Mischief smiled as he tore into the wrapping and saw the new beanbag. "Perfect!" the Kumos declared as he settled himself on the book shaped comfort with a contented sigh. He was daydreaming about what to ask for next from the wonderful gifting fairy when the sound of scampering feet made Mischief groan.

Sure enough Biscuit burst into the room, as energetic as ever. He stopped and cocked his head at the sight of the beanbag. "Isn't that new?" the young pup asked.

"Yes it is," Mischief answered. "It's from a special person who has been making wishes come true. We can ask for one thing each day and I'm trying to think about what I might like next."

"Treats!!" the Ruffie declared without hesitation.

Mischief rolled his eyes. "There's more to life than treats," he said. "There's books for knowledge and fun, weapons for battling, and plushies and beanbags for snuggling."

Biscuit scratched his ear, once again knocking his halo loose. "I suppose," he said, picking up the halo in his mouth. With a well practiced flip of his head, he returned the item to its place above him, though with or without the golden symbolic ring, all who knew him knew with Biscuit the halo was merely for show as the puppy was prone to trouble.

"Well since it's my wish, I think there's more to consider," Mischief declared. "Run along and play and let me make my wish. Maybe tomorrow I'll see if you can take a turn."

"'kay," Biscuit agreed and bounded off to play with his friends before bedtime.

Shaking his head, Mischief gazed out at the night sky and a smile formed as he glimpsed a comet shining outside the large bay window. "Ah ha...I know what to wish for tonight!" He hurriedly wrote a little note... May I please have for today? Thank you!
