Hey guys ^^ Anyone knows when Cozcoatl was originally released as a challenger? Was it for any subeta event/plot in particular?

I thought it was the hardest challenger for the A Bad Omen event.

Mmmh... If I got both, Extremely Hard & Impossible Tokens from Cozcoatl... is he an EH or an IMP challenger? o.o

EH, the levels are sorted alphabetically for each difficulty and it's listed among the EH. However, it's considered hard enough to count as an IMP so it sometimes drops those. There are multiples challengers like that, General Error is another.

Yeah I've noticed a few cases, particularly with GE .

[edit] Finally got to the Impossible challengers! Any weapon suggestions for Lady of the Waters & Daemon, Servant of the Seas?

For Daemon, I would take some combination of Natasha/Pobow/MW/Trident and make sure you blast on her, as it seems especially effective (she only has 1 weapon that does damage)

For Lady of the Waters, I would take Natasha/Pobow for sure, and as a second weapon I would choose either Blade of the Bonfire or MSH as her major icons are Fire and Ice, and then some smattering of Physical and Earth. Definitely bring freeze protection for her as well.

Hello strangers! I've just started to do the tiniest bit of tiptoeing into the battling world to try it out. Is this an okay place to ask extremely stupid questions, or is there a better thread for that?

For starters, my best battle pet is just about to hit Tier 5 (under 10 points to go to get there). I've been leveling his stats mostly evenly until now. What level challengers could I realistically hope to beat if I invested in a good weapon set? I've been doing the dumb version of battling where I mostly use whatever I have lying around as weapons and mindlessly use the same ones over and over. Haven't figured out potions or scrolls yet. Obviously I have a lot of learning to do if I want to get serious about it. But how much could I do with a solid weapon set while I work on figuring out the scroll system and building up alchemy points and such? Right now, I can generally beat up to level 10 in battle quests, but can't go beyond that.

'Hard' challengers are generally for T4-5 so you should be able to do some level 11-15 battle quests with a bit of weapon and scroll improvement.

For T5, I recommend this set: The Gorgun is available through the Battle Shop. It's a 100% freezer, which is a good item to start your battle with. Save up your tokens and you should be able to buy it soon. Ol Blue is a little expensive, but it has a chance to freeze, which I think makes it worth the price. Phoenix Quill is a weapon you will use for as long as you battle so it's definitely worth buying.

Scrolls basically act as a third weapon. They have freezers, attackers, defenders, healers, and bombs just like weapons do. The best part is you get to equip a lot of them if your AP is high, which can help smaller pets. Singed Stuffing Scroll is a very affordable beginner infinite use scroll. I also like Fatal Fire Scroll because it has very good fire and dark defense as well as a good amount of attack icons (once per battle). I think those would be good places to start.

I wouldn't worry about potions too much right now. Most are one use and you have to re-equip them every time you use them, which gets very time consuming. I honestly don't even use them very much anymore :x

Thank you for the advice! Looks like I can start taking on some tougher opponents once I upgrade my weapon set. Most things in that list aren't even that expensive, so I have no excuse not to. The Phoenix Quill is conveniently in season right now- nice!
