1weapon curses are the worst. I have terrible luck with Lukien being perpetually under the blindness curse. Maybe some TS is in order to try and get rid of the items that cause it.

What to do with the DGR? Use, sell? What mods if I use it? Helix is currently using Swashbuckle, Prodigy Staff and Paintbrush Blades....advice would be great please :p

So I've been kinda awol for the past six, seven months (keeping up with unlocking challengers but not a lot else). I'm slowly battling through the challengers I've missed along the way but have a question about the newer mods - is there a general consensus on which are best, if new freezing mods are worth it etc? Obviously some weapons prefer different elements (generally I'd try to stack one icon to sink icons past partial defs, but the curses might tip towards variety) but I don't know much beyond that.

Congratulations!!! DGR is the best light blocker so I would hold onto it just in case. The mods would depend on the opponent, but the standard Parched Baguette, Blessing of Natural Armor, Critical Strike, or Singed Baguette are good placeholders.

For the elemental crystals, Marquise and Eye of Royalty are the ones you want to aim for. The freezing crystals are okay, but even with the best percentage (3%), four crystals are only going to give you an additional 11.5% of freezing power. Kind of lackluster if you ask me.

<3 Thank you! I've managed to sell 2k CSC, so I'm currently only about 70mil short. Once I sell the last 1k I'll be golden. And then it'll be Natasha time! (Perhaps I should've gone for OHS or Ether first, but meh. It'll suck being poor though.)

I suppose it's best to get the most expensive one out of the way. The next two will be easier to save up for individually :D Being broke is only temporary and it's definitely worth the new toy!

Honestly I don't think Ether or OHS are essential. Fire is a much more universal icon imo. I've made do without either up until this point - though I do have an Ancestral Unrest to cover physical these days, I'd never needed the block before.

Thanks for the tips! Hm yeah and I have a lot of freezing scrolls and they're relatively cheap these days, too, so can always stock up on those. And the hardest opponents have ways around it anyway.

Also I think... Lukien might be our hardest opponent to date? I got up to 8 wins but had to take a break, the battles are so dependent on that dumb curse leaving you alone. Even if I blasted a Blacklight Potion (or w/e it's called) there was still no guarantee of safety. I only had 6 losses in my record up until now, lol (5 on Jacques, 1 taking Prodigy to 15 wins).

Yeah, that's kind of the feeling I've been getting recently as well. I was scrolling through older posts and I realized I haven't gotten and big toys for my armory in a year or two. So I've definitely been managing pretty well up to this point.

That being said, I'm really due for an upgrade if I want to make headway against the harder opponents. (Going through Rita once I borrowed the right weapons was like floating through a cloud after being stuck at the bottom of the ocean for a long time.)

All in all, Natasha is recommended so much on ever board that it just seems like a smart choice!

I remember trying to fight The Brotus and having a hard time, then someone lent me The Ether and holy crap, what a difference! It's one thing to understand what what people mean when they say blocking is important, but it's a whole other thing to see it in action like that. That (and seeing how much sP I made during a quest-a-thon) put me on the most determined course I've ever taken on this site because the right weapons matter when battling.
