ugh this whole thread made me cringe lol
i'm hardly innocent c: regarding awry, i said awe-ree in my head like a child until a few months ago when my sister was like "it's uh-RYE!!'. also tend to pronounce my 'd's and 't's softly, so something like "don't even worry about it" turns into "doe'neevn worry baw-dih".
I'm beginning to wonder if I pronounce "again" wrong, I've noticed a couple of characters on TV (first it was only Teal'c but now it's a lot) saying it "ah-gayn" (or something similar, not sure how to write it) and I haven't really pronounced the i.
It is possible though that I've learned the correct pronunciation in a different accent of English, my English is a cool mixture of almost all accents I've ever heard or read (it's my second language)
but if it's pronounced "ah-gayn" in pretty much all accents, I would like to know so I can re-learn.
Oh and I can't say Massachusetts, it's impossible. Or the "th"-sound before "r", so I can say it in "thank you" but not in "three".

SO MANY OF THEM. Speech is a terrible thing. :/ There's a reason I was called "Casper" in school.

Oh...so many words. (too many to list) I learned a lot of words by reading them long before I ever heard them out loud and I've been struggling to fix that because some words it was years, even a decade before I'd heard them spoken.

I cannot say "spaghetti" properly for the life of me so I still say it "sketti" or "spaketti".
I've got flames on my chest. It's a lot to live up to.
