They brushed across me and I clicked the stop button. They both had there hands on their knees their breath heavy. They both had been running with all their might to see who would be faster. They were both on the track team and I was their best friend. I was the one who had to time them. I was on the track team as well, just as fast maybe faster but I was a girl so they didn't want to race with me. I think their real reason for it was because they know I could beat them. Finally their breath evened out and they walked over to me. They had been neck and neck up till the end but he had won, he always did. His name was Chris and he was the fastest boy on our track team. The guy beside him my other best friend was Mark he always came in only a step behind. I felt bad about having to tell Mark he lost again he had been so sure he was going to win this time. He had broken his highest time but it was still a step to late. Finally I broke the news to them both and Mark's smile faultered and he lowered his head. Chris just smiled that cocky smile of his and that's when I did it, I challenged him to a race for the first time since we had known each other. We had both been in track together for five years he on the boys team and me on the girls. We both challenged each other to run faster every time always silently by the looks we shared. Now however was the first time I would go against him myself. He looked surprised but this was the first time I had ever been against him. Mark looked surprised as well as I walked off the side on to the track. I smiled brightly and threw the stop watch to him looking at Chris to see if he would accept. He got that look in his eyes like every time we told each other to run faster. However, this time it was telling me he wanted to win. They were my best friends so I knew Mark didn't totally mind loosing and I wouldn't either because I would know I just had to run faster. Mark rose his arm up and shot it down and Chris and I ran. My breath became labored but I didn't care. I already kenw I would break my record racing against Chris he excited me. He was just as fast and like with Mark we were neck and neck. However, I already knew I was better at the turns. I was even on the outside and I sped up gaining the lead. I couldn't let that distract me though he was faster on the straights. He was starting to gain on me but I couldn't let him win, I just couldn't. There was Mark only a few inches away and it felt like miles. Within an instant I ran past him just as fast laying down on the ground my breath labored sweat rolling down my face. A shadow howered over my face and I looked into a pair of brunnette eyes, chris. I guess I didn't win he had that cocky smile still on his lips. I let off a sigh even at my best I couldn't beat him. However, Mark walked over with a large smile on his lips. I thought he would have been sad that I lost. However Mark spoke, telling me I won. Chris helped me up from my spot on the ground hugging me tightly telling me how much fun the race was and it was fun for me as well. Mark cheers agreeing to treat us both to ice cream. We all walk hand in hand awat from the track our races ad troubles left behind us.
First redo did a drawing of the stopwatch

I had two questions ToT
Is this open to everyone or only members of TCC?
If this is open to everyone and I'm allowed to join, can I participate even if I don't want to win prizes?? I just really like art challenges and stuff.
Open for everyone! Feel free to invite all your friends to join too ^^
Yes! We will still track your raffle tickets since those track your participation but we can exclude you from the final raffle/other weekly prizes if you would not like to receive any. ^^
Disclaimer: I am not a great artist. ^^; But I try my best. I hope I did everything right! :) Thank you for the challenge.
So this art is from the early 2000's....I had made a card deck with different cat breeds, this is one of those cards.
Old Siamese
I decided to draw a new cat in the same style. This time I used oil pastels for the drawing, my first time using those.
I present....Cosmic Cat
And then I decided to make a little poem about Cosmic Cat....
Cosmic Cat
All cats can be fancy,
All cats can be fun,
But have you heard of the Cosmic Cat?
I think they are the best one.
This cat wants you to have peace, And wants you to have pride, They want you to know about the greatest love, That it comes from the inside.
Background
Oh, I loved Pet Society SO much! Gotito was such a spoiled little kitty. My favourite outfit was this pirate one, so I did a draw of him wearing it, around the year 2009.
I did a little sketch of him ,nothing too fancy, but I wanted to participate. <3
RIP, Gotito. You are missed!

The original is from June of 2019. I wasn't happy with the original, even when I first drew it. So I felt it deserved a redo. (This is my character Kresten.)

and yes, I am a beary person...
redo as poem
just to clarify - engish is not my native language, so I find it way easier to write in German,
BUT i tried to translate so the meaning stays the same.
A lot of gifts are bought with cash yes there are a thousand in the christmas stash.
BUT there is ONE earthly gift that will make your future shift. No wrapping paper will be needed if you have this gift redeemed.
It is up to you alone to make this gift with you – at home it’s a gift you gift yourself you can’t pick it from a shelf.
This gift is a gift of action the name of this gift is satisfaction this gift will be a blast and this gift forever may last!

This is a reinterpretation of a super old drawing. His name is Rain and he has a strong duality complex. How you portray yourself to the world vs. how you feel inside. Something along those lines.

I mainly crochet now, but I made this beanie by loom knitting which is how I learned to work with yarn when I was younger. It’s still faster than knitting if I want to make something very simple with heavier yarn. I haven’t done it in forever, and it’s the first time I’ve used a pompom that I haven’t made myself. I plan on donating it to a handmade winter knits drive for homeless LGBTQ+ youth.
I have become rather lazy and spoiled being able to work from home in this pandemic. Hopefully I will reacclimate to physically going back to my job and working, because being at home has definitely been a comfort I’m grateful for. It’s amazing to lounge on my couch watching tv and crafting on a weekday once my actual work is done.
something wordy
There must be nothing more cozy and carefree
than to sit and work the yarn with my fingers
as the world goes on outside.
