With all the new CW news we've been getting lately, especially the news that CWs won't be included in the regular BF sale this year, what's everyone planning to do (assuming you're a CW releaser)? Obviously we can't know exactly what's coming in December...I'm hoping for revamped CW system, of course. XD But maybe it will be a separate sale for CW shops? What do you all think?

I was excited to release a few recolors during BF, but I suppose I'll wait with December so near. o_o What about everyone else?

If you you like buying CWs, are you planning save some CSC/wait until December to do all your shopping when we know more about whatever's coming with CWs?

I'm holding off (still) until the new system goes live, especially since the updates we've been getting from have given us the price points for a lot of it. I was planning to drop prices on older stuff in my shop and retire it after BF but since that sale isn't happening I'll be holding off to see what the CW/Pawn event in December is and see if it fits in there (and depending on the changes to CW Shops, maybe I won't feel the need to drop much at all - if we get a better backend that's easier to manage and categorize I may not need/want to remove more).

I have....so much to release but the upside to that is that it's going to be so much easier for me to get stuff on site and let it sit for folks based on what we've been told. I've got a few things that had stated limits that I'll stick to but I'm really hoping to be able to do a lot more unlimited/high limit releases if we get a better system in place (and also since it's not going to cost me a fortune to get stuff on-site anymore).

hey! well as I told you before, I was planning on putting the final batches of a couple CWs I still had lying around in my shop, as well as release a couple new colors for other existing cws AND come out with one entirely new cw, but I think I'll postpone all of that until december now :( do you still want me to let you know when I move my vanilla strands to my shop??

I plan on saving most of my CSC to spend in December. There are a few things I want in the Cash shop for Black Friday, but I'm eager to see what CW releases will happen in December.

I'm honestly not sure what I'll do. I was planning on bringing back some past releases from this year and then retiring them permanently after the sale was over. Not sure if I'll move that to December instead since I have no idea if there's actually going to be a sale then, or if it's just the cw system changes that are happening at that time. It honestly feels pointless to me to bring anything back without a sale since I feel like I won't really get any sales then :/ And I was really counting on the extra csc from cw sales during the BF sale to help pay for Delish items as well as other stuff that I have on my wl...

To be honest? I have no idea. The CW situation still feels so vague and up in the air I can't even begin to guess when exactly things are going to go down.

My tentative plan right now if to maybe do a couple weekend exclusive unlimited releases at discount slot pricing. Or a big pre-slot sale for when price changes DO go in.

I don't have anything finalized yet though. This time last year I already had black Friday and Lumi releases ready to go and I don't even have a real plan this time around.

To tell you the truth, I am still deciding and waiting to see what happens with CWs now. I love buying but I am not sure what it will look like yet. Releasing will be so different so I also want to see how that goes... ❤

I am trying to/wait(ing still) for the changes go through for the new CW system. I am saving my CSC to push stuff through (and to spend on new stuff too) once I see the new changes. I am on pins and needles... so looking forward for the changes to happen

- Honestly, I feel like an airplane trying to land but being told there are no available runways. I'm frustrated to not have a time table. I have things I would like to release for Lumi, but I want to submit them with the lower prices for other users and the lower prices for me, but I don't know if that's a realistic option right now. I really don't want to pay more than I have to, especially with the COVID financial situation we're in. But I also don't want to have to sit on these things until next Lumi - That would really suck. I'm excited about the changes, but I'm also angry. I feel like I'm being given breadcrumbs to keep stringing me along.

- I just wanted to let you know that I'm not frustrated with you. I think that you're doing the best that you can. I am incredibly thankful for the updates that you've been providing. It's helped me not completely give up entirely on Subeta. At the same time though, with everything going on in the world and my own personal life, it's just one more thing that there's no definitive time table for. We don't know when we'll have access to a vaccine, I don't know when I'll be able to do my job the right way again, I don't know when we'll be able to visit family, I don't know when my husband will find a job, and so on. There are so many unknowns right now, and to have the site I depend on for relaxation to also have an "I don't know" is just so demoralizing as a user. It's one more thing adding to my depression and anxiety instead of relieving it. I hope that makes sense and doesn't come across as any sort of attack or anything like that. I do believe that the new system will be great. It's just that some of us are in a really bad place, and this waiting game isn't helping.

hi buddy! Personally I think I'll be waiting for the price change and then possibly submit a smaller item on BF so that the price tag isn't too bad (we never have enough glasses AMIRITE)! It's obvious that everyone, buyer and releaser alike, is on a stand-by. (Though I'm still excited for BF in general, there's always new vanity sets and themed stuff!)

i'm super excited!!! bug and jessi have been working SO HARD. i am probably a moron but tbh i didnt even know that cw shops had a sale for BF lol i'm more excited to see the new vanity stuff and to buy some delish/vanity stuff that i havent bought yet if cw changes arent out yet by lumi, i might just sit on my lumi gift until after the new prices come out. super easy solution and i dont think anyone's gonna be annoyed getting a free item(s) a little bit after lumi : P to be honest, im not that worried about it. with the price changes and everything that jessi has talked about, i think that i'll be really excited to use the new system whenever it comes out and i wont really how long it takes to actually be released. i also think sooo many people are sitting on releases waiting for the new stuff, i'm stoked to see what other releases people have when the new system goes up. i know a lot of folks are bothered by the uncertainty of the timeline, but it's easier for me to focus on what we know is coming and being excited about that instead of bummed we dont have a release date yet.

