I'm leaving subeta! Wanted to bring people together and share some fond memories of the site before I head out, while giving my stuff to people who will enjoy it more. Join for my other leaving giveaways.

Backstory:
I have been on this site nearly a decade. Growing up on subeta has helped me develop everything from a sense of style (thank you, 10K+ wardrobe items), to literary translation opinions, to job search skills. I'm leaving because some of the passions I honed here have become exciting irl projects that I want to focus on now.
In my time here, I've accumulated a lot of stuff that I'd like to share with the community (and a new era of players). I still remember when I got my first 5mil+ item (Rainyday Solar Flare Kimono) via a forum giveaway. I hope these items will help you on your own subeta journey by dressing your HA's, feeding your pets, or growing your wealth.
thanks so much! subeta helped introduce me to some people i'm now very good friends with. i met on here and shes one of my besties now :)
items, in order:
I know you said to list 10, but I only did 5. I hope that is okay.

Really just one? That is hard with some of the amazing people I have met on here! I guess this one will sum that all up. Way back around 2012 or so I took almost two years off from Subeta. I came back to to a handful of people that would still leave me smails through that time off. You would expect a few here and there asking where I was for a month or two, but some never gave up on me! I know it sounds mushy, but it really made me feel good to know that even after almost two years off some people were still leaving me smails every now and then. Their kind words and things they wrote made me know some of these people would be my friends to the end and guess what.....yep those poor souls are still dealing with me! <3
It makes me sad to see people leave. :(
I have to edit to add one more, sorry. LoL I was having a bad day( nothing to do with Subeta btw) and wrote in my status: Somewhere a village is missing its idiot. The next thing I know I see one of my friends had changed his status to: Has anyone seen my village? I lost it! For some reason that was the funniest thing to me and needless to say I wasn't having a bad day after that! Maybe it is just one of those things you have to be there for it to be funny, but years later I still laugh when I think of it. It is amazing how one person or one little thing can change your day! <3
Part Two Unfortunately, I actually haven't been on Subeta for long. Most of the time my account has existed, I've just been on hiatus. So uh... Anyways, I actually saw[and am now friends with] . The cool thing is that we actually already know each other from.. i think 2 other sites. So that's cool, and maybe somewhat coincidental.
Also, the Subeta community seems cool. I haven't really... Talked to many people, but everyone seems really nice! I try to be nice to everyone else too.
Um, so for you leaving.. I don't really know you, but... Um Good luck, I guess.

Thank you for sharing! Sometimes these small moments are what really stick with you and make up the idea of a place c:
I remember you from the HA forums! Cool to see you getting started on another HA
Here are my ten items from most wanted to least:
Part 2: A memory...
Well, I originally started Subeta in 2006 under the username of Aerynna. My very first friend here, who I met in the SB of all places, was named PineApples. I came to find out her real name was Mardi and that she was from very far away from me at the time I joined! I'm from the USA and she was from New Zealand if I recall correctly (it could be Australia just as well, but I digress) - over the years, as time went by and as things happened, we became very good friends. I used to work night shifts so she and I would have talks via smails on here and through Facebook when it really took off! She was such an amazing person and I miss her every night when I'm up working on things (as I am currently not employed). Unfortunately, she passed away a few years ago and she is missed by many of us on here. She was kind and sweet and did not know a stranger at all. She was such a good friend and such a golden hearted person with a good soul as well.
Subeta also introduced me to a few of my closest friends - namely , , , , and quite a few more. The Shoutbox is still a place I hang out and peek into and talk in once in a while, and I remember you being in there quite often as well.
I wish you peace, love, and light out there in the real world as you leave the Subeta world. Please take good care of yourself, Solaris.

I haven't really had any specific experiences so I'll instead say that I'm grateful for the stuff I've gotten from other users.
i too have been here for a million years. i took a really long hiatus and i miss subeta's heydays back in like 2014. one fond memory is participating in one of the plots and being randomly assigned a team on the forums to compete with in trivia and puzzle games. it was so much fun, and i wish stuff like that happened still. it made me some really solid friends at the time and it made logging in every day much more exciting.
recently i kinda came back just to keep tinkering with my HA, but I've been trying really hard to get more involved. it's been rewarding to see subeta grow with me, and to see how it has evolved and changed for (i think) the better.

