Now I'm terrified to do my other quests in case she comes to her senses later. Or is this just something she does once in a while randomly?

(I know it's possible to buy the bracelet pieces as items, but I swear to... er, Shinwa... that I didn't do that!)

Shinwa also didn't reset for me -- it's the second day within this week that this happened.

Shinwa should understand that if we don't do her moronic quests, we can't do ANY other quest, but then again...I knew there's an other reason I hate her guts!!

i'm also having this issue! i did my shinwa quest sometime in the morning yesterday, so i'm wondering if it's on a 24 hour timer now? (if so, i'm not sure if that would be a mistake or intentional, but hopefully it's the former)

for those wanting to do quests though, i suggest doing what i did - complete all but 5 of each of the ones she can ask for (so, full sarah/saggi should be fine) and wait, i guess!

At this point, I'm starting to wonder if there's something in the system left behind as a coding artifact from a pair of previous programmers. iirc they were the ones who had the idea to move her to a 24-hour reset system years and years ago (and it resonated badly w/the userbase, so it was set back to the midnight reset mechanic).

[edit] For anyone wondering, I'm not pulling the 24-hour idea outta nowhere. Recent help topic inquiring about the same thing, and people have reached the conclusion that she's back to the 24-hour system.

That would make sense if both instances that her quest did not reset for me by midnight server time were on consecutive days, but they weren't. I'm guessing it might be related to the failure of the cron to reset at midnight like in the previous years, on certain days/server load.

Yeah I'm getting her not resetting at midnight for the 2nd day in a row too.

It might be that the 24-hour reset is possibly a fallback if/when the midnight cron reset fails? Still seems odd because all other quests are reset except for Shinwa, so I don't believe it's strictly a cron thing. Unless the site freaking out back on midnight on the date when Morostide started forced Shinwa into the 24-hour clock & she's stuck in it even when the site is resetting fine. I'm not on at midnight Subeta time so I can't report back if the site flips out regularly or not.

Oh, that's strange. I guess it's not consistent for everyone -- I've asked other people off-site if their Shinwa quests have reset for the day, and there are people who were not affected by this bug at all. That's making me discard my theory about it being connected to the cron, since it does not affect all users.

In either case, I really hope staff looks into this; I don't like doing any of the quests that count towards Shinwa before I finish her quests first.