Quick note: nothing I'm saying is 100% set in stone till we see the full system update.

I won't be doing anything CW related for Black Friday. I'm still holding out, but now with even more purpose. I've set aside csc I'm hoping to use for not only my own submissions, but to help support people's shops as we try to revive the market with the update. I've even got some IRL funds saved too should the need arise.

My personal plan is to stop limiting the majority of my items. Obviously items I've already set batches for prior, will be submitted with those limits, but anything that hasn't... I probably will not limit at all.

I'm also planning to stop retiring things. Before I felt this need to keep my shop super clean / encourage people to buy so I could keep submitting things with such high prices but now... I think that violent need to circle csc around in a funnel isn't going to be as harsh.

I'm currently deciding how I want to do profit margins. For now I think I'll need to wait to see the prices of things to determine x amount sold = money back.

Right now I'm just focusing on getting files ready, I've got 80+ items ready and roaring to go. I don't still want to be submitting 2020s shit in late 2021. So the faster I get these things on site, the better. Hopefully I don't stress queue staff out (hopefully we all don't tbh, some of the numbers I've seen from people.... lmao)

As for other stuff, I still have a bunch of events planned. I have a feeling my lumi event will have to pair with the welcome back event though because if I don't, I won't have time or funds at all x'D

((Also I took the "The plan for CWs is in December..." As a "This is the goal, but it's a soft goal, and sometimes shit happens. Fingers crossed it's smooth sailing for staff!!!!))

ALSO almost forgot. My plan when this new system comes into place is to make it a personal goal to let people know when I've supported them / when I like their items / when I'm keeping an eye out for recolors on their stuff / etc. I think it's a good positive interaction that would really help the community. I know I die of happiness when I get those types of comments myself.

i'll probably wait for december-or-later since there's no sale going on in CW shops (which completely makes sense with price changes coming and i totally support the decision!). i love to put stuff in for the black friday sale season, BUT i just feel like i can't justify charging folks the price for CWs atm, knowing that they'll be way cheaper. it just all around feels bad on a personal level to me, moreso now knowing that things like wigs will be half their price (which is exciting) (but ofc this has NOT stopped me from buying things oops). with all the spending that goes on in december though, and all the sales folks will be having, i'm thinking maybe i'll do a big newyear's-y thing instead? i like new years because its so glittery & i feel like we're all gonna be glad for it to be 2021 👀

I'm a little sad about it, but I can understand where they're coming from and why they're not doing it.

I've done a Lumi CW "For the Less Fortunate" giveaway the last couple years, and I'm not gonna lie.. the CWs in shops being on sale for Black Friday then REALLY helped. My CSC won't go nearly as far now. Thankfully I have a few CW vouchers saved up, so I can at least start with those! Admittedly though.. it makes me rethink starting it so early. I may wait and see if we get more concrete info and dates once December rolls around, you know?

As for my own.. I'm for sure not pushing any releases on site until the change happens. It just doesn't make sense to do it. Hopefully I can use the time to bank some things and have them ready to roll out though!

Not having to worry about trying to fill a batch is such a relief, honestly. I love the price info we've gotten so far and I know it's going to be really easy for me to handle getting my stuff on site (and there's a lot of it) in the future :)

as a buyer i'm going to have to try reeeeaallly hard not to blow all my csc during BF and try to keep some for whatever's planned for December (which will be really hard because there is still centuries of Delish/Vanity stuff i need lol XD) considering last year i had about 13csc left after spending all of the csc i'd saved throughout the year (coughthousandscough) on both cash shop items and CWs, and with price changes coming up possibly soon as well, i just wish i knew how much i should keep on hand for December >< all year i look forward to spending my hard-earned csc during BFS, but i might just have to have a frugal one this year, which will be sad for me, but hey, fomo! at least i know Delish will be there next year, but if i miss a really cool CW because i'm low on funds i'll really kick myself! looking forward to iiitttt!!!

Honestly not thrilled about it. I make a good amount of CSC from the sale that I put towards lumi gifts and this year that's not going to happen. Also sucks we didn't find out till November. Had I known sooner, I'd have not just assumed that I'd make enough from the BF sale to spoil my friends and would have set aside more from my yearly releases. sigh
