I hope your books sell fast. Great idea to" stay on schedule with my assignments," It always helps to keep those up to date. You keep up the amazing job your doing with your studies, grades & what ever else you need to do to get you where you need to be in college. My Friend Abrazos :D

First full work day of shop tomorrow. Mine will take another car until the other us finished. And when the time comes, I may be filling out forms regarding the incident itself. I guess if any compensation is to be had, mine will provide what's asked for.
I'm so happy you can take another car tomorrow that way you don't have to deal with the bus saves time also. That's nice to know your provider will pay for what you need done once you fill out the forms.Abrazos :D

Today's shop was cancelled, out instructor had an accident I think. So the students sign in and went home. We were asked to keep tabs online if anything changes.
Zo mine ate a breakfast buffet, and took care of some things early. I could also use this to continue my homework, not much to do otherwise.
oh no!! sorry about the shop being cancelled My Friend. Hope your instructor is ok.Sure am glad you got to take your car there. breakfast buffet sounds so good haven't been to a buffet since covid started. Abrazos :D

I suppose a message in my student email may clarify the situation. Mine will need to keep my spending slim to keep from going over in expenses. Mine have three major costs aside from utilities and necessities.
Fortunately the next semester isn't until August, saving $500 shouldn't be difficult.
sounds like you have it all figured out My Friend Abrazos :D

Well, today I've been notified that my car's is deemed a total loss. While I was able to drive it, the damages surpass the amount allowed by the insurer.
I'm left with a decision, I can accept a full settlement or keep my vehicle with a lower amount. I want to ask my siblings and father about this to consider my options. Both have advantages, but also their drawbacks. I need to decide ASAP, to minimize complications.
The days just run right away from me. so much to do, so little time!
Oh fabulous one! I know you posted somewhere. Thanks for looking out for me!
How are you? Still coming to subeta? I am mostly online with my phone these days, less time for the computer. :(
***Back to work after corona is just.... work. I do love the kids though. lousy pay. :P I am so ready to be rich financially stable. ;)
I look forward to when money no longer matters. Until then mine need to learn to better manage a limited income.
Part of that includes trading down to a flip phone. Having a smartphone can be a burden sometimes, especially when dealing with bad habits.
My car is now released, and the next step is the paperwork with the insurers. My settlement will be issued after the title and formalities are done. Keeping the car, even for a short time is impractical. So I washed my hands of it and will move on.
[Edit] How sweet it is! Tempest descended upon me to give me a hug. And during the winter storm that hit tonight.

My lands, you have had some busy days! I hope your instructor is doing ok, and also your friend and nephew. Any news on those folks?
So will you be looking for another vehicle, after you receive compensation for the loss?
Oh good, because I still have loads of them! I also need a lot more of them, but am not actively working on that achievement right now, so these all have your name on them. lol
It's going....lol We have had a few losses this past quarter. A few to disease, and a few to predators during the Autumn roundup, which is not new, but still annoying. Our weather is all wonky donkey. YIKES! Setting record highs in the 60's, and then the next day below zero. o.O How are you faring? ❤
My friend has recovered, but I don't have much on my nephew. I won't know about my instructor until this weekend.
[edit]My nephew is recovering, just enough to make a fine mess of my toy collection. At least he plays better than mine when younger. I ripped everything apart.
As for a vehicle, my father has offered his '06 Pontiac G6 to use until I can straighten out my situation. He suggests I give him $3k from the settlement and he'll turn over this car. I considered keeping my car to use as a project in shop, but would still have the body work to deal with after. The cost of repairs would not justify the few benefits it could offer.
We got hit by a cold snap, enough to snow a few inches overnight. The clouded skies also look like more precipitation in store.
Glad to hear that your friend and nephew are feeling better. That comment about your nephew playing, gave me the giggles. I can just see his little hands playing joyously. And you sound like my brother, who also ripped apart every toy he had. He liked seeing how things worked, as well as putting them all back together. lol
What do you think of your Dad's offer? Think you'll take him up on it? Sounds like a nice car!
Hope ya don't get too much snow! Makes me think of shoveling....gack!
They're young with a lot of fight in them, mine happy to see this outcome.
The difference is I wasn't able to rebuild the toys, that skill came a lot later.
My youngest brother suggests I keep the full sum to eventually buy a suitable truck for the both of us. 5k can be a boost towards any prospect. I am however at a loss when it come to some of the legal terms, I'm not certain how to obtain the documents asked for.
Do you get to play with your nephew often? I sure hope so! He is very lucky to have you in his life. So many young ones these days don't have positive role models to look to.
That sounds like a good idea from your younger brother too. Sounds like you have some positive prospects! Do you have anyone who can help you with the documents you need?
That's a term I like "positive role model", I hate being called "father figure". I've been insulted in worse.
It's a double edged sword about visits, I like the company, but have to show a lot of patience with the children.
I have asked for help, though it may be when they can make time.
Kids really can try the patience limit at times, but it sure sounds like he really enjoys his time with you.
Hopefully it won't be too long, and you can find something that will fit your needs.
You're going to freeze to death in that outfit.

Mine suppose four hours isn't enough time for inexperienced students to remove a transmission. Every group came close to fully dismount each car, but none came close to getting them out. In my group we were able to get all the bot off, and nearly have the hoist ready to remove. But the combined obstacles and some mistakes here and there slowed us enough to be one or two steps from the goal. I did observe some details about the methods to keep in mind some tools I forgot I had. They'll be included for next week, and the full semester.
Our instructor had also passed out certificates for students of last semester's brakes class, he aksed me to resend my digital copy to have a print made.
