(and others) - I'd recommend making a feedback board if you want to discuss how CW vouchers work! I feel like that would be a better place for it, since it's outside the scope of what we're directly working on here :)

One change that has already been implemented over the past few weeks is doing the CW queue on a set schedule. I think this is helpful for -everyone- -- it helps prevent staff burnout and helps you guys know when you can expect to see an acceptance or denial!
Right now the queue days are Wednesday and Sunday. This doesn't mean things will absolutely never be looked at in between - sometimes when I have free time, I love to look through the queue and get items out! But it does mean you can go "Oh it's Tuesday, I better accept this today if I want feedback tomorrow!"
There isn't a specific TIME the queue gets done on those days, since it completely depends on what else is going on that day! So if you submit an item Sunday morning, it doesn't mean it will be looked at Sunday night; the queue may have been done at 7 AM that day. Also these dates may change due to outside circumstances - vacations (...haha not likely right now but), work things, emergencies, etc, but I'll always do my best to communicate with you all if there is a change!
And of course, when we approach the busy holiday season, I'll be doing more -- and I'll be sure to announce deadlines for you guys like I have in the past! (Ie: if you want this to be looked at by Lumineve get it submitted by a certain date).
I'm really excited about having things on a schedule, and I'm kind of wondering why I never did this before, so that is 100% on me. But I think it's a change you all will like!
I personally don't mind you pinging the hell out of the group. I want all the updates you're happy to give. Lmao.
Looking forward to seeing how this schedule works for the queue. I think it might be beneficial, especially for people just entering CWs if they have a clue of what days they might expect responses. :)

exactly! This isn't a set in stone "It will be this way forever and ever and never change" thing! It is definitely needed right now because my main job is so busy (vet clinics are one of the businesses doing more work rather than less right now =_=) so it helps make sure things always get done in a timely manner!
I honestly have NO idea, and I don't want to speculate and end up being wrong! We'll of course let you know if something is in the works!

What about a status bar of some type maybe to communicate those rare blips in the schedule? It could go up at the top on the submission page and would just show whether you're currently working on the queue or not, and if not, when the next scheduled review session will be/the reason for any straying from the normal schedule. Does that make sense?
I guess I imagine it sort of like a lil staff chibi doing work/saying with a speech bubble whatever status/message you want us to see or an "out of office until this date/time" graphic

- I'm not sure about the idea of an active status bar (I don't want people to know EXACTLY when I might be working!) but I can always have a stickied thread here with a rough monthly online? I generally know my schedule well enoughish that I can say "This week I will be doing Saturday versus Sunday" several weeks ahead of time. So that might be a good compromise?
Late to reply, but I also support all the pings! We love being kept in the loop. ^___^ Also, if the scheduled queue time is helpful for you, I'm all for it. I personally don't mind waiting a few days if needed (unless I'm procrastinating on holiday submissions LOL, in which case waiting makes me sweat! XD), and I'd much rather you be able to have a healthy work-life balance regardless. I think Wednesday and Sunday queue processing sounds great, really!
