that skeleton is truly feelin himself man.
What I love most about halloween is all the treats and dressing up in costumes :O
and - I'm hoping that I can put all of my entries in one post! I wasn't sure if that was acceptable or not with the rules. If it's not, I can totally separate things out :)
and - Thank you both for your kind words! hugs I am lucky and happy to consider you both good friends here on Subeta! I know we don't chat a ton, but I like to think that we're here for each other always <3
, , , , , - I am so happy to have gotten to know all of you better over the past year! You are all wonderful people and shining stars! 💫
For my Halloween HA, I think I would like to enter the one that I'm wearing. It's just the right amount of festive-ness tied with high fashion ;)

And last, but certainly not least, my Halloween gif... Honestly, who doesn't love this?

I would totally dress up and do this on Halloween in my classroom. It would be amazing. We have to get this pumpkin dude to do all of the Fortnite dances. It would be hilarious! My daughter would like to be Moana for Halloween this year, so we'll be going to look for costumes this weekend!

Practical Magic is my favorite film, and also basically everything I love about halloween. A little love, a little magic, and little spookiness. <3<3<3

When I was a little girl, my parents bought me a Charlie McCarthy doll. I loved it and tried to emulate being a ventriloquist while playing with it. Of course my lips moved the whole time. More than sixty years later, I still have that doll sitting in a guest room. It’s a little worse for wear and is dusty more times than it’s not, but I still think of it lovingly whenever I enter that room.
What does that have to do with Halloween you ask... Well, whenever one of my grown grandchildren arrives, I have to move it into my closet because it’s too scary to leave out. It is all in the perception apparently. One never knows when it might turn into Chuckie and start terrorizing the house. I see it with love and others see it’s potential on Halloween night!
Calendar days are closer than they appear! [item=mocking clock]
Thank you so very much! You really are such an amazingly kind person!
I love candy corn (the chocolate kind and the pumpkins) and peanut butter chocolates from this time of year. I also love anything fall or autumny colors. ^^ I love all the themed movies too like Hocus Pocus (sorry I am not much into blood-horror films...)!!

Day 3:
The Halloween Pup by Thistle
It was a rainy Halloween afternoon when a very wet, cold, and hungry little puppy found a door to squeeze under.
"Oh no!" cried the witch inside, "I can't have a dog on Halloween!" But she gave him some stew, and he ate it up and wagged his tail.
"Witches," explained the witch, "need black cats with golden eyes, not golden dogs with brown eyes." But the puppy warmed himself by the fire under the cauldron, and he wagged his tail with his brown eyes wide.
"Those black cats," insisted the witch, "need to ride broomsticks and arch their backs and spit and give off sparks." The puppy shook his fur and gave off water instead, and the witch sighed.
She stirred her Halloween brew. She dropped the ladle once, and the puppy picked it up and gave it back to her.
She climbed aboard her broom. The puppy climbed on too, and clung as hard as he could. The witch shrugged, and she took off into the air. As they rode through the night, the puppy howled so musically that the werewolves howled back, and all the zombies started to dance.
When they came to the cemetery, the puppy barked at the ghosts, but wagged his tail when he saw the skeletons and all their lovely bones.
When they came to where the monsters lived, the puppy drooled more then any monster. He ran after them, and the monsters loved it.
When they came to the vampire's castle, the puppy sat up and offered a paw. "Vat a good dog!" exclaimed the master vampire.
When they turned to go home, the puppy poked his cold wet nose into the witch's hand. She shrieked, and then she started to laugh. "I haven't been spooked on Halloween in decades!"
As they came home, the witch said to the puppy, "Maybe a dog is not so bad for Halloween. I will call you Moon, because you are as golden as the Halloween moon."
When they landed and walked to the door, from underneath there came a faint "mew! mew!". The witch smiled. "It's a big broom," she said.
🌈 I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days sneak up on me at once 🌈
Day 2
I created this avatar as it is most similar to what I wanted to be for Halloween this year: a kind of pretty demon lady.

Day 3

My favorite part of Halloween has always been watching Hocus Pocus. It was one of my favorite movies growing up and even though we had it on VHS, I wasn't allowed to watch it until October 1st. And then I would watch every day for the entire month of October. It's still a great movie and I look forward to watching it every year.

“I've spent so long in the darkness, I'd almost forgotten how beautiful the moonlight is.” (movie: Corpse Bride, 2005)
I love this movie so much, and I always watch it around fall (and Nightmare before Christmas as well). Halloween has a special place in my heart. Probably, because my aunt went with me on my first Trick-or-Treat and I loved her dearly.
I'm actually somewhat of a scaredy cat, but I love the 'lighter' spooky things on halloween, not the gruesome, gory stuff. I mean, I'd love to explore a haunted house, but I know very well that I would never enter one. xD
...and I still have to carve my pumpkin! :D I'm just carving a simple, good old face in it. That has some nostalgia to it. And maybe I'm not that gifted with carving. xd
That black cat gif is da bomb! I seriously love it!! :D

[flower=Bren]Okay. So here is Day 2's entry. Inspired by something I saw on tv relatively recently. I think it was Mysteries at the Museum. About pale, blue eyed creatures, called "Swamp Ghosts" in the lore, spotted in the swamps of the southern states which were likely leucistic alligators. Either way I can't find anything via Google at the moment. Private Outfit

The floorboards creaked. He cast a glance back nervously, working through the house as fast as she could. The air was thick and heavy, stale as a crypt, and his panting breaths rang in his ear as he ran down the hall. Sweat dripped off his face, trickles down the back of his neck, plastering his hair to his face. Each breath was ragged, and the sound of his footsteps echoed on the creaky boards. Finally, he rounded a corner and squatted down, trying to muffle the heavy pants, hugging his knees, waiting. "Shit, shit - "
He never should have tried to play around with summoning demons, he should have stayed at home in bed. It was a joke, all a big joke, Cara and he were just gonna play around, they were gonna make out, they were gonna go home! He didn't believe in any of the bullshit about Halloween lifting the veil between the dead and the Earth!
Cara had laughed, had recited the list of words in her best spooky voice, but neither of them had expected the circle to glow red, the air to be ripped by a gust of wing, or for a black hand to thrust out of the floorboards, dragging itself forwards. They had been so shocked they couldn't help but stare as the creature clawed its way out of the summoning circle, hadn't even taken a step back. It only took the thing a few seconds to get out, and then, with lightning speed, it snapped forwards and - poor Cara.
He has turned and fled while the monster shredded her, her piercing screams echoing behind him. But there was nothing he could do, that thing was - it was unnatural. He sat there, shivering in the unnatural stillness, listening. He didn't hear anything -
The floorboards to his right creaked.
(I hope this is an ok story! ^.^ )
I has draggys. Pls help me clicky them! Dragon Cave

My favorite candies are everything chocolate! Twix, snickers, milky way, charlston chew, m&ms, 100 grand, hershey, reeses - you name it! While I don't mind plenty of the non-chocolate varieties, they always came second. When trading with my sister for candies I'd always try to sneak some twix away from her in the deal, as they are, the best candies.
In terms of Halloween type festivities, I've never really been one for carving pumpkins (too mushy), nor for watching scary movies (though I'm fine with seasonal but not-scary, and even slightly spooky). But I love giving/getting candy. Dressing up can be fun if I'm going out or to some party.
