Just a heads up that the delay is happening again, though maybe (hopefully) not as bad?

I sent out pings for three groups at once and it took a couple minutes for the third group in my list to have the ping go through. I actually thought it didn't work but didn't (thankfully) try pinging again and it eventually appeared in the sidebar.

Ah okay, that's good to know. I might suggest making an official announcement about it though because I think that's why I'm getting multiple pings from the same group hashtag on the same board - people thinking that their pings aren't going through and then trying to resend them until they appear. It's not happening every time but it is happening pretty frequently.

If this happened a few weeks ago, then why am I still not getting most of my events? (For example, Fantine's bakery, training centre, crypts)

I think that's a separate issue in that those places are not creating the events in the first place for some reason. It's still being looked into.

Oh okay. Guess I'll rely on this strange IRL feature they call' memory' in the mean time. Shame it's buggy as hell though. =P

It's for forum group pings most specifically. So if you ping more than one group, some of the pings may not go through right away.

Yeah, I think this will affect forum group pings the most because I haven't really noticed any delays in regular alerts like for games or the Morty Cards or anything like that (except for the time a few days ago when they were having the initial issue posted here that got fixed).

But forum groups that have hundreds or even a thousand or so users in them could maybe take a few extra minutes for the ping to go out to everyone, especially if the site is already lagging like during events or something. So this is just to let people know about it so they don't end up pinging the group several times thinking it didn't go through.

thanks for the update and for the heads up on possible delays! i guess we'll just cross our fingers and hope some pings (i'm mostly thinking of the Subeautique restocking group ping) will go through quickly, as that one in particular relies on timeliness for effectiveness (not that i for one have had the time/motivation/energy to stalk the shop lately)

A week later and the delay is still going. No biggie, kind of funny actually, but still...thought I'd say something.
