What if it's something so obvious, it's not obvious?

There must be something that gives this courageous hero the creeps, though.

Hmm if it (isn't) bugs then I wonder what else it could be. What else might he consider creepy?

He's afraid of something getting in the store...."Just make sure to close the screen door behind you; we wouldn't want to let anything else in."

The weapon and minion loot make it seem like bugs...or is that a Red Herring? I need to sleep on it...

Just because bugs are his fear doesn't necessarily mean that's what makes him angry. It could be tangentially related, but IDK.

Remember Maybel got angry when we deleted minions but her fear was claustrophobia from spending time in jail (which she did for breaking the law to protect minions, so it's indirectly related).

And Gunter got angry when we abused our pets, but his fear was more related to what he did to his brother coming back to haunt him.

That being said, I don't really have any ideas of my own at this time. Maybe something to do with him being blind though? If I was blind, I'd probably get angry if people picked on me for it or something like that, but I dunno how to turn that into an unlock method.

Interesting idea... making fun of the blind guy to make him mad.

I tried going with the Blind Eye See You Ring in my inventory and in my wardrobe. Didn't work.

Maybe his fear is sort of related to bugs, but it's more about things he can't hear? Most bugs are small and move around quietly, so if he were to suddenly feel one crawling on him because he didn't hear it...that sounds scary, it might be to do with that.

Doing something to him might make him angry, making lots of noise or moving things around could anger him? I mean moving things around when he has a layout memorized might tick him off. And well loud noises are just ew.

I guess it's pretty clear he doesn't like bugs. But maybe the thing that upsets him would be somehow interfering with his ability to detect the bugs (or enemies)...like, I don't know, making a bunch of noise that drowns them out or forcing him to wear earmuffs. XD Something that jams his sonar and leaves him vulnerable. Doesn't it have to be something new though, and we've already done the whole "have X item in your inventory" thing, right? I'm just having trouble thinking of a new way to interact with an NPC.

Well, Som's requirement was using the wardrobe and putting on specific wearables related to time, so odds are the same cannot be done for Kain with bugs or vanishing cream. We've had Bubbles with having a beer item in your inventory and visiting his shop, so it can't be that either.

It's intriguing that the golden mole was chosen out of any other mole. They are said to rely primarily on their sense of touch, and their sensitivity to vibrations can help them identify potential danger. In fact, golden moles have the highest sensitivity to low frequency auditory cues.

I'm still certain it has to do with insects, or perhaps a particular insect or arachnid that disturbs him. Perhaps....perhaps we need a combination of bugs in both the inventory and wardrobe, and then buy a shield or something out of his shop. That hasn't technically been done yet.,

Something else to keep in mind, he has been known to exaggerate and be overly dramatic. From my personal experience with things that bother me, such as loud noises, if it's only a little loud to someone else, then it's more than likely deafening to me because I'm that sensitive. So something that's minor to everyone else might be the end of the world to him. I don't know what that may entail, but it is a detail to remember.

tl;dr:

• probably fear of bugs
• sensitive to noises and vibrations, heightened touch receptors
• something as small as a bug to us probably sounds like a giant bug of death to him, since he can't see. (I tried sending him a gift with nothing but bugs. Doesn't seem to do anything)

What if it’s something like earmuffs or head phones or loud music that affects his ability to hear and know what’s going on. I’m on mobile so I can’t test it, just throwing it out there.

Edit - Well, it turned out to be a lot more straightforward than I was thinking. Bugs are just scary I guess (if he says so). I'm bad at figuring these out lol

Having high strength and high speed help but other than that you have to hope she doesn’t keep spamming the healing weapons

Well, I tried visiting while wearing something with "bug" and with something with "screen" in the names. No luck.

I wonder if it's anything to do with battling Careaper... That would suck if you could only unlock him once a month, it's probably just a coincidence that Kain was released on the 13th.

...Unless all that "so much going on, downtime, all the things happening, we'll just release the challenger next week" was a ruse to throw us off the trail, so we didn't suspect anything weird about him being released on the 13th.

Blegh, he's annoying. My aim is to get to 35 wins to maximize loot, but that might wait until next month.
