledge. But new people will raise the team spirit because they still think they can fix everything. Then at some point, people will get demotivated again and there will be a new wave of colleagues who leave. It's a huge part of why I don't want to work at this company anymore. I've seen so many colleagues come and go within only 4 years and the managers don't seem to learn anything from it.

maybe do the things i wanted to do when i was sick and suppose to have a vacation. Not sure, yet, but i have time to think about it as it's the end of august. Hope they do something about your ancle. that's sad and not good. Did you tell the managers did as clearly they don't see it

Tonight PARTY! Hornbach (the shop where i work) is celebrating there 25th anniversary in Holland. So we have a party, no clue what to expect all i know we get food, drinks and there are great music acts. Will be from 8pm till 1am.. Then back home, they got us a bus.. Will be in bed late, working on sunday at noon.

Wish me luck tomorrow.. lol

Usually I get them from Publix (pre-made subs) or 7 Eleven which don't allow you to customize the sandwich.

How was the party?

I went to Haarlem with two friends yesterday. Today I stayed home and relaxed. I played some minecraft with my son.

Edit: After more than 6 weeks of waiting I finally had the ultrasound today. We saw a heartbeat (it's not twins) and my pregnancy was estimated at 10 weeks and 2 days. I had previously calculated that I should be almost 11 weeks along by now, so either my body was a bit off or the calculations are a bit off. I was told that there could be some blood loss at within the next few weeks because she saw some scarring in my uterus that is still healing. But it will likely not cause a miscarriage, so that's what I'm clinging onto for now. I am feeling a bit more at ease and I think I'm finally ready to tell my family I'm pregnant. It's going to be a tricky one, because I know my sister in law really wants to have children but has a lot of difficulties conceiving.

Happy 4th of july my american friends!

Party was great! Foods, drinks, games, a photo booth, food trucks & music. We had some nice music act like: Wilbert Pigmans (never heard of him but he has a song called De Toreador), Def Rhymes (they found him under a stone) and kris kross amsterdam. I was dead tired as it ended at 1am... bus back from Utrecht to Zwolle (we had to wait 30 minutes to be sure we had everyone). Was home at 3am... woke up twice due my cats and gave up at 9am.

And sadly i had to work a few hours to on sunday. Once home i was so tired! Did not have any dinner just some snacks and went to bed at 8pm Was in bed for over 12 hours, ok now. Luckly day off today

Sounds like a big deal party, and fun. I would probably have closed my cats out of the bedroom after the first time! Ugh. Mine usually don't wake me up, but when they get the rips in the middle of the night it isn't safe. :) The last time I slept 12 hours all together I was sedated! lol

Glad to hear everything is going well. Pregnancy is scary for sure and definitely keep thinking positive, no matter how small.

i never sleep that long, always wake up early and then i can't sleep anymore. If i close my bedroom door they will scratch it until i give in... gave up. But i do remove all the noisy toys so they can't play with it and wake me up.. lol!

i wanted to go home at 10:30pm but i could not as i was with work and the bus so had to wait... and it was not near where i live about 1 1/2 hours away so a taxi was a no go..

- your work party sounded fun. i'm glad you had a good time. :) i've been m.i.a. as my kids showed up for my birthday and stayed for the long 4th of july weekend.my kitchen cupboards are now empty and there isn't a clean towel in the house but i wouldn't have it any other way. :D

- XD good to hear 7-11 is still around and kicking. they used to be everywhere up here but sheetz and wawa have gobbled them up.

Yeah, 7-11 is still around. They have some of the best cookiees. At least the one near my house does <3

I have a day off today, been working all week so hardly had any time to get online and do stuff as most of the time i am to tired to do stuff. Did some necessary stuff today (vacumm, wash clothes and clean toilet & bathroom) and not doing much after that. Been a couch potato. I did order take out, hope they come soon. Orderd a loaded burger with fries and a slice of cheese cake.

I'm getting the fourth book in my series Kafka's Men ready for pre-order.

The cover was a pain in the See You Next Tuesday to make. Nearly beat up my computer at a few points XD
