In all honestly, Subeta doesn't have the means to hire another person right now to work on custom wearables - and I would say there isn't enough work to have even more people working on it at this time (even if it doesn't seem like it). I have a great team with and doing things from the UA side, and I do have back-up from some members of the Creative team for when I'm on vacation or have an emergency, that sort of thing :) If I really start to struggle, I can always call on one of them to help!
However, I love doing custom wearables. It is actually quite relaxing for me to look at them after work when I can, to admire the pretty artwork and get those recolors especially accepted. Starting out my week by doing custom wearables on Sundays is rewarding! Luckily, the majority of people involved in CWs are patient and kind, which I truly appreciate ❤️
Don't burn yourself out Jessi! Thank you for doing the queue, we all appreciate it so much!
Yes, the majority of them are.
I know you have others but I think there's a primary that is you and only you can do and that is irreplaceable which is honestly scary from a business standpoint (but also a more endearing one since you're so involved w/ all of us).
There's never enough work until there's too much work, which always comes in waves and I know you see that in your own job. Eh... don't mean to get sidetracked here.
The point I'm trying to convey is a backup. I hope that you have one that can cover for you when or if you get sick because WE know that no matter what, the one thing (well 2 things) you would be worried about is the CW community and your main job as far as the other staffers and the patients. Everyone wants to rally behind hiring another programmer but they don't think about the types of positions that you hold.
You may not get burned out so easily on doing Subeta stuff, but I think you allow your health to suffer a little more than you should and that's upsetting. (NOT b/c of doing Subeta stuff, just to be clear.)
While I'm not a releaser yet, I can still ask, what would we do without you? <3

Honey, stop worrying so much, we miss you, but you have to take care of you first, we'll still be here waiting and loving and appreciate what you're doing, you're amazing <3
sounds like the perfect time to ask for a raise, lol. But yah, real life comes first over cws! Make sure you are taking care of yourself as well.
You work so hard, please take care of yourself first! <3 That is the most important thing, the queue can always wait. :)
I hope your help at your job come back soon. Yes sometimes you have to say no at work 😊 When the queue doesn't get done all I do is worry that something happened to a fur baby or something else happened at work! 😊We always are patient
Hello friends! A few quick things:
If you are hoping to get something in for Valentine's Day and it either isn't in yet OR I denied it today, I'll be taking a VERY quick look through the queue tomorrow to accept any Valentine-y items.
My work schedule is clearing up a bit! I work my normal schedule this week even (though still very short staffed). This means things are getting easier from a CW standpoint as well, of course
Please read As many of you know, I hang out on Discord. This isn't a secret. I'm in the official Subeta Discord, in a lot of players' Discord servers, and I have my Discord user name on my profile, I am always super happy (and excited!) to chat with people about anything from video games to cats to burrito bowls.
However, it is extremely inappropriate to message me on there with Custom Wearable related questions.
I use Discord to socialize and chat. To be messaged out of the blue by people who have never bothered to say hi but expect me to answer custom wearable related questions is, quite frankly, rude. It happens more than it should (I mean, it shouldn't happen at all), and I feel like I finally need to say something about it. Don't do this.
If you have a CW related question, submit a ticket. It will be forwarded to me and I will answer it while I'm working. If you have a question about something on site that isn't even related to CWs and you want to ask me specifically, that's fine - you can ask your ticket to be forwarded to me. I'm happy to help! But please don't message me off site for this sort of thing. I really don't want to have to lock down my Discord, because I genuinely enjoy chatting with people.
That being said, if you want to message me to say hi - that's awesome! Go ahead and do that :)
frantically pawns things for my graveyard set to get on-site
ALSO HI! I hope folks pay attention to that third point because that is super duper inappropriate =/
I'm also glad to read your work life is getting a little smoother again!
Frantically fixes the item and uploads.
Thanks for doing double duty on these for V-day, we do appreciate it.
Duly noted. Glad I don’t do Discord.

The queue will be done on Wednesday instead of Thursday this week due to a change in my schedule for the week :) Kind of excited to have Wednesday off for some mid-week work here!
Not sure what you mean by 'wait' :) I'm doing the queue today, as always. It will just be done later this week on Wednesday rather than Thursday evening.
ah ok, I can never recall if ya still do em sundays, tbh never submitted one this close to the weekend before
What about a volunteer type helper that is well qualified?? Just a thought...

from personal experience, this is not a "volunteer" job. I know people often think it is and offer their help in that regards, and it is appreciated. But fun story: when I first started working for Subeta several years ago now, I was being paid in CSC (by choice - essentially, I volunteered to do CWs, much like a lot of you are). After 5 months I realized I couldn't do it anymore without actual pay. It seems like it's fun to volunteer for it, but it is actual work, and no one should have to work without being fairly compensated. I'm a big believer in this for everything and everyone. Don't sell yourself short by volunteering for something you should be getting paid for!
This ping reminded me I need to find the files somewhere on my computer for submitting a cw. I keep forgetting about it. But has others have said don't burn yourself out on doing cw approvals or denials as it seems like a tedious job

Hahaha! I was not volunteering myself as I don't have enough skill for that but I know there are lots of very talented users out there that draw gorgeous CWs and may want to be part of putting items through by volunteering, maybe. 😉 Thank you for reading my post and taking the time to answer!! 💋
