I know this is, once again, a late response >_< I feel like we are always battling so many things every December and this somehow falls through the cracks, I'm sorry.

We are aware of this issue, and we are actually also aware of why it happens and what causes it. Basically, a few types of ornaments (garlands and tree skirts) have a "fixed" position on the tree. You aren't supposed to be able to move them anywhere else (like putting a tree skirt on the tippy top of the tree, for instance) The glitch is that the tree editor lets you move them around and it's not supposed to.

I think the easiest way to fix this glitch is to simply let you reposition these types of ornaments wherever you want, instead of making them snap to a certain position on the tree. I think people enjoy the creative freedom anyway. I'll get this done for Luminaire 2020 :)

Thank you for the consideration! This hasn't been forgotten; it's the only bug report in the holidays forum so it stares at me every time I visit P&B, lol. I still intend to have it fixed for this year :D You're right that it should be done before December, since that tends to be a busy busy month, so I'll shuffle it off of backlog soon.

This is fixed for this year's Luminaire! I'll leave this report open until you can confirm. :)

Thanks for confirming! I hear you but there's no reason to believe it is not fixed at this point, so I'm closing this up. If you run into issues later in the holiday, please feel free to make a new report, because any issue you run into will be a separate issue from this one. The issue this report is for has been resolved and confirmed.

I've fixed this, but in the future please make a new bug report instead of posting off-topic on an unrelated bug report, according to the rules and guidelines of this forum.
