A reading book or a learning book? If you want to read something very easy in german get yourself some books, where you have one side the story in englisch and the other side in german. This books exists. So you can learn easy. Or do it like I have done relearning english. Watch movies or episodes in german with english subtitles, so you have the spelling too. ^^ I have done it with watching englisch and german or englisch subtitles.

Well, I was trying to find a few books like that, but what I've been able to find here is pretty limited and a little higher priced for my terrible salary. I'm also finding that what there is around also doesn't have quite the right translation a lot of times. Kind of like with movie subtitles where they translate more of the general meaning of what people are saying, not the real phrasing in most case. I've actually been hoping to find more movies to watch in German, and am having some tough luck. Most of what I've found in German is about the Holocaust, which is just super duper fun to watch, as you might have guessed. My boyfriend is trying to just get me to get a job out there and come right out, but I keep having to explain to him that it's pretty difficult for me to find work without speaking better German.
