I think it might be a 'no' with Noflaik...when it comes to 5 wins. I've managed one, and I've gotten my second impossible token! But we'll see...
Def, I have a low T12 pet and didn't have trouble getting 10 wins. I honestly had such an easy time that I didn't alter my standard set. Noflaik steals, so you will want BoNA crystal mods on your weapon, or in my case I used The Ether to make some steal fodder. Anyway I used:
Intricate Energized Helmet + Volatile Energized Mecha 1st turn to freeze/boost
Recycle Blaster + Soma Tablets 2nd turn, to blast two weapons
Paintbrush Blades + The Ether Constant attackers
Rainbow Vortex + Phoenix Quill Brought in to full block or full heal if I was having trouble
And I used my standard scrolls for freezable opponents, so just load up on whatever scrolls you have that help you freeze. My standard set is personally:
Psycho Smasher x1 Gale Force x2 Perilous Whirlpool x3 Gelaspell x1 Cobalt Eternal x4 Gift of the Forj x2
Which reminds me I won that Shriek and forgot to put it in my set!
I lied...I beat him (her?) 5 times! Woo Hoo! I'll see if I can get five more later
Got my 6th win on Prodigy... took a few losses though. Gonna need more stats before I bother again.
Huge congrats!
You've found a Hidden Opponent! Noflaik challenges you to a fight in the Battle Colosseum!

I thought so too... but skimming the comments section anything less than the perfect happy ending would have lead to much drama.
So Noflaik is another challenger I kinda want as a pet.
You Won! You have defeated Noflaik 10 times! You earned 7748 sP for beating Noflaik! Oranos earned 2750 EXP Points!
Done with cornflakes
I love the artwork of Noflaik and a nice challenger
Thank you [Kiss=smilesnz] [Dance=smilesnz] [Flower=smilesnz]
Don't you make fun of my cute friend >;(
Hahah I don't know why every time I see the name I think of cornflakes =x
Frosted corn flakes are a delicious treat :P
Maybe that's what it is....frosted noflaiks haha
lol looking at Noflaik's face is more like NOPEflaik.

Even though tragic romance stories have been a thing since forever and a day, regardless of the sexual orientation of the couple.

Some of that, but also I think it fell flat because it seemed like there were two or three Chekhov’s guns left unfired, which could have created a much richer, spookier, and disturbing story. Just showing them really makes the challengers seem out of place. So what are these and why are they here? Nope, just random! Terrible things happened? But we just gloss over all that, lol? So I guess the time in which they have to tell the story plays a role too. There wasn’t enough time for more to unfold. And so it’s just kind of a flat, unfulfilling story unless all you wanted out of it was lovers reunited.
Maybe I need some cheese with my whine.
Yeah, I was expecting something more too. You'd figure with Alegarten now moved up in the year, there'd have been time to just get the plot rolling. I'd have been fine with doing some basic legwork for Ian in the build up to Morostide.
It's not just you. I thought the opponents were out of place too. Like a way to clumsily shoe-in some new Morostide challengers that'll become regulars now. i dunno, I hear plot and immediately think of battling and beating up some big ol' boss dude for awesome loot. The rest is just bonus for me.

A big bowl of frosted noflaiks for a balanced breakfast! :D
Aww but the cute lil noflaik just wants to give you a kiss (or 4 with all those tongue-tacles) :3
legwork as a build up migh have worked pretty well since the player character is supposed to already have been invested in helping Ian and Jaxon. But there needed to be follow through in the story. Showing all those Chekhov’s guns, nothing coming of them, then dispelling the tension instantly for an easy happy ending is.. well, it’s why you don’t look for interesting stories in Internet click games.
We got a plot after a couple years, which is nice at least.
(I guess this means they were all Chekov’s guns, which unlike Chekhov’s guns are meaningless and have no plot value)
