I had aimed to try and reduce my anxiety today... spent part of the day in my garden but when I came back goodness gracious! We have our 1st Covid confirmed case in the residence. The person has been hospitalized. What's even more worrisome is that the person was double vaccinated. I spent a good part of the rest of the day trying to deal with the crisis... which included an adventure of being disturbed while taking my bath and making puddles everywhere while trying to deal with problems that developed earlier this evening. Sanitary measures are going to be put back in place tomorrow morning... a lot of people talked to that resident. I'm hoping it's only 1 isolated case.

The biggest challenge was getting help. As an admin, I have obligations but also limits. At least tomorrow morning it'll be official for the safety measures, which is what matters most. The rest is wait, hope, and see.

Most weren't wearing masks since late July... most residents are double vaccinated and we were vaccinated in the residence itself. It gave a bit of a false sense of security... delta is harsher & tougher. I had to verify with the wife to make sure before alerting the other admins. She was crying & she's afraid... I couldn't even give her a hug. I offered to grocery shop for her and get some frozen meals since usually her husband cooks. She refused but she thanked me. She's waiting for her test result. She's notified those that were in contact with her husband. Only time will tell.

I totally understand about wanting to hug and not being able to. And also about that false sense of security. My workplace is full of it and one of them refused to be vaccinated at all and had a mild case of covid last month. The other 'powers that be' were like, oh it's fine we've all had the shots. I was in more direct contact with the chick and they were like, nah you're good, we expect you at work. Thankfully, I never got sick, but it was a stressful time. And now there's more crap at work stressing me out. Anyway...I hope that things go well for your residents and for you!

Wow, that sucks about how they handled things at your workplace. So you're getting a new job?? Or just searching right now? The demand for workers is insane in some industries, and they are hiring for a lot more than what I'm making. It's so tempting to jump ship, but the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

I spent this morning giving arguments for a court case the admins are dealing with. Mutters, hexes, why do I have to deal with such incompetence? Sighs... sniffles, stuck with them for now, narrows eyes.
Being kind to someone in need is part of my nature... even though this woman has repeatedly stabbed me in the back and been a bully. The husband has serious issues too... but I wish him a speedy recovery. It's just the person I am. Anyways... sorry about the drama, it was exploding at all seams last night. I usually try to put pictures instead...
