Easter eggs are meant to be fun bonuses, not a hide and seek game to restore functionality to a website. I apologize but idk how we're expected to find anything when the website is upside down. This is more than a little frustrating and I'm on the side of everyone else here because two staff members still have declined to post a solution. Can we please get a straight answer? I'd really like to use the site and this is offputting for me. I'm sorry if this comes off as rude but it's 9:30 PM Subeta time and I still have no use of the website and nobody is helping fix it outside of users suggesting extensions, which shouldn't be necessary. : I just want a solution, please. Not mad about it, just frustrated.

Like I've said on my first post, I'm going to simply avoid using the site because the prank causes me health issues (and I'm not the only one), but I'm trying to provide feedback on something many users are frustrated by.

Easter eggs are neat little secret features hidden in various sites, games, etc. Afaik, no product requires you to find an Easter egg in order to restore functionality.

I'm sorry you're upset that people aren't happy with this prank/feature, but maybe think about why they weren't happy instead of getting snarky with your own users. Maybe there's a good reason why so many people are complaining about it. Hopefully next year, the prank will be something much less frustrating for both SL staff and its users.

Yup. You said "please hear me out", and I responded. I heard you. You think I was snarky, but I was backing up the site's owner (Georgie) when she said people could ask staff about this. I confirmed that we built an off-switch into the prank, and also confirmed that people (I presume they decided there wasn't one since they couldn't see it) decided to complain instead of ask questions. I don't see that as being snarky, but I'll concede that's a subjective matter.

Yes: there is an off-switch. If you think you might enjoy the challenge of finding it (it's not completely random -- it has something to do with today), I won't spoil it here, but if you're stumped, sMail me and I'll help.

I thought it was funny. I’ve just been giggling at myself all day, every time I use it upside down. Just going slow and challenging my brain. And, while I can also understand that people looking forward to a big day of updating collections might be frustrated, it certainly doesn’t excuse their rude and entitled behavior, especially considering you offer us this site at no cost. Thank you for having a bit of fun with us and for keeping such an awesome website available for us to use.

Gonna beat the dead horse a day later, but I still can't help but feel that this would've gone differently had there been an SL news post, or a notification from the start. ._. A little something that explained that no, SL staff didn't forget to include a toggle while subtly nudging people into participating in that little Easter Egg hunt instead of leaving them floundering, confused and angry. Oh well. Next time, I hope.

I do have to agree it could have gone smoother if they'd let us know somewhere there was a way to turn it off from the start. Or just provided the off switch right away. It didn't seem very user friendly, even the posts here. At least we got thru it and can still use Subetalodge haha. I am glad the site exists at all...
