I'm doing OK. The weather took a sudden turn from hot and dry to cold. We got our first snow and rain over the weekend and the air cleared up considerably from all the smoke. We're simply doing everything in our power to maintain our routine and prepare for the holiday season. Thanksgiving will just be Weldon, Aya, Robin and me. The other children are still in school or busy with their careers. My very elderly parents are up visiting my elderly older brothers and sisters (snicker) in the mountains and I can't leave because I am in charge of Healer's Hall, it's our busy season. So, really no big news, just routine.

I haven't been on Subeta much the last several weeks, lurking from time to time, I was on every day during Morostide to coach Madison as she battled the seasonal combatants. I was also involved in helping my Author with his drawings of "little-m'e and my little friend Bretton during the entire month of October. You can see his drawings on facebook by looking him up (Mark Keehnel). I tried to post them on Subeta, but he made the images too big for this forum. (There's also a little video on Youtube at SparkyWheezle)

I normally participate in NaNoWriMo during the month of November, as I have done for the last 12 years, but this year I decided to edit my manuscripts instead of simply writing more for the sake of writing ...um...more! It feels strange to NOT write during November. But I have 4 manuscripts of over 2.5 million words that I need to get prepared for submission to prospective agents and editors. I really want to get published.

I love Subeta, but there have been a lot of changes and I have felt left behind. I cannot explain it, but some of the appeal of Subeta has wained for me. I love the Lair Bears and this particular forum, it's my home. I have no complaint about this forum or any of the bears. But it seems that some of the luster has worn off in places that I used to find fascinating and compelling, where I would spend hours. The Battle Dome for instance. Madison is a level 12 combatant, but she has hit a plateau and has become bored and restless at times. The wardrobe is crappy. The economy of Subeta seems broken.

I really did most of my participation on Subeta when there was a really good and compelling role-playing forum to be involved in. The Midnight Lamp was my first role-playing adventure and I loved it (my fist book was inspired by much of that role-play). The Wayward Squirrel would have me writing and puzzle-solving for hours, day after day. Maybe if some of that came back I would be more involved.

Anyway, I'm simply musing. I'm not going anywhere. I may not be on every day, but I'm not going away and I don't have an agenda. I have ADHD (super bad...on LOTS of medication...under the care of a real psychiatrist....they have them for little weasel-girls now....) and I'm working running Healer's Hall, managing a family, putting up with a super smart husband who goes out of his way to be more supportive and more humble then me...and he's proud of it! So, it may be a while between chats. But don't worry. If you need to get in touch, you can bug my Author. You know how to reach him. (bcsam does at least.) Have a great day and thanks for asking.

I tried to recreate the pixel art! I want to try and see if I can make his page interactable! Like you click a button and there's a feeding animation. I'll have to experiment with some coding! So far I made his head bounce, check out his page!

That's so strange that it went all wonky! I can see the css has gotten some chunks taken out of it. But everything is still there! Maybe Subeta updated their coding which messed it up?

I think I might have figured it out. Your image host is down. It's not subeta. It's angelfire.

Instead of using angelfire, try imgur. It's really reliable and has never let me down. Replace your image links with ones from imgur. Hope that helps!

i have it in my imgur should angelfire come back up though i will wait n see..i can handle a day or so without it..funny how in love you can be with it..it represents a lot of me though.
