Ok, it'd be the same answer anyway.

He's 2 months old. :D And sassy and full of energy!
Last month I bought a domestic compost bin (and some worms to go inside) and now I'm enjoying the possibility of turning the leftovers from my kitchen into the best organic fertilizer!!
It's super fun to run around looking for things that glow in UV. I actually just discovered that pesto and olive oil fluoresce a brilliant red (I guess it's the chlorophyll). I've also found hidden manufacturing codes printed on products in UV ink and even stuff scribbled on my walls in invisible crayon by previous inhabitants, which is moderately creepy lol. My main interest with it is fluorescent mineral hunting and this flashlight will be great for that. My first lamp got destroyed because it was in my backpack when I got caught in a flash flood in the desert so I've been afraid to take its spendy replacement out again. But this flashlight was only like $15. Scorpions also glow, by the way, so that's helpful for finding/avoiding them in the desert!
How have you never tried pumpkin pie? Is it not a thing over there? It's not my favorite food in the world but I still can't imagine going through October without a slice. sweet potato pie is actually better though
I did! Wrote some information about my story characters.
Today's question:
My personal answer:
That is a really interesting question! To be quite frank, I don't really watch the Olympics but if I were to pick a category which I would most likely enjoy, it's probably figure skating. The choreographies are just so beautiful! 😍

Firstly, wait what happened to your last one? I need a little bit more details on that story ó.ò
And that so many things glow is really interesting! Why do scorpions glow and was that knowledge you acquired through desk or field research?
Duuuuude! If I found that I would have been out of the door in a jiffy....
Yeah no, I haven't had sweet potato pie either. I guess to me it seems sorta weird to put vegetables in cake. Not fond of carrot cake either but that's more common here. Aside from Apple pie, I don't really think those typical pies with a lot of "wet" filling are really a thing here. People put a lot of fruit on their cakes but cakes here are... Cakes not pies. Just Google "German cakes" which will show you a vast variety of different cakes like bee sting, black forest Cake, apple cakes, marble cakes, tree cakes etc. but when I googled German pies I only found chocolate pie (never heard of that and tbh it doesn't really look appetising either) and something Quiche-like. My favourite cakes are strawberry cakes, (not cheesecake style, just Google German strawberry cake and take a look at the simple ones with whole strawberries) mole cake, Linzer cake (Austrian) and streusel (didn't know that word was actually also used in the English language) sheet cakes.

My heart just exposed a little <3 how adorable!!!

How cool! What kinda story is it that you are writing if I may ask?
For cubriqui
That sounds really interesting! Do you have a lot of plants? And do you know how long the process of composition actually takes before you have decent fertilizer? Oh and welcome to the group! I'm glad you joined in! :)

Welcome and thanks for joining in :)
That invention sounds awesome! I have no idea how that's supposed to work but I would totally buy it! I hat mopping so that would probably be really convenient but I truly wonder how this actually works... Were you satisfied with the outcome after the few times that you actually used it? :)

Hahah every gift you give is ultimately a gift to yourself anyways so you might as well take it a little further ;)
Which Barbie set did you get her? :)

How cool! Is it a kayak for one or two people? And do you have some nice places in your are to put it to good use? I don't know where you live, but if I lived in Canada or someplace nice, a kayak would probably be the best gift ever! And have you guys been kayaking before or was it meant as a gift to start something new? :)

I'm not really into sports.
Minty
It's supposed to be kind of a dark fantasy story. I still haven't started the writing process though!
Inapplicable, I follow no sport.
[Edit] Scratch that, I liked Ice Climbing from the Winter X- Games. Can't do that fast.
None really... Well if it's Hockey and Canada is doing well I'd root for them but other then that... I don't care for the Olympics, outside the opening ceremonies.
Minty
I need to get some pictures up to show everyone! I've just been so swamped....
We live in MN, the land of 10,000 lakes. Plenty of places to put a kayak in. His is a single seated kayak, I'll probably get one next year. We plan to take them over to the MN/WI state line as it is a beautiful area to paddle around. Also, it is a brand-new hobby but something that he has always been interested in trying.
Favorite Olympic sport would be downhill skiing.

Yessss I got into gardening a few months ago and now I just love bringing new plants home! I'm trying to grow tomatoes and beans too, first time. As for the time it takes to have the fertilizer, they say the system starts producing after the first month, but I guess you would have to wait another more to have enough.
oh and I loved the idea of the group, sounds fun ^^
I guess the only one I actually enjoy watching is Figure Skating. It's just..... so beautiful. I wanted to know how to do that.
Figure skating 100% I had zero interest in it until I saw Yuri!!! On Ice and it ruined me lol. I watched the Winter Olympics that year and loved seeing the skaters.
[tot=Missriah]
figure skating is my favorite. also curling because it's fucking hilarious to see grown men screaming while they hurl a giant hunk of metal down the ice rink.

It just got soaked (and probably pretty banged up) and stopped working. My ex and I were out exploring in the high desert of Central Oregon on an ATV when a huge summer thunderstorm rolled through. When it rains that much in the desert, the ground can't soak up the water fast enough and suddenly all the trails and dry creek beds end up overflowing with rushing water and mudflows. We were pretty far from camp and scrambled to get back but it was tough to get the quad through some spots because they were just completely flooded and we were thoroughly drenched and covered in mud (along with everything we were carrying). You might think "oh it's just rain" but those desert thunderstorms are crazy...it was one of our most intense adventures and we've had a few lol
Unfortunately, I didn't discover that scorpions glow on my own, that's just something I learned online. I've only found one scorpion in the wild and it was under our tent when we packed it up (don't worry, it wasn't crushed). I didn't know they glowed at the time so it didn't occur to me to shine my light on it. Last time I went camping in Oregon I took my UV lamp and went hunting at night but I didn't find any scorpions or cool rocks, just some neon plastic BBs.
See, you should get a UV light and check. Who knows what creepy messages are hidden on your walls. Not seeing them doesn't mean they aren't there. Better check. Maybe they're warnings. :P
Lol carrot cake is my favorite cake. I'm not really big on sweets anyway and I tend to prefer the ones made with veggies and spice (also includes pumpkin and zucchini bread) over chocolate or overly-sugared fruit. I guess apple pie is my favorite pie though, although the ones my grandma made with tart apples from her own yard were the best and nothing else really compares. I really don't care for any sort of pie or pastry with a pudding or cream filling at all.
I love the winter sports and also gymnastics. To be honest, I haven’t been a big watcher of the Olympics in the past, but I respect anyone who dedicates themselves to a craft like that so much. I’ll watch any of it.

Today's question:
My personal answer:
Right now, probably Joaquin Phoenix. I have the utmost respect for him for his craft, his views and his activism.
And I guess all celebrities which are environmental activists like Leonardo DiCaprio, David Attanborough, Woody Harrelson, James Cameron, etc.
Will answer you lovely people tomorrow. It's past 2 am here and I'm just super tired.