also, this is an aside, but your HA reminds me of Jonathan Livingston seagull for some reason and all i can think about is being forced to read that in high school and hating every moment of it lmao

thank you for sharing with us before you go and also for giving us a chance to share our stories!
one of my most memorable experiences here happened when i had just joined the website 3 years ago! i was just starting out and after introducing myself in the newbie forums i was so surprised at the warmth of everyone! not long after that post i received not only friendly replies in the thread but also lots of welcoming gifts through the gift center from veteran players, some anonymous, some not, but each giftbox i received came with a little note to help me get acquainted with the game, like: "have some books - you read them to your pet so they gain intelligence points" and "welcome to subeta! if you have any questions just ask me!". they were super sweet and thoughtful :')
my very first cash shop item: came from a super kind gifter who just wanted to make sure that a lil newbie like me would have a good time. i stashed this little beanie in my vault that day and have kept it ever since hehe. i recently moved it to a gallery so that it can be better appreciated
these welcoming gestures were enough to convince me to stick around and eventually inspired me to pay it forward by sending anonymous gifts around here every now and then when i can. it just makes the site experience that much sweeter for everyone
thanks for giving back, contributing to some of our journeys, and thank you for reading :>
I'd be happy to share an experience to keep the good vibes going! Thanks for doing this. :) Be well and take care of yourself out there!
I guess one of the most positive experiences I have had on Subeta is making so many wonderful friends. No matter how many times I tried to leave this place, (5x) I came back and they were always there to welcome me and make me feel loved. It's really hard to just say goodbye. Might have my ups and downs with this site but good people make it worth sticking around!

Don't wish to ask for any items myself, thanks. :)
Thank you for doing this! These are in order.
Memory: One of my favorite memories is realizing that and I lived in the same town. We actually would play PoGo together, and go to each others houses for dinner. I just moved, but we're still good friends!

a memory: getting my husband into subeta! on both of our profiles they actually say we were both younger than we are now, so apparently i got him into it a year into our relationship. i sent him so many candy hearts and all the expensive gifts i could afford and he'd send me all the heart shaped things he could afford with what little money he had. we were long distance at the time and both unemployed, so it was a way for us to exchange gifts and open present boxes without breaking our bank accounts or waiting for shipping. we got married in november of 2019 and i just bought us a subscription to share to make our return to the site!

I met my now husband on subeta 9 years ago, we now have 2 kids together and are married. We met when I offered to stick some stickers to him and we got talking from there and never stopped. He then moved from London to be with me in Lincoln (UK) so subeta will forever hold a special place in my ❤ . My kids wouldn’t be here without it xx

I was able to reunite with my long lost best friend, after she disappeared 18 years ago. Granted she didn't know that her boys had recognized, a photo of the two if us on my profile. Her story was so sad, her mother was very strict back then. Unless she was with me out somewhere or at my house, besides school of course. My bff had told me she had enough of her mom, but before leaving we hung out for my birthday. That night, her mom had come clean. In real she was het aunt. Her real mom ran away anf eloped with her husband, i was shocked.
i ended gaining my bff back and her boys are bestfriends with my son. And guardians of my 11 year old daughter, who they see as their little sister too.
Besides coming out of my shell and talking to strangers from all around the world, should who have different beliefs and nationalities. I feel more at home here than actual home. Subeta, I could never see myself leaving, it's like i belong here.
.. we will miss you.
Memorable experience includes making 2 really good friends through this site not long after joining 12-13 or so years ago. One (G) was local to me and we met up for coffee. We were both adult Subeta players but G was early 20s, I was about 40. We stayed friends, going out, spending New Years together, her 22nd birthday in the city. When I went to move overseas, her mum took my cat Holly who I'd had since birth. She kept her spoilt all these years until a couple of weeks ago, Holly passed away in her sleep at age 19. She had a good life, thanks to Subeta.
Goodness I'm all emotional now sniffs

I think one of the most memorable experiences I had was when I saw someone in the forums who stated in their signature that they were looking for specific CWs. I searched them in shop search and saw that one of them was in shops. All I did was send that person a comment saying that the item was purchasable. They were super thankful saying they had been looking for the item for years and years. They sent me a gift box with WL items which even included one of my first CWs ever. I was so shocked about how they expressed their gratitude for nothing more than a simple message. That made me question my own behaviour. Especially when it comes to being generous. Being raised in a very individualistic society and by rather stingy parents, I guess I thought it would make me happiest to save and spend money for myself but using subeta as a trial run, I learned that it made me more happy to make someone else happy. Back then, I was just a teenager, maybe fifteen or something like that, so I can really relate to you saying you grew up on subeta. I would even go as far as to say that I was partially raised by the site and the community. I learned a lot of valuable life lessons here which I am truly thankful for.

Hi there! Thanks for the giveaway and it's sad to hear that you are leaving Subeta! :(
I was introduced to Subeta three years ago from friends from another pet site, and I'm very glad I joined the community as I have met a lot of beloved people like (ilysm <3 <3) I remember during the first few days, I posted in the welcome and introduction forum and reached out to me and invited me to her friend's forum group, and I've met a lot more lovely people there :) Also this place rarely has drama, unlike the other pet sites I've played...
These items are no in particular preference. from SHop 1 please! :)
thanks for the giveaway ❤ it's exciting to hear that subeta has sparked rl projects for you! having spent the last couple of decades on pet sites myself, and now working on setting up on online business (well, helping to), i feel like the knowledge i've gained, like coding (even though it's at quite a basic level rn) is inspiring me to take those skills further irl, so high fives go you!

i can't really pick out a specific event, but probably the most meaningful times for me have been when i get a random comment from another user who either has wanted to say hi because of a common interest, or just to say they like my HA. it really makes my day :)
