Hmm..Darkside huh...well, what canonical species reside there? Mortikings and Velosotor, right? Darkonite's a possibility, since Ian is responsible for creating them, so maybe a rogue mutant one exists.

I mean assuming it's even going to be a 'wild version of a domestic pet' theme still.

edit: well, the 5th loot drop seems to suggest Tigrean...but those are supposedly Shadowglen natives. Perhaps another origin retcon?

See, this is why it's very hard for me to tell what's a joke and what's not. At least now I don't have to get stressed over other mystery people it could be, not until next year anyway...

Interesting name. Velosotor seems most fitting of the Darkside-origin species?

I'm not sure which species the Cash Shop challenger will be since the new loot doesn't make it obvious (also I'm going to need all those books and backgrounds and I'm not much of a battler so that will be hard).

Anyway, there does seem to be a land theme again. Darkside is surprising to be this easly, I'm guessing that means October will be Shadowglen. Next month will most likely be somewhere on Atebus (could be the wastes but we had a Cash Shop challenger from there last year so I don't know, maybe somewhere near Pina Park instead). Delphi and the Omen Islands will be at some point during summer, Arctic Frost will almost certainly be December, and the other lands could be at any time of the year really.

Also, wouldn't it be funny if the last of this series of regular monthly challengers was just Blake as he is normally? Maybe as a bonus challenger or something? Speaking of which, they never did release the Secluded Shrine NPCs as challengers (or at least one of them, whichever one that was going to be). I wonder if they'll ever get round to it...

I don't know, they didn't do the Pirate challengers last Keel Hauliday, so they might not bring back Nacho Muerte or the Pylot or whichever other Survival-related challengers there are this year. Which is a shame if not, because there are some people who would like the chance to get achievements without having to wait another year, that was a big complaint about no pirates last year.
