Masq doesn't usually start until late in March these days anyway.

Yeah, lately Masquerade tends to be late March/early April, and then Vesnali is in May now. So there should still be enough room for all of the holidays, even if some things get delayed a bit.

I'm just as excited as anyone else for Survival, but I'm willing to be patient considering all that's going on right now. I don't know what all of the staff's situations are, but being in a state that was one of the worst affected due to gross incompetence, there are way worse things to be upset about right now than online events being a bit late. I'll be looking forward to it once it's ready eventually. Hope everyone is still doing alright <3

I've got Survival jitters. Every time the site lags even a bit for me, I go check the Item Directory to see if staff are uploading items to the site.

So ready for survival. It's probably the event I've always looked forward to most.

I hope it will start today, otherwise it will have been the latest Survival has ever started. However, I would prefer it if the staff were available enough not just to add the items and start the event, but also to fix any problems that will inevitably happen, especially when it comes to skins and the possibility of losing strain progressions (that has happened before). Although apparently they've changed how they work this year, maybe to work with the new wardrobe, or just take less time between stages. What I'm saying is, I think it's better if it started later when problems can easily be solved rather than earlier before everything is ready and before they know things work for certain.

I'm still going to keep looking at the Directory, though, especially if the Token Shop will happen soon (I can usually tell if there's a new item that's an Artifact with no official price, but it could always be BHH or the Blue Building instead), or if we'll be getting the monthly challenger earlier than last month.

Does anyone think it might start today? I'm sooo ready!

I keep checking the directory but nothing. Since weather is still quite the jerk maybe we might not see anything today but perhaps tomorrow?

No, it usually starts later in the day. I looked at old news posts last week and wrote down the below. It really could start any day at any time, but afternoon is typical.

Not wanting to rush anything and I'm not in a hurry to start, as life offline is more important right now... but it's a shame they couldn't open up the forums/kissing links working, let people start getting hearts then add the new stuff over time?

While I do think that stuff is unlikely to be too buggy, I can imagine they wouldn't want to do that during a time when more staff aren't readily available. The site goes through updates and changes every year, so there's no telling whether or not a random bug could crop up, even with an unchanged system such as Kissing. I'm sure they'd want everyone to be present to be able to address and fix things ASAP in case that happened so even introducing parts of the event before everyone is ready might be a bad idea. :( I doubt staff is just sitting on their hands and waiting to start stuff anyway, so it could be that no one is available to even get those few things up and running atm. (Also, sidenote: not saying you were implying that staff are being lazy or something like that, as you were being perfectly respectful, just wanted to voice my two cents :) )

Alright, if it isn't today, then I'm calling the Token Shop happening instead. I just feel like that's going to happen soon. Maybe the news post will even mention Survival starting the day after.

I wouldn't worry too much about time, because they've had the event extend into March before and made sure it was at least 2 weeks. It's Morostide that I worry about being shorter when it starts later (but they ended up havig to extend last year's Moro anyway).

It really does feel like events are starting later and later these days, though. I feel like the Holiday Schedule needs a bit of an update to make it clearer, or maybe just a news post saying that events generally start later nowadays because of them wanting to make sure everything works as opposed to starting them at the expected time and everything going wrong.

Looks like we have a few days to go yet :( I understand though, times are really tough right now and a fictional game is, perhaps, quite low on the list of priorities. It's understandable.

I'm excited for faster progressions and also the new strains having less stages (I don't know if that's because the artists have been too busy to draw 8 stages or if they just wanted to have more skins that take less time to get), hopefully it will start before the end of this month, but I guess they didn't want to promise a specific frame of time. But anyway, it'll make getting the skins less tedious, and I'm glad they could find a way to shorten the times, I heard it was hard to code or something.
