Originally when I checked just a couple of CW's showed up, well I just decided to wait. Today I checked the CS's in the organize items area and saw them so on another screen I hit the wardrobe items showing only CW's and 112 showed up. Knowing that I had just over 100 and I know I bought all of these. Maybe not as much is lost as originally thought. Thank you again Bug for the tireless way you and the Subeta Team tackle the problems that arise.
So now we're being told that if an item didn't get deleted from EVERY SINGLE WARDROBE it wasn't part of the glitch and we're basically out of luck? You have staff opening tickets with releasers investigating people for reporting items that are missing...
If staff took the time to look at the AMAZING spreadsheet that was made you'd see that a LOT of the missing items are only missing from SOME wardrobes but we're essentially being told it's "not the glitch" that did it? HOW DID IT ALL GO MISSING THEN?
And WHY is Bug saying one thing but UAs are opening tickets and saying another. This is RIDICULOUS. Are you TRYING to make us all leave? Is that the goal here?
we're not out of the woods yet
Hello,
I have been taking a backseat in all of this, because time and time again, I have been reassured OVER AND OVER AGAIN, that it would be made right.
Instead of that, I've learned this morning that once again I should be concerned. If your item was not deleted for everyone, you're out of luck.
I find it audacious that I'm getting such conflicting information.
I do keep slotting info to an extent, but it's tough to keep between two computers. I send out hundreds of gifts a year. I cover people's slots all the time. & to have a site doubt its users so fully is disgusting to me.
I do not want to be a part of something like this, even thousands of dollars later. You HAVE to stand up for the little guy. You have to. & Instead we're practically being called liars and made to prove how and when we acquired an item. A virtual pixel that I'm sure you guys could find a way to replace.
I DO NOT WANT ANYMORE STAFF TICKETS trying to make me help prove someone had something. Don't you dare go that far.
Fix this. I do not have plans to continue supporting the site at this rate, even with hundreds of unreleased items.
And for the record, I think bug is the only one stepping up to the plate here and I'm sick to see it. I appreciate the heck out of them but its not a one man show.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

I will preface this post with the fact that I am extremely cautious about saying anything ever for fear of being frozen; and many other users have this sentiment.
According to more than a lot of users (I mean more than 100), not every item that was deleted was deleted in every single wardrobe. So is this a way that staff can get out of replacing many a missing item (which really can't be that hard to do, since it is pixels)?
I mean, I know this is not a rare item (below), but it was a gift from my sister, who was REALLY excited to restock it when it was band new (it still is relatively new!). Now this item is missing from my wardrobe. It has sentimental value to me, because she gave it to me. I have other examples of items that I own that are now not in my wardrobe that somehow other users still own.

I really really extremely want:
how hard can it really be to a) not fuck the situation up in the first place and then b) not make it even worse with your reaction
you have who in the first place has the most active participation in the community on this hell site, who we all know works their butt off, but still!! one person cannot and shouldnt have to solve this by themself!!
then you have an absolute miscommunication - i hope to the HIGH HEAVENS it is - that leaves people even more angry and scared, because now youve changed the definition of what the glitch affected yet again. if you would take one fucking look at the spreadsheet you would see even just a small glimpse that most items have at least one person who still has the item, so excuse me, does this mean none of those people might be getting their items back? because its not the same glitch?? or even a glitch at all? the fact that you need to ask the releaser for info is appalling because newsflash: most people dont have extensive records of their release slotting because this is a hobby. and even IF spreadsheets are part of that hobby, how in the hell is the releaser supposed to track who gifts or trades the items??
honestly, more and more people are thinking of leaving or just simply stopping releasing/commissioning CWs, and the fact that your response as staff has been so goddamn lackluster and just ???? has me thinking that its that you just dont care anymore. if yall dont: just fucking tell us.

Thank You Bug for everything and all of the hard work you are doing!

