Ah, yeah, if you're not doing "cell-shaded" art, that won't translate that well to CWs. I'm not a big CW person myself, but when someone commissions a design, they usually pay up front for it. Or some in-demand artists auction off pre-completed designs. Depending on the type of item, there's a base cost, and the submitter can set the price at anything above that, and they get all of that profit. So if a CW has a base price of 300 CSC because it's in the shoulder layer, and you set the price for 600, you'd get 300 CSC each time someone buys one.

But obviously you don't need to sell art if you don't want, hahaha! But if it was something you wanted, I think you could definitely do it! I'd be your first customer. :"D

Haha, yeah, I know what you mean! I used to hoard all my collection items in my vault, figuring I could put them in later, or sell them if the price spiked or something. But now I'm all for whatever makes it the easiest to keep track of my collections. Which, it turns out, is just putting them into the collection, haha.

Definitely! The most prolific CWers just never have to worry about CSC, hahaha. One day I'd like to try my hand at drawing a little one. I think it'd be fun, I just have no idea what I'd make. xD

Oh, yeah, people that offer art for dances/ToT/flowers always seem to be very successful! But I admittedly know nothing about art pricing, haha. But even though they're quick sketches, in my humble opinion I think they show strong technical chops. You seem to have a good sense of facial structure, which isn't the case for a lot of people!

Nothing wrong with hoarding! You never know when your priorities might change.

CWs feel like such a dangerous path, so I mostly avoid that part of the site. xD Except that a couple of my friends release them, and they're always so pretty! 🥲 But I mostly use vouchers, so it's not terrible as long as they don't release 20 things at once, haha.

I was so distracted by the free shop I didn't see your earlier post Walrus xP I was surprised that Gaia is still around too! I think I checked in on it years ago and there was some serious hyperinflation going on, all items costing billions or more, or something like that o.o Also, kind of surprised Neopets is still around, it looks quite dated and I felt like it was going downhill when I was on there last, which was forever ago.

I also try to avoid the CW part of the site, but it's hard when I see so many pretty HAs ^^' How do vouchers work, can you pick any CW with them? Does the creator/artist still get CSC? (Sorry I ask so many questions!)

I have some friends who still play Neo, and apparently they're finally starting to do some work on it. I forgot the birthday on my account so I haven't logged back in to check it out, which is probably for the best. 😅

You can buy any CW that costs 700 csc or less with a voucher! And yup, the submitter gets the same profit they would if you'd just bought with csc. And no worries, it's good to ask questions. :D

Anyone else seeing the main shops being weird? Sometimes they only show the first 100 items in the shop, even if there are many more stocked. 😬 I assume it's fallout from whatever they're testing to keep the free shop from "overflowing". Or else it's just something wack on my end. n_n' Either way, sounds like a good reason to just focus on free shop and quests today.

I've lost my old Neopets account too, I knew the birthday, but not the email I had - actually I suspect I know, but it's one that doesn't exist anymore, something silly like Hello Kitty email rather than hotmail or something xP (Ah, to be a kid again...) I kinda wish I could peep in on my account to see what was there, but I think at this point it's probably been cleared even if I could get in.

The vouchers sound like a pretty cool idea, that way subscribers can contribute to the CW market without having to buy CSC. I also like that buddy GAs are a thing now too otherwise I probably wouldn't ever have a GA ^^' Although I suppose I've survived just fine without, but it's nice to have, I like having more quests and it certainly was useful to have for something like QaT c:

Yeah, I think something is up. For the past hour or so, I've only gotten RSables, and even then, nothing above a normal. And the ones with a lot in stock have been Mundane or Really Common. Looks like Amber maybe needs to fill it back up! (No complaints here, though! I can actually focus on other things for a bit. xD) Yesterday I got an ~80m book from an old anniversary bag, so that was pretty great!
