Assuming this post shows up...I'm pretty patient and usually when this kind of stuff happens I don't really worry or complain because I have no reason to think you guys aren't working on it or that you won't try to compensate users for the inconvenience. I don't really know enough about this kind of stuff to understand what you guys are doing anyway. This time around has been frustrating though and Masq isn't even my favorite holiday.

I'm aware of that. The bug is not the message; the bug is that the form submission is apparently being processed more than once. I am clicking once and watching one POST go out—but I'm still getting the "duplicate" page. This used to happen occasionally, but now it happens every time.

I don't think upset begins to cover how some users feel sadly :(

why are staff so against using the news when the forums are a mess right now?? i have no words. it took me forever just to get to the front page, then i have to go through a million 502s just to get to this thread another 10 minutes later. i shouldn’t have to go through a “workaround” page, that literally makes no sense when you could just...put it in the news feed. just put it on the damn front page so everyone knows what’s going on.

I don't think anyone is upset with you personally - but it's very frustrating that not a single staff member capable of posting to the news has done so. Instead of passing messages to you to then in turn post in the barey functioning forums they should be communicating with us directly. Right now it looks like they're hiding... again.

With everything else going on with the site I am not surprised the dance time hasn't been shortened. I am still getting the 502 error most of the time.
