nods Cathii released two in the last week or so, and Niamh insisted on both :P That's good :d Hopefully she keeps feeling better until she's back to normal :D

oooo that rifty look is amazing!! :D :D

that's a good point! Dad's football team paid a lot for (I think) an ex-England goalkeeper at one point.... he was utterly useless and kept letting in own goals :P I always wondered if footballers were paid per hour, what that amount would end up being (counting training and match times) 😇

Here's an update. When I had my surgery on my left leg last week I couldn't move my toes up high enough (moving my toes has become too painful and difficult--something this surgery will help to correct) and the doctor put a pad under my foot to help the elongation process of my tendon. But I've been having my knee buckling quite a lot since then. Today was my 3rd out of 4 laser treatments on my right leg. The orderly asked how I was doing and I told him about the knee issue. the doctor came in touched my knee and I winced almost straight away. He said, 'yep you need a shot.' He numbed it and damn that was a long needle but thankfully the initial shot didn't hurt. he said it was due to too much shifting of the leg and if I didn't have the shot I would do more damage to my knee. There is some damage now but I believe that'll heal. THis should calm down the inflammation and so on. He told me what it was but honestly I have no idea what the hell he said. Anyway, he lowered the padding on the leg and I'm walking better. I had two grocery orders to put away and sanitise which took an hour to do. All that standing and probably the shot too, plus the pain that was already in the knee all have combined to get me to be crying in pain. Typically it takes a lot to make me cry so I put it at a 9 on the pain scale. Took the last Vicodin I had and icing it.

My next apt on Weds is to take this cast off and move my leg more, which if i can't do on my own, he and the orderly will have to move it for me. I'm expecting that to hurt. I also get the last laser treatment on my right leg. The right leg is definitely doing so much better so that's a positive.

Pinkpanther good luck with the cleaning. PAddy- haha the diva. thanks lol I couldn't resist using the rift skin. :D Thanks for your help <3 I love your ha today too :)

I will have to try giving the cloth a message to see if it helps with larger holes - thanks. I have tried that in some cases but sometimes it's just SO many big holes I swear it's too far gone. :P LOL

Your school uniform does sound very nice, I would have liked that type of uniform as well. ^^ ALSO your HA is SUPER amazing!!! You look so fantastic I didn't recognize you! ^^ lol :D

O.O YOUR HA -- it is so rifty and perfect!!!!!

I am sorry you had so much pain. :( I hope you get some more pain meds and a refill on ti at least! -more hugs- You poor thing. I am so glad that the doctor was able to help you though. I hope it continues to help so you'll heal up well. I am glad to hear about your right leg doing so well! -happy hopeful smiles- <3

thanks :D I just got the rift skin finally lol so I am pretty happy to get it and wanted to give it a go XD yours is looking all techy :D I like :) thanks. I hope it calms down. Doubtful I'll get more. They are pretty er stingy on the pain meds and I don't often take 'em anyway. thanks dear. I'm glad he could help too and hope the pain for the day makes the pain less the next days going forwards. Yes me too. I actually for the first time in my life that I recall have almost no callous on my right foot, which is pretty damn cool :D

that sounds challenging with your knee! Was the pad under your foot something that only your left leg needed after the surgery then? But at least you're walking better with the lower padding :) I can imagine you were pleased to get all that done and out of the way though ;) Are you looking forward to Wednesday, or are you more wary given how painful it's been?

You're welcome :D And Niamh insisted on using one of the newer backgrounds - I'm going to have to let RP-Paddy play with them at some point ;)

oooo that's a stunning HA today! :D hehe if the holes are too big, then it doesn't work too well, although it should close them up a little :D It was a better uniform than they have now - they've gone back to blazers and ties laughs Thanks :D :D I thought I'd try out a few new items :d

Someone should def. do the math on that!

LOL Sounds like he stopped giving a damn to be honest. 👼

I think it would come out as a crazily high number! ;) nods either that, or he was just too "old" to play football even at that level - I mean Dad's team aren't in the top league, so there had to be some reason why this chap was willing to play for them! :P

good luck on the healing! I've had those shots before. They are amazing. I had one in my shoulder when I tore my rotator cuff. (Also sorry I've not been up to much RP because I've been having a pain flare.)

yes. I couldnt get my toes high enough so i was off balance. The new cast should be pad free. Im pleased to get rid of that 4 inch padding lol. But knee is still hurting. Hoping it works soon. Im kinda on the wary side lol but we are doing our own expo for scrapbooking starting Wednesday since we wont be going to the real one thanks to covid. Thats kina helping me not stress as much. And my knit box arrived and got out of quarantine so i have that to distract me too. We have even made shirts and badges for it. Lol. They are great backgrounds.

thanks sweetie. Im sure its for the best. Read my comment to paddy. We are doing our own expo.

