I kinda want to see how they look on the window. Hopefully I will be on to see it next time! Come to think of it, I didn't see an event/notice about getting hit with a snowball.

By the way if you didn't know, you can toss snowballs at yourself. I'm busy throwing Icy Snowballs at me. :D

https://www.subetalodge.us/page/name/luminaire_overlays

The snowballs don't show up as events, just a quick red notice at the top of the page that's only there for a second. You fling the snowball at EmilyMae and it hits them... hard!

Thanks. I have that kitty. :)

Congrats to those who have the 50K snowballs. I've been throwing them since it started, including the big snowball fight a few years ago, but I only have 19800/50K and it will take me years to get 50K because I work and can't spend every minute doing nothing but snowballs. It's OK if they keep the 50K achievement, I just know it will take me a very long time in the future to get it.

Thank you so much for the Lumi gifts!!! I've been MIA again...online but working on cleaning out my wardrobe, which is a pain in the rear. The pie was yummy! I'll have to make a note on a recipe card about putting cinnamon sugar on the top crust, so I have a reminder next time. Eww, who even subscribes to medical magazines outside of doctors? My chiropractor has a wide assortment of magazines in their office, from hunting and fishing to cooking to horses. Other places always seem to have Reader's Digest. On Dec. 15 we had strong winds in our area, 90 to 100 mph winds. Our fence did not survive, the steel posts got bent parallel to the ground, so we'll have to re-do everything in the spring. We lost power for 24 hours as well, which meant most food in the fridge had to be tossed. We were lucky that we didn't have any fires but we were in the path of a large fire that moved through 4 counties. Christmas with the in-laws was maybe slightly worse than Thanksgiving...

