Dang it. I read this thread, saw snowballs were causing problems, went into my wardrobe to put on my shield, and a few minutes later my stage 5 strain is gone. Shouldn’t have changed my avatar. :(

Woke up to try to see stage 6 and my strain Pointy (stage 5) just disappeared. I didn’t use wardrobe or got an event for any snowball.

Just lost my stage 5 strain. Had pointy, was still active when I checked at 5:30-ish AM subeta time. Came back after 6 to check the next stage and it had disappeared. Haven't used the wardrobe at all since the event started, no events for snowballs :'(

Lost my stage 5 as well. I got Magical from the fast, random option. it was still there around 4am when i last checked. Haven't used the wardrobe or anything :'(

edit: there are some speculations we've reached stage 6 and thats why it crashed which would make sense since i think (most) of the people who lost the infections are the ones who progressed the fastest. i hope thats the case ;;___;;

I've also lost my strain (Pointy) after stage 4 or 5. I did use the wardrobe yesterday, but still had my strain after I'd saved.

Stage 5 pointy gone for me, too. Haven't used the wardrobe and to my knowledge didn't get hit by snowballs, so I don't know what the issue is... Quite possibly I got to stage 6, and that caused the issue, since by my estimate I was > 7h on stage 5. I filed a ticket about this before I noticed that this thread existed.

It’s entirely possible the loss was because the next stage not being part of the wardrobe yet.

I was fairly fast to progress and the strain didn’t disappear as soon as I made a new after, so I would assume maybe it was just a coincidence I was using the wardrobe a few minutes before I “progressed” onto the next stage.

Lost stage 5 grainy in the past hour or so. I should have reached stage 6 right about now, I think

I was wearing an older skin for biting purposes but hadn’t used the wardrobe today until after my new infection vanished

I'm at stage 5 and I really hope I don't lose it, I seriously do not want to have to wait through all the stages again. I'm hoping that it's the same reason as last year, that stage 6 is the last stage and the skins just haven't been added yet so hopefully the staff can unlock them for us when they're online.

Seems it happened to me too. I was looking like this which I think is stage 5..., then poof! Biting people with an old skin on until I hear what I should do.

What happened to my little crab buddies? 😭 I was slated to hit stage 6 of grainy this morning by 5-6am.

A wardrobe glitch that is NOT snowballs is clearing all the new strains on stage 6, which might be competition. :( Everyone is getting hit with it.

Lost Magical stage 4-5 while I was asleep / not even on the site. I haven't been hit by a snowball OR went to the wardrobe since this event started.

i agree with - its best to wait it out in case they can still be saved or in the case they just need unlocking id advise not to sign up for any strain again while we wait for the staff