Thank you so much for telling me about putting a CW list on Subetalodge! I have other lists and never thought about a CW list. I need to make a list of my weapons also. Since we are in quarantine this is a great time.
I hope this wardrobe mess gets sorted out! This was a very bad time to bring in a new wardrobe system during and event. Oh well.
So following up to 's post, this just happened. This was purchased from my cw shop after a user reported this item was missing from their wardrobe.

I don't know what's going on here. Is there really no other way for staff to replace these items other than... this? I'm honestly appalled at staff's response to this. What are you going to do for items that ran out of copies and is unavailable through shop search? Please, we're BEGGING you to look at the spreadsheet here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1N4UBmEx3hXDSvUhAmpbzEKjhfoe-X7ShyeagNmK8gNo/edit?usp=sharing
Some items are missing for others while some of us still have theirs. Those of us who had lost items should not just eat up this loss and move on just because this glitch didn't affect some the same way it did for others. Is there something about this bug that you are hiding from us? Are the UAs not well informed as the users about this? I think I will be taking official responses to this with a grain of salt until I see some real action. I'm tired of being so critical of staff's handling of this glitch. I'm tired of repeating the same sentiment over and over. Subeta was an escape from real life stress, now it has become the stressor.
I have refrained from sending a missing item report from my own account because I am uncertain whether I have resold/traded/sent the item I am missing from my wardrobe in the last four months. Like many others, I have been comparing notes with other members of the site and participating in the spreadsheet organised by to facilitate tracking the missing items.
While I understand staff's logic that it is strange for an item to have disappeared from the wardrobes of select users and not others, have you considered isolating parametres that could affect this bug before using language suggesting that users are attempting to scam for items or defraud staff?
I am not discounting the possibility that dishonesty does and will happen in any system, but most people who will report an item as missing will do it to regain an item they rightfully gained on their account through legitimate means, and lost through means outside of their own doing (hacking, glitches, database errors, and the like.)
Now, I know nothing about how Subeta's backend works, except that it is apparently held together by the coding equivalent of duct tape. I will not reiterate how grossly negligent it is of the site's administration to fail to realise that the backup service had failed, and for four months, at that. I will not criticise the way that the bug was disclose, because that has been done to death, instead, I propose specific scenario for you:
These are just examples from someone who has very limited education in programming, an outsider's "benefit of the doubt", so to speak. Programming relies on your problem-solving and analytical skill. I believe that while Subeta's continuous propensity to have continuous site errors, catastrophic glitches of this scale, and an inability to perform without incident for a single site event in recent history is multifactorial, a lot of it lies not only in its leadership, but also in its refusal to trust its userbase.
Why am I talking about this? Those of us who submit Custom Wearable items to the site can provide release information for a specific custom item, but it is not comforting to know that it might not be admissible as "proof" that the user in question actually owned the copy of the item. It is also worrying to know that other members of the site feel as though staff is overly suspicious of every single person who files a missing item report.
That's a valid take in case said records are not updated, but is it our fault that Purchase Logs do not list the name of the specific Custom Wearable item is paid for unless it is directly purchased from a Custom Wearable shop in the Cash Shop system?
What about Custom Wearables obtained via gifts or trades? I don't think anyone is going to expect a trades history to be implemented (imagine the strain on the servers...), but that seems to be the only "proof" adequate enough for staff to accept that someone owned an item in the past. Yes, the Gift Centre now has all sent and received gifts logged, but Lumineve gifts only display the previous year's gifts. Only a select few users have the foresight to save the gift list after that one year all gifts from a previous year were received a second time.
Pray, do tell. If most of the methods by which users obtain their Custom Wearables are not logged, how do we sastifactorily prove OUR ownership (or "lease", in your legalese) of a copy of an item to YOU?
This is even worse for official site wardrobe items. There are so many of them to keep track of. Not everyone uses SubetaLodge or other off-site methods of tracking ownership of these items, so exactly how do we prove that we owned these items.
I've taken many hiatuses and have stuck through this site through thick and thin. I've gotten myself into debt just to support this website (but I do not blame anyone but myself for it,) but now, I am left wondering if it is worth it at all.
Aaaa, I feel bad for putting my name on that spreadsheet now as someone still having a CW... pls dont put it against that person after their item.
Honestly the vast vast majority of those cws listed are just bog standards in market terms, so even if there were an extra one or two by accident appearing on site. It wouldn't exactly affect anything. The market moves so slowly anyway now. But my point is I don't think anyone's lying. You have a really good community here. If we saw anything weird we'd say it xD.
We don't want the market anymore borked lmao.
tho, if yall wanna create a glitch that rng throws items from frozen users that haven't been sold/ traded in over 6 years in wardrobes then feel free, (this is an obvious joke). But why are glitches always bad ;n;
I was not affected as far as I can tell on the CW front. But I also haven't really touched the new wardrobe before hearing about all this, idk if that has anything to do with it?
After reading through all of this (and pardon my proficiency in English, it's my third language), I've got only one thing to say: Thank goodness I was one of the lucky persons who didn't lose anything really valuable due to this mess (I can just buy myself a new come Vesnali)... What more I had to say to this I could but it was all written already, so I keep it with this one here: RTFM! Or more clearly, PLEASE take a look at this list Staff, PLEASE: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1N4UBmEx3hXDSvUhAmpbzEKjhfoe-X7ShyeagNmK8gNo/edit#gid=177197654
Honestly, I can easily understand how "DELETE FROM Wardrobe WHERE ItemID=%d AND WardrobeID=%d;" became "DELETE FROM Wardrobe WHERE ItemID=%d; AND WardrobeID=%d;". I trust you guys will do your best resolving this. I have complete confidence in the Subeta team. Just let us know what we all can do to help.