SPOILER (click to toggle) I have no idea why some people want bushes and trees growing right up next to their house where the roots could push into the foundation. The day I found the flies in that bush, I first thought it was a swarm of bees because the buzzing was so loud. Do you end up smelling the dumpster from inside your apartment during warm weather? We don't get too many flies inside the house except for when the temps dropped and they moved into the garage to be warm. Nope, the clothes don't come out smelling like vinegar. That was a concern I had as well until I washed some musty towels with vinegar. I guess it helps break down residues in the fabrics. My mom sorts out her laundry by water temp and then sorts it into whites, lights, and darks. I don't bother sorting my laundry by color because then I'd have tiny loads. So far, we have tentatively decided on the middle name David (first name of two of my great-great-grandfathers), and I'm leaning towards the first name of William (great-great-grandfather from Ireland). Otherwise, the other names that we like are Cayden, Conner, Liam, or Alexander. I'd love to incorporate a name from my mom's side of the family, but I don't have much info on her side past my grandparents, except that my great-grandparents still spoke Norwegian when they settled in Minnesota. Chris's little brother suggested the name of Stanley and laughed immediately...like great so you can bully the kid by calling him flat Stanley....no thanks. They were able to get all the images they needed during the second ultrasound. I almost thought they wouldn't because he was laying on his back again but thankfully he started moving around. The ultrasounds were terrible but about halfway through each one I was getting heartburn from not being propped up enough. I also had to do a 1-hour glucose test last month. My OB only had the drink in fruit punch (which they found out has artificial strawberry in it), so I had to go to a clinic across the street to get a different flavor. I'm assuming I passed but I think I'll still fast before my next appointment just in case I have to do the 3-hour test....and I'll take a book along this time. I make sure my chicken is fully cooked too, I don't want to get sick from it still being slightly raw in the center. We cook chicken strips in an air fryer and have had to toss them back in because the chonkier strips didn't get fully cooked. I'm not sure how my SIL feels about MIL needing to share everything on Facebook, it's not something we've ever discussed, but I know she gets treated the same way I do, in that we only really matter when our husbands are around. I think that's exactly what my MIL assumes, that Chris and I will constantly leave our child with her or that we'll visit more because we have a kid. My mom never set up a crib for my nephew and she babysat him every day while his parents worked. The entitlement with MIL became more apparent at Christmas when she told my BIL & SIL that she was available to come babysit whenever they needed (SIL's mom lives 5-10 minutes away). I still need to ask Chris if I should ask his aunt to help with a baby shower (she is really sweet, I've told Chris a few times that I wished his aunt was my MIL instead). I told my mom that MIL has zero plans to help with one and expects us to buy everything and my mom right away said she could plan and host one. I just don't want my mom to do everything by herself. I'm helping with the guest list, and I'm tempted to not invite MIL. We sent out even fewer Christmas cards this year and since we didn't get many in return that list might grow even shorter. I was not thrilled with them, and any time Chris or I raised concerns about how our cats would be affected, the in-laws ignored them or brushed them off. Basically, we were told that the dog would stay in her bed and she wouldn't bother the cats...except she didn't stay in her bed or listen to any commands. I also don't trust their dog around our dogs (she's attacked our border collie) and I do not want her around our newborn because she has attacked two dogs that were being walked in the street, so who's to say she wouldn't flip and randomly attack again. Chris and I always ask before we bring a dog with us, it's just common courtesy. Oh no, don't worry about sounding harsh, I don't think highly of the kid either and I've known him for 10 years. In that time he hasn't matured at all, still has to be reminded to take the dog outside, feed the dog, and he's lied about not having homework (failing math because he didn't do any of the assignments). At one point, it was said that the youngest wanted to be a vet...sorry but he's not someone I would trust with my animals. Chris didn't hear his dad's dumb comment but he picked up that I had a major mood shift. If I hadn't been in the kitchen or been caught off guard by the comment, I would have schooled FIL on how his logic is flawed. MIL has this expectation that she will host every holiday so that she can have her family together. She hasn't yet realized that her married sons need/should be able to start their own holiday traditions. I made many trips to the bathroom on Christmas, so it would have been easy for me to avoid the dumb games. The in-laws didn't bring any games along, so I didn't have to worry about that. However, they wanted to take family pictures because they don't have any recent ones. They took pictures last spring, but apparently, those aren't recent enough...or they just wanted pictures of their pregnant DILs. I'll admit I didn't smile in a single photo they took. Chris's grandma from his dad's side was there as well as his grandpa from his mom's side, which is fine because I get along with them. It wasn't fine when the grandparents and in-laws constantly kept saying that BIL & SIL are having a girl or they're hoping for a granddaughter. FIL even said if it's a girl, we are buying her pink frilly dresses and you have no say. Chris and I were just completely disregarded and it because obvious which grandchild will get more attention from everyone. The in-laws also told Chris and I that after our child is born we must get professional pictures done to send to them. Chris asked where they said Sear's or JcPenny's...who went out of business near us. If they bring it up again, I found a studio near us that does newborn photography for $695 (gets you 15 retouched photos), and I'll tell the in-laws they are welcome to pay if they want the photos so dang bad. Chris and I just drove around our town to look at the lights on Christmas. We were so tired from a full day with his family that we just wanted to get home. Maybe next year, we'll look at the lights more. Those look really cool! It'd be neat to see what the effects do look like. It's not so much an issue with the in-laws not keeping it a secret, but that I know they will hound us for updates during labor or start their countdown to when they can come visit. I think we won't have the in-laws over to visit for the first month, but my parents will be welcome to visit after we've been home for a few days. I know my parents (mom especially) will most likely bring food and I won't be surprised if my mom asks if there's anything she can do around the house. The in-laws, I have a feeling will walk in with the expectation that they can hold the baby right away...not gonna happen, and the youngest will not be holding the baby for quite some time. I hate returning packages too. I never have the right-sized box, they're always too big or too small. Amazon does have an option to drop returns off at a UPS store without a box. Then the UPS store bundles all returns from the day or a span of days into one box to ship back. The back of the car is going to fill up so fast by the end of the year. I did end up getting a foldable travel bassinet yesterday. I figured it can be used around the house if I don't feel like moving the big bassinet around, we can use it at my parents when visiting and in the car if we need to change a diaper.
No worries :)

UGH I'm sorry your in-laws are such a pain in the ass. With the glucose test, they would have told you right away if you failed and asked you to come in for the 3 hour. So, no news is typically good news.

