I just want to clarify something, those are the Subeta cuts/cost? So if the releasers want to make their usual 100-200csc profit on things the cost will increase to that amount? (i.e. Wigs will be commonly seen now for 450-550 instead of 600-700csc like it is now?)
Trying to wrap my head around some of the more specifics still, but this is all great news regardless. c:

Those are the base prices. So it's the money that essentially goes to Subeta. Anything above that is profit for the seller (we don't control market prices!)
I can guarantee that that will absolutely never, ever happen. There is no way I (or anyone else) are going to manually go through the thousands of CWs on site to do this. So I'm just gonna stick a hard No in that right now, haha.

(or anyone else that knows!) seriously though (and yeah it's a random ot question soz!), but what if we do come across something that quite clearly belongs in a different category/layer (say i find a dress in the background layer...and yes i have stumbled across a few doozies!). is there someone to ping/a page/forum thread i can use to notify someone so they might be able to switch individual items over as we might come across them? (hopefully not so daunting as trawling through the whole lot)

No. We are going to have so much going on with the relaunch, and a lot of categories will NOT be moving over directly due to them being simplified. This is not something I will honestly have the time to deal with, at least for quite a while, and we are a skeleton crew with no one to spare for this. It's just something we'll have to continue to live with for now.
that's ok, i totally understand ❤ i wish we the users could do more to ease your workload, i think that was more my sentiment :) if i spot anything in the wardrobe that seems to be in the wrong layer i'll keep a personal note of it so that if in the future you guys open up some kind of submission/notification system i can hopefully help out then!

That will definitely be helpful. Some day in the future we'll hopefully have an easy way to move the layers items are on! Then that will be a project I can look at tackling :)

There was supposed to be a lower price category for limb recolors to match additional skin tones, has that been figured out or set yet?
this is something we hope to have ready in the future but will not be available at launch. It is requiring some brand new coding, and we don't want to risk delaying things possibly for months just for this one feature. It is still definitely in the works!
I am so so so excited for the new pricing scheme here and I'm loving the example you gave for how it's going to be really showing us what kinds of stuff sits in those categories. Thank y'all so very much for all the hard work you're all doing to get this new system up and running.
((also I love that we can just click a button to add that something has unique limbs and make it easier to sort out))
Amber and Ariel were handling wrong layer tickets for awhile but I've had one open on an item for quite awhile without it getting a response or being closed so I think everyone is just stretched way too thin at the moment for trying to shift that stuff around. I love your idea of keeping a list though so I too will try to do that when I catch stuff listed in a funky layer.
Hello, ! We have a very big announcement today - the announcement you've all been waiting for.
Before we get to into details, however, I want to make a few things very clear:
- This is a soft date range only. It is subject to change, based off of coding, writing, plotting and planning, and of course real life (including a holiday in the middle of a pandemic, haha).
- If we do not think we'll make this timeline, we will do our best to keep you informed.
- We will not tolerate staff harassment regarding: demanding a specific date, asking to narrow a date down before we are ready to do so, or being rude or accusatory towards staff if the timeline is delayed. We know you will all be sad if there are delays -- we will be too. We want this out ASAP just like you do, and are working so hard to make this happen. We're not saying you can't express disappointment if things get delayed - just be kind and remember we are people like you.
When the update is ready to go, we will be taking down CWs for approximately 24 hours. The rest of the website will stay up; only CW related pages will be taken down while we prep the data for the new system. The process should not take the full 24 hours, but it is hard to say until we do it, so we'll appreciate your patience! Please note that we may only be able to announce this 2-3 days in advance, but it will be announced in an official news post, not just in this thread :)
With all that said, I may not be giving too many more detailed updates between now and release, because we are going to be busy working so hard on things! I hope everyone is excited for the neat things on the way!

This is a really exciting update and I hope things go well and you're able to launch as planned, but if not I will be patiently waiting for when it is ready and able to launch. I've waited awhile now and I have no problem waiting as long as you guys need. Please make sure to take care of yourselves as well!)