thanks. Mum did too. Said day 3 is a good day for lower pain so im hopeful. Xd. Owie sounds painful No worries. I have been in pain myself. Feel better dear

I can imagine that padding was a bit like getting new shoes that are meant to be good for you, but they really don't fit as you'd anticipated! ooo that's a neat idea for the scrapbooking expo :d Did they cancel the real one, or did you just decide that it was better to not be near that many people?
hehe those shirts & badges sound awesome! :D :D

We've been told the electricity company are going to do some work here on Wednesday, so the power will be off for "some time between 9am and 3pm" - of course we haven't a clue how long during that time, so I'm getting some drawing ideas sorted and thought I could maybe do a little cross stich kit I unearthed when I was looking for elastic for mask making (I still didn't find the elastic :P)

Love that you are doing your own lil expo. :D Shirts and badges and everything. :D Have fun with the new knit box too! :) We went to see my grandma today, staying outdoors of course, keeping our distance. She is going nuts not being able to go out like she wants to and have people over. Bored out of her mind.

I bet the team had high hopes for him too. :) It def. happen to any team, some players just dont end up performing as well as expected. :)

Had a good weekend? :) We went to see my grandma today, staying outdoors of course, keeping our distance. She is going nuts not being able to go out like she wants to and have people over. Bored out of her mind.

that's very true - especially if they read afterwards that there were rumours a different (maybe better?) team wanted them, but didn't get the opportunity to bid for them / didn't bid enough ;)

It was ok, but would've been better if the neighbours hadn't decided that a sunny hot weekend was a good one to work on their classic vehicles (one was working on the fuel tank of his motorbike (I think) and making a stink of petrol, the other wanted to rev up his classic car for quite a while before eventually taking it out for a drive). That's great that you were able to go and visit her :d I guess she's of the generation where they don't really get to grips with technology for a video chat or anything? (my Gran certainly wouldn't like that - she hates "that computer thing" :P)

Oh dear, I'm so sorry about your knee! D= I hope that the damage is able to heal up just fine, and that the pain subsides. <3 I'm so sorry that it is causing you so much pain. 😢 hugs Hopefully getting the cast off will go well, and I am happy to hear that your right leg is doing better! Congrats on getting the rift skin, too! I still haven't had any luck with that one. xD

That kinda thing can def. mess with a players head a bit. ;)

That does sound annoying. >_< You should start blasting some music really loud to make a point. 👼

She refuses to learn to use a cellphone or a computer, so yeah. lol She does have her landline tho so we can call her. A simple (not smarthpone) cell wouldnt be too difficult to learn I suppose, but she is stubborn like that. :P I know she would love to get a hug from us, so its a bit sad that we cant do that now. But she was very happy to get some company and have a chat. How are your gran dealing with the new situation? :)

well, I've recently gone back to playing the keyboard, so there's some really good bass-filled songs I've been playing 😇

hehe my Gran was the same on refusing to use a cellphone. As she put it, "I've got my landline so why do I need one of those" - she wouldn't even have a cordless landline (which she could use from her armchair and not have to stand to get to the phone) :P Some days Gran seems to get on ok with it, and other days you can tell she's not finding it overly easy. She desperately wants her hair cut (and washed - she can't do that herself, so the hairdresser does it for her every other week normally), but of course hairdressers aren't able to work yet.

Got a bit side tracked today with projects. We are doing a mini scrapbook expo and home since we shan’t be attending the event even if it is going forward. So Weds starts it. I’m very excited and its giving me something to focus on to take my mind off the pain which I’m still experiencing—though not as bad as before. We’ll see what doc says on Weds which is my apt. Not looking forward to that visit lol but I’ll be focusing on the expo as best I can.

Paddy Yeah you make a good point.
The real on so far is going forward but to be honest I am not entirely sure it will happen. However, I believe the risk for us is too much. A lot of people who go are more vulnerable than the average person. We see plenty of wheelchairs, walkers and so on. Besides that, I can’t see how social distancing would work. And it just seems like a damn good place to get corona at. The exhibitors and staff are from all over the country which doesn’t help and it’s in the heart of the one of the hotspots in GA.

Sounds like a good back up plan and fun too. Hope the drawing goes well and the power isn’t off for too long :) Another cute HA :D

Pinkpanther—thanks. I’m very excited :D I loved the first knit project and the wool. Just finished the “basket” and working on handles. I think I’ll have enough to maybe do another one :D I can understand that! All I talk to right now is my doctor and his staff.

