By signing up, do you mean letting us let you know what strains we have already, ? Trying to catch up ehehe.

Just join the groups that you can bite for (or you can join them all if you really want, but I recommend muting the ones you can't bite for)!

I'm wary of Feverbites because Fever(blank) for definite sounds like it'll be an infection name ... but I would sit there trying to remember which strain it is, rather than immediately thinking "Fevermore! Birdhead!"

Ravenbites would go with Sharkbites. Pylotbites is also fairly descriptive, and we've been using the Pylot plushie image as the strain placeholder.

Did you read my previous post? I am confused as to why the ping groups have been created. consideration for ease of access? spelling mistakes? etc.

edit: Not to be interpreted the wrong way... (and I'm honestly tuckered out). I think it's great you & thought of separate groups to better organize for next year.

Creating a classification system can be "easy", but making a good one can be a royal pain in the behind... I know, I specialized in the topic.

We have plenty of time before survival hits, I think it would be wise to develop the system & categories prior to launching into groups.

Something I didn't mention before... language. Although we communicate in English, many of us know others. Some even plug things into a translator and hope for the best... so certain acronyms can be confusing for someone less familiar with the language.

Then there's the question of having bite before or after. Several of us are part of various groups, if we see ABC bite, it might not be as quick to see amongst all the events we are bombarded with rather than BITE abc.

Avoid any type of symbols. It can be a pain if you're on mobile, still a prob when typing and more. Just be thankful we don't have to deal with French... that's a bucketload of migraines!

I really need to rest, but I'd love to help you develop a system... I just need time cuz my health & other issues can get in the way.

Just noticed that I'm alone with you guys on the Heartburn group puhahaha.

Get the rest you need - like you said, we have lots of time. We can't change the actual ping name (the #/whatever) once a group is created, but if there's anything that's really hard to read, then we can delete the group and remake it unless it's one of the groups we haven't made yet (but we wouldn't want to do this too often). Symbols are definitely a no since keeps annoying a CW group thanks to a dash.

Maybe the groups are little rushed (I think part of that is on me), but I also feel like if we don't commit at some point, we're just going to keep debating the names.

I'm also a bit confused because your post did have bite after all of your proposed names. Did you change your mind on that, or was just that just an example?

I can't even bite for it, I'm just in there as backup. :P