Thanks, it hasn't been enjoyable dealing with them since my SIL and I both announced our pregnancies. I'm mostly disappointed that the in-laws can't just be happy about getting two grandchildren in the span of 2 to 3 months. They can hope all they want that one will be a girl, but they have no control over that so I just wish they would keep it to themselves. My parents are just happy to be getting another grandchild, they don't care if it's a boy or girl. That's what I assumed, that by not getting a call it meant I passed the glucose test. My next appointment is Monday, so I'll know for sure next week.

You are very welcome Hun hugs and thank you <3 I can understand that! Yay! Glad it turned out good anyway :D I wish they had a reader's digest. I haven't seen one of those in a long time. It would deff be better!! Oh no 0_0 that is terrible! I am so glad it wasn't worse. It sounds horrible! Glad you are safe now hugs Daaaang sorry to hear that!

SPOILER (click to toggle) Ahhh I would have freaked out if I heard that! I probably would have just set the bush on fire lol! Good to know. I might have to try that. I am the same way! The fact that I have to pay for each load means I deff do a lot less sorting. Plus I don't really have any white clothes anyway. I tend to stick with darker colors. Those are really nice names :) it is great that you are looking at family names. Stanley? Ugh that kid annoys me and I don't even know him. I don't know how you put up with him. Awe I am glad you got some good images this time. Yeah those tests are never fun! Even worse if it makes you feel sick!! I always had to do the 3 hour one. Felt like it took twice as long. Nothing more boring then hanging around a doc office or hospital for hours. Glad they found out about the strawberry before you drank it 0_0. Yeah it is better to be safe then sorry. Wouldn't want to have to do it all over again! One day I need to get an air fryer. Do you like yours? Do you use it a lot? Ugh that is just terrible :( Once I had a kid I would spending LESS time with her and not more! I really can't stand entitled people. Sorry you have to deal with her! hugs Does your mom get along with his side of the family? Do you Aunt and Mom know each other? Maybe they can work together :) that would be great and it might stick it to the MIL. I personally wouldn't invite her, but who knows what kind of issues that would cause later. That is just terrible. They deff should have left the dog at home. You really need to tell them that dog is deff NOT allowed over after the baby is born!! I highly doubt that kid would be able to become a vet. It is a huge commitment that takes a lot of work. Way more work then he seems to be capable of! Mommy and Daddy can't do it for him. MIL always needs to realize that two of her sons married into other familys, and they are important too! Yeah having your own family traditions is very important. Espeically when you have a baby! I am so sorry to hear that :( it is a real shame that they feel that way. I know what it feels like to be pushed aside by a grandparent, and it is not a good feeling at all. My sister wa always "Granny's girl" and I was basically nobody! $695? 0_0 That is insane! Oh they can deff pay for those pics. I can understand that! It is amazing how stressful family can be lol. They look really cool. I saw a video where someone was using them and it worked on all the lights. Even car lights lol. All the breaklights looked like little red reindeers. The MIL will probably walk in expecting to be treated like a guest! It is great that at least you have your parents close by. I don't blame you at all for not wanting the in-laws over for a while. I would deff take advantage of that option! Going through all that hassle is just a pain! Yes anything small and portable is usefull for a lot of different things. It is crazy how many things someone so tiny needs 0_0
I am sorry this took so long! I never seem to find the time to be able to sit and have some quiet time!

It was mostly quiet here too. Except for the fireworks after midnight. Thankfully it did not last too long! Awe that is so sweet :) glad you got to chat with everyone!

Right now that I is how I feel just staring at all the freezing snow outside! Thanks to the wind I had to go out and chase down my decorations. My poor doggy decoration was frozen to the sidewalk 0_0 I had to pour some hot water on him and scrape him off the cement!

Yes thankfully! I usually wait until it calms down and put everything back out, but I am over it now lol! I have put everything back out there at least 3 times now. I love decorating, but not over and over again! It was only 20 today and the wind is just like frozen razor blades. I can deal with the cold, but not the freezing wind :(
