Took my mom to Kentucky (4 hour drive away) to see one of my brothers who we've not seen in a year and she's not gotten to hug in more than that. :)
Did not take my mom's laptop (what was I thinking) so little contact with the internets. I've not yet mastered using my phone for stuff and I find subeta difficult on it. Ended up leaving later than wanted to yesterday and had a small traffic jam (according to the truck drivers on the CB radio, a car ended up down the median and a flatbed had to tow them out) which made the trip a bit longer. Super tired but slept pretty well (for me) last night.

Well I'm here. haha.

Doing things slowly but for the most part able to function normal. Spent the whole after surgery/weekend mostly sleeping. Hopefully, that helped my body jump start healing and doing so quickly.

Unfortunately, they...had an "accident' during the surgery so not everything got done...not sure how I feel about that, but I'm trying to not focus on that and just the rest was a success and I made it through.

The breathing tube made my throat a mess, will have to see if I have my voice back yet. :/

Oh i have been mia... sorry all. Work is keeping me very busy, i hope it will get better soon. I am more at work then home. Our lockdown is coming down slowly and things are opening up slowly. It's weird doing stuff more after being home loads for more then a year.

Mini rant - chore/success/things done. Spent 12 hours yesterday online straightening out windows since I didn't know the last two updates had failed. So, I first checked out my antivirus and they asked me to uninstall and then reinstall a newer version, next I checked my VPN and they asked me to uninstall then reinstall. Next, knowing security was the issue, I first checked with Windows to see how they felt about my VPN. Turns out they liked it and all I had to do was add it to the windows firewall. OK, next I spent a considerable amount of time trying to get windows to update - then I got smart finally - went to the windows site and using the windows 10 update assistant to get and install the updates. Was very slow going and I was on the edge of my seat. But it took and now windows is finally happy and so am I. During all this I finally received the two Christmas cacti I had ordered - 1 red and 1 yellow. And finally a long time coming major miracle - 3 years ago I had ordered a chair that I just couldn't find anyone to put together. Feed up the other day I put it in the hallway knowing it was too big for me I decided to give it away. Wednesdays and Fridays an Italian deli has pan fried Haddock and I love it - grew up on it. So, there are two guys both named John that deliver to me and they are great guys. Last Friday when my sandwich was delivered John saw the chair in the hallway and I told him the story and said he could take it, PLEASE. He took it and put it together and gave it to his nephew in college. So he said when I do get a chair to call him and he gave me his number as he would assemble it for me. Turns out he used to work for Staples as an assembler for 12 years! So I did order the perfect chair and got it two days later, told John and he came yesterday and did the job. Now I'm just waiting for my fish sandwich!

What a pita! But I'm glad everything worked out well! :) Hi! It is weird. I imagine people going outside and blinking because the sun's too bright and they aren't used to it. Of course, I do that everyday. lol Glad you are on the mend, but worried about the 'accident'. That is never a good thing to hear, esp regarding your surgery! I hope it is or will be ok... Sending hugs. Glad you and your mother got to see your brother, and glad you made it home safe.
