Duane i will help you with your turkey and crossstitch images..I use imgur it is made very user friendly like of which I need. Your crossstich needlepointing is perfect of course. I havent the patience for the detailed work that takes . You also make puzzles look easy as well.

Sydney that is cool to show some men doing nice relaxing things like that..BUT i coudnt relax doing crossstitch atall. Kinda like on dancing with the stars when a big ole footballer learns the rumba :)

We got our Christmas tree today..I had akleady made three swags from the trimmings in our front yard bushes, Once that goes up the gifts can be officially wrapped and shoved under..gets them outta the closet :).

I think its cool for guys to pick up this kind of hobby, shows their creativity and patience. I never had the patience for cross stitch or embroidery. Although tons of patience for crocheting.

i love to emcoider and did creweling in the past..i woeuld draw a picture on mulin and then use all different threads ysrnd emfoidery floee to make different textures to fill out the inage...THAT was fun~

I hope everybody in the world of the United States had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I certainly did, all my children arrived here at Healer's Hall the day before and I was able to find rooms for all of them (noooo...not out on the sick-wards!!! We have several very nice apartments and cubicles for staff and apprentices that are empty this time of year!! LOL!).

We participated in the community feast down at the Burrow Inn but hiked back to Healer's Hall late in the evening by full moon so that we could sleep in our beds at home and not on the floor at the Inn. On Friday, Weldon made a breakfast of orange sweet rolls, breakfast sausages, egg scramble, and potato pancakes with cinnamon applesauce and sour cream.

Lunch consisted of fresh turkey sandwiches on sourdough with cranberry relish, bread and butter pickles, and stuffed celery on the side. He managed to get he paws on eight leftover pumpkin pies from the Burrow Inn and that was dessert. Dinner was a simple affair of roasted red pepper and butternut squash soup and toast. The dessert was his famous pecan pie and mince pie.

How on earth he managed to find the time to do all this cooking, I shall never know, though I suspect that he employed the squad of new pilots he is currently training and commandeered Mr Lungwort's kitchen.

It still hasn't snowed much in the foothills, we got a smattering a couple of weeks ago, but it didn't stick. The big Creek Fire is still burning, though it is now 96% contained. The interior still burns and smolders and air quality is still very unhealthy. Pray that rains and snows come soon so that the fires will finally be extinguished. It's been nearly three months now on this particular fire. (380,000 acres or 600 sq miles!)

It's only three weeks until Christmastide! I must prepare my gifts earlier than last year! Are the LairBears doing a secret santa this year? How does that work? We did it one year where we sent a actual gift to the actual person at their actual address in their home world. That would be fun to try again....just thinking out loud.

Anyway...back to work. We had a lot of "sports" injuries over the weekend. The younger animals have taken gridiron football to heart now and for a third year in a row they have had a championship game on Thanksgiving Day...WITHOUT HELMETS OR PADS! sheesh! What's a healer to do?

You make me so jealous to be able to do that. I did learn a new crochet stitch called C2C, I loved learning it. I just watch a video on youtube. holding out a empty plate Turkey sandwich please it sounds so yummy!

yeahhh it is good to have some goals here..as long as they aren't overwhelming...glad you may be turning a corner even if is eversoslight..into thinking about your self again..you have had a hard 2020 my friend.

needleworm was fun and beautiful but it isnt as "mindless" if you will as crocheting..that is a challenge as well learning new stitches.. i will look up the c2c..it takes awhile and some errors to learn a new one. wouldn't it be fun to have saved a crochet patch of practice so we can see all our errors and learning curves hahaha

mmmi heard sandwiches and ran to the kitchen as my stomach growled it weants food not more coffee :)..i needto back now and read about how these sandwiches all came about!!!

It was great to Cie here and know that she is OK. I do diamond painting and tapestry. Think I will see if I can find a cross stitch I like for my leftover diamonds. Not sure about a Xmas tree this year think Joey would have a wonderful time with it. Have to find a barrier to put around it.
