The only challengers that have really ever pushed capped pets have been pre-nerf Chronochrone and Lukien.

Pre-nerf chronochrone was dominated by high STR builds, and I have the high score on Lukien with a more rounded approach.

I think that ultimately if you cap a pet the different between a 13K/7K/7K/9K vs a 13K/7.5K/7.5K/7K are going to be marginal at best. Even the difference between a rounded pet and something like rocketlauncher's high HP builds are too difficult to really tease apart. I think as long as you don't go for 30K Defense or 30K speed your probably good.

There are a lot of different builds that will work just fine against 100% of opponents. Where you start to see trouble is when you farm opponents. That will be based on your equipment and AP more than anything else. As opponents start having an absurd amount of health with each win, the more freezing or blocking scrolls you can equip, the better

May I ask a question? Maybe it's a dumb question but I've always been curious lol. I see the recommended a lot but looking them up on SL, I wonder how they're soooo much better than the Recycle Blaster that it justifies the huge price. The main function of both seems to be to turn one of your opponent's weapons into junk OPB. Soma Tablets have an additional "chance to activate a random curse and/or blessing" ...I'm never too optimistic about things that say "chance" or "random". Is it always a high chance? Is there something else I'm missing? Why is this considered so awesome? I'm still (forever) saving up for Natasha so I'm cautious about spending so much sP on something else.

Soma tablets have a chance to steal, freeze, activate a blessing, or curse. It can also be used with the recycle blaster. It’s recommended for most opponents to be used with recycle blaster so that two weapons are turned into junk.

It says chance but it seems to always activate the curse/blessing. I don't remember a time where it didn't. You can pair both blasters together which is nice, saved me a bunch of times. The possible steal and freeze is nice, doesn't happen very often though. You can go with the Blackmoon Hand Blaster if Soma is too much to pair with RB instead. Being a reading drive item is where the value comes from. Don't think that the price difference is justifiable since it is better but then again the RB being a loot drop tanked it's value.

I'm getting itchy to use my booster hoard on my second battler... He's 450 stats from T11 and I -want- it. But I also like having a hoard I know I can dip into if something comes up and I suddenly need stats.

Uuuuuussssseeeeeee them! That's my vote at least haha. :D Hoarding is fun but I hate using the hoards because it' just so mundane to power through all that clicking. But jumping up by a poop-ton of stat points is always fun. :3

Yeee, just got my fifth win against The Faceless Ones; I only managed one when I first got the challenger. Could probably keep going but all that stealing is driving me nuts, so that's good enough for now!

I also have a bunch of tomes squirreled away in my vault but for some reason I've always thought it was a good idea to save them for later. I don't know when "later" really is though.

If your goal is to cap your pet, I would save the boosters until T13 when it takes a lot longer to gain stats. Use battle exp in the meantime

I would hang onto them unless there is an opponent giving you trouble during BQs. You will still struggle to get to 30 quests at T11 though.