To clear some things up:
We absolutely believe you guys when you're telling us that it's been deleted for you, even if it hasn't been for other people.
There WAS a miscommunication here amongst staff regarding this. Our UA thought that the item had to be deleted from everyone's wardrobe in order to be this glitch, which we have explained now isn't the case. This miscommunication has been now cleared up within staff.
That said, when we ask for information, it's to get a clearer picture of what happened - not because we think you're trying to scam us! But we need to figure out what happened in case there are other glitches we have to worry about, and if so we want to find out who else might have been affected.
That's what the UA here was trying to do - because she mistakenly thought it was an unrelated glitch, again due to a miscommunication that was not her fault. Regarding the CW bought from 's shop - our UA bought that to try and test if it would disappear for her. This item is currently still in the UAs wardrobe, and this test was only done in order to best figure out what happened so the UA could help other users. The UA now understands the mistake, but she was genuinely trying to act in the best interest of the users given what she believed at the time.
We sincerely apologize for the miscommunication behind this. We believe that we've cleared up the miscommunications within staff at this point and hopefully there will be less confusion from now on.
I don't understand why staff think an item has to be gone from everyone's wardrobe to "count" as missing and part of the glitch.
I've been playing regularly. I know how many items I myself had to delete from my inventory after my pet ate something and yet it still remained in inventory. There are errors constantly causing incomplete actions.
So item A is removed from wardrobe. The wardrobe glitch tries to remove item A from all the wardrobes, partway through, the site glitches and stops deleting. Voila...items gone from some users, still exists in other wardrobes.
Is this not obvious??????

can we now safely use the wardrobe again or will you let us know when everything works again?

It's safe to use the wardrobe now. The original glitch has been fixed :)
Very glad to (once again) see that there was a miscommunication and not that people are intentionally being asked to provide proof that they owned the items they did. Is it too much to ask that the communication be clearer in general too though? Like I'm sure the staff as a whole are also stressed out by this glitch and everything but it adds more stress when they're continually providing two separate sets of instructions and giving conflicting information out.
Hmm my frustrations were high when I made this post. tl;dr complaints abt communication and blahdeeblah.
