sigh is reminded of times my beautiful pumpkin has been frosted here in OK.. Yeah, we have a place here called Turkey Mountain. It is, in fact, Not a mountain. (though it is the highest point anywhere nearby) We got the weirdest look when my lil' sis got to the country and heard the name. She was like 'are you kidding me?' "XD This was the flattest area she'd ever seen. When we took a trip out to Colorado a few years ago, I was able to see Real mountains for the first time in my life. The first time I Really understood 'majestic mountains'. Beautiful. <3

The old guy story made me laugh ^^ I feel like there's times someone uses dry humor and I get it and laugh, but other times I honestly can't tell if they're joking or not and I don't want them to think I'm being rude. Oh I know Lawton was cold and icy, I kept my pumpkin inside where it was warm. I didnt mind driving in the winter there, it was like Montana. I took drivers Ed in the winter as a teenager. We have the franklin mountains one side and the border of Mexico on the other side, we can stand on the university grounds and look down into Mexico. Must say, we have great food here. So I got chicken tortilla soup over by Ennis, Texas visiting my youngest in laws, and I thought oh this is a nice soup, but you missed the boat. Here we get real chicken tortilla soup, and freshly made tortillas.

The Rocky mountains is a beautiful mountain range that I grew up near, and so are mountains in Colorado. My younger son proposed to his wife on the tallest peak in Colorado.

Oh thats part of the dry humor because the person is being seriously silly and you dont know take them serious or laugh.

military bases nearby make life interesting, meeting people from across the US, and foreign countries. Interesting to hear of their worldly travels. Hubby and I have travel a lot, we met in the military in Germany before the Berlin wall went down.

I've never been abroad myself, but the mention of Germany reminded me of something my dad told me once. While he had been stationed there back in the ...late 70's at some point. (I'm now second guessing myself... it's been so long since he told me this story, I don't actually recall if he was there for the military or something else, but he was in the military at the time.) It had snowed a lot. He mentioned walking the streets in the early morning and it being So silent. There was also mention of a church he saw. I don't remember if it was a Sunday, or near Christmas, but I remember stories I'm told as images in my head. And it sounded beautiful.
I don't really know how to describe it, but everything I've heard and have in family history from there (my G-ma's German) is good people, good food, and beautiful places.

Well I know the best restaurant in the city, I have been going to it since 1993. Family owned, and has been working since 1944.

Oh Germany is fun to visit museums, castles, the Christmas market is an absolute must at Christmas time, Crystal market, the bakeries are a must to especially at Christmas. My middle son was born in Kitzingen, so he can apply for German citizenship if he wants. Check around for a German bakery near you, I am lucky I have one 4 blocks away. The food is so good.

I got to visit the Ulm Munster cathedral, beautiful craftsman ship. I learned don't be in the bell tower when it strikes the hour, it was so loud.

The work isn't done yet, but he thanked my dad the next day for how it looked. It's odd that we have a house now and I wonder why he doesn't want to work more on it, but it is whatever. I'll do it cause i can get outside and also take the kiddo outside while I work.

My dad was stationed at Hahn Air Base from 87-91. I got to go see the Wall before and after it opened. Walking into East Berlin at 9 yrs old was something else! Germany was our favorite place to live and we didn't want to leave there after he retired, but we couldn't stay.

Yup! We are all good now, like I mentioned he thanked my dad for the work that he did do. There is still a lot more to do, but now the heat is here, so got to wait until late in the evening or wake up super early! How are you and happy Friday!

i always look at your tremendous HAs and your clever status' trying to figure out what maybe you were thinking when you write them:) My pup will get bigger than a yorkie because the poodle in him. I just hope he isn't a yapper i hate that . Biscuit had a full bark whick better than that high pitch yap hahah is the first thing along with the pottie i will train him at!!