Bitterlimeparakeet—It’s calmed some. We’ll see what doc says on Weds. The injection site is very tender though. Me too. Last time it was painful. LOL my friend wants me to go with white for the new cast and paint it with blood splatters and crime scene tape :D Oh thank you. Go everyday for 7 days with rift pie or rift coffee (cos they are cheap) and you’ll get it :D

Valiska yes :D me too. Feeling a bit better today. Hope you are too. I had a cute idea for the rp :D

Haha, I like it. 👼 :D

My grandma even refuses to get one of those alarms that you wear around your neck, that you can use to call for help if you fall down or fall ill. :P Some elderly embrace tecnology, but a lot of them never do it seems like. :P

Aww, its understandable that she at least would like to have your hair washed. It must be tough not being able to these things yourself.

I am glad you have something fun to focus on. :) Hope your appointment goes well! :) Hope we get to see some pics. xD Sounds neat! I have still been super uninpsired to do crafting. lol but I have completed a couple of games at least. Kingdom Hearts 3 and Life is strange. Not sure which game(s) I will play next. Maybe complete steam world dig 2. I am stuck there tho.. so think I might need to look up a guide. lol

Isolation kinda sucks, :squishes:

Yes it makes sense that they are stingy on narcotic pain meds. They even are that way for my 99 year old grandma who is in severe back pain, but finally (this year) they let her have some. I mean, how long will she really get addicted to them, even if she could (she is not in control of her dose)? WOW no callus on your right foot is amazing! How did it go away, did they surgically remove it and now that it is healed up it is not there? I am a bit confused on how it went away. lol Sorry I have no experience with this. Have a fun time at the expo, I know you love that one! :D

Thanks a lot! :D I have been really loving wearing these new peets and wings I got for my bday. I also have changed maybe once a day in the past 3 days because I finally got several layers in my wardrobe to load (though the head layer would not load until today!). I like your new HA too, those shorts go well with that top. I am now thinking I should get a few pairs of those from Esther. You know the jeans I had the biggest trouble with holes were ones that had a lot of stretch and when i was sewing it would rip out fabric bits or pull on threads so I had to cut them or risk running up the leg. It was super irritating. Now i have a rule that I only sew on 75% cotton or more.

hands the birds in your HA-less outfit some bird seed treats

Getting side tracked is good as long as they're positive projects ;) That's crazy with them still planning on going ahead with the proper expo! I can't blame you in not wanting to risk it though especially with people travelling a large distance to get there! Over here, they'd cancelled this month's classic car show back in March, but September's 'Regency Parade' (where they have hundreds of people dressed in Regency outfits, walking through the city centre) was only cancelled in the last week or two. I don't know why they thought they'd still be able to run that parade, when people travel from other countries to participate as well (and nobody in the parade can realistically be 2m apart from the others, let alone anyone wanting to stand and watch!).

I got my forest of plants watered today, which was going to be another idea for tomorrow but the plants on the windowsill were flagging in the heat. I won a Monstera plant (Swiss Cheese Plant) a couple of weeks ago, and that came with instructions to say he (they give their plants names, so that one is called Monty :P) has to be watered twice a week.... so far he's been getting one lot of water a week, so I need to get back on track with that! 😊

Especially if the neighbours can't work out where the bass-y music is coming from 😇 Yeah, my Grandad loves his computer (still running Windows 7 and all he uses it for is playing Solitaire :P) but Gran has never wanted to understand anything like that! I think if my Gran was asked, she wouldn't want one of those call alarm things either. She didn't want a walking stick - she was adamant that she'd never get one. Then after her friend gave her a fancy walking stick for her birthday one year, she realised how useful it was. After that, each time she saw an older person walking without a stick (and looking like they needed one), she'd always comment afterwards that she didn't understand why they didn't have a walking stick! :P

nods I did try suggesting that having the hairdresser wash her hair, could be classed under "personal care" rather than "hairdressing" so in theory it should still have been allowed (assuming the hairdresser would've been comfortable doing it, of course). But I think the hairdresser was worried that someone would report her for working when she wasn't meant to be, so she hasn't gone near any of her hairdressing clients since the lockdown started.

the wardrobe is loading much better now, although I changed my outfit this morning and it's still showing me yesterday's look for my HA :K (Niamh should be wearing the newest bunny).

Thanks :d I had hoped there'd be some purple shorts, but blue was the closest I could find :P I ended up buying one of everything for the wardrobe (never know when you might need it!), plus one of each food, book and of course extras for

Floriculture's treasure in the hope that I'll eventually get the inspiration to do her story and make her spotlight-worthy laughs

I've sewn with stretchy denim before, but that sounds like a nightmare with the threads pulling like that! Actually, that reminds me - I came across some really thin denim-y fabric I bought ages ago (bought it online, thinking it was proper denim, but it turned out to be really lightweight (I guess it's more like a chambray) so I wasn't sure if it'd be heavy enough for jeans) when I was tidying up in the corner of the cupboard yesterday laughs Seeing as I've made shorts from basic polycotton and they've been fine, I'm wondering if this thinner denim might still be ok to make some lightweight summery jeans from after all!
