I clicked it and was surprised at how they pronounced Terpsichore. I always pronounced it terp-ih-shore when it's actually pronounced ter-sic-orie. And sieve I pronounce see-ive when it's pronounced siv.
I tend to pronounce coupon like coup-in, but it's mostly for fun. Also I used to pronounce yellow yew-wow when I was smaller. I pronounced Boise (the city in Idaho) like bois when it's boi-see. Honestly, it's kinda fun to see what I pronounce wrong!
Ha, I say coupon wrong for fun as well, more like cou-pin, though.
I say pillow wrong, but it's not a "I only read it and I can't say it right" kind of way. I've been told it sounds more like 'pa-low' when I say it. I can honestly not tell the difference when someone else says it and when I do.
Outlier = out-leer Carotid = karo-tid Chisel = chai-suhl Chasm = chaz-em Sieve = seev
ummmm I'm trying to think of others tbh.
I'm from Minnesota and apparently we're the only state that says aunt as "ont" instead of "ant". My husband's family down in Iowa loves to tease me about that one.
In grade school, I couldn't say synonym. It would come out sim-o-nim or cinnamon every time and when I got frustrated I'd just say "the opposite of antonym". xD
For years, I thought silhouette was pronounced "sill-a-hute" instead of "sill-o-et".
My grandma who was originally from Arkansas always threw "r" in her wash and said "warsh".
My most embarrassing one was when I was on a family trip and we were eating at a restaurant in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I thought it was "Al-ba-kwer-quay" instead of "Al-buh-ker-kee".

A lot of words I apparently miss the mark. Not even trying to impress people but my partner keeps correcting me. At least I'm learning something new. lol
Missouri
This is literally the most complicated word for me for some reason. I usually pronounce it "Mi-juu-ri" or "Mi-suu-ri"

Toilet - "tor-let". It is how my moms says it and unless I consciously correct myself that is how I say it as well.
I have too many to list. I have issues with the sounds I want to say translating well. There's a connection or something wrong in my brain haha. Had a lot of speech therapy as a kid.
The color beige. I say the G. I don't know how to type it out phonetically but I essentially make the second half of the word harder than it should be.
Okay this one street name is always pronounced wrong by anyone who isn’t from the city or those of us that never saw it before.... but it’s pronounced so different than how it’s spelled...
Cockburn Street but it’s pronounced CO-burn... the ck are silent o.o
I pronounced it like it was spelled and got laughed at xD
I'm usually pretty well spoken, but I do struggle with quite a few words. One of them is "Warrior" which I tend to pronounce 'woy-er'. I also tend to accidentally say "wedding wing" instead of 'wedding ring'. I've also learned that my mouth cannot actually make a lot of the sounds required to speak Irish, so that's been fun...
I can't say Crayon.. It always comes out "crown"
I often mispronounce any words that have a lot of "s" sounds in them. I think I may have a big of a lisp sometimes. xD I have to be really careful and think hard to say words with that sound in them correctly, especially when they have a lot of "s" sounds!
eclipse!!
i always say 'ee-clipse' instead of it all at once if that makes sense lol
Capsicum. Every dang time I pronounce it as capi-SCUM. Every time xD
Epitome! I always pronounced it eh-pi-tohm instead of eh-pi-toe-me lmao
Also caterpillar. Always said kallerpiller
variety
I don't know why but that is such a hard word for me lol. Probably because I'm in the UK and want to make it sound less American and then wonder .. but how .. and it comes out vashkjkahlfkas
