Sorry - didn't mean for this to post twice. Not even sure how that happened.

It's really bad again. Almost everything I click takes minutes to load. Some pages will load normally, but most of the time, I get stuck in a never-ending loading loop. Forums are especially slow at the moment.

EDIT: I'm not sure if this is temporary or not, but the lag is pretty much gone for me right now?

The lag is...well, can we even call it lag? It's pretty much a lack of loading entirely. I'm so glad I haven't renewed my gold account yet because I'd be pretty irked. People with GAs should definitely get reimbursed for this somehow.

The lag is pretty severe - it's making it hard to do just about anything.

Same here once again the lag is so severe that it takes anywhere from about 1 to 5 minutes to load anything no matter where I try to go on the site or do. I am also getting the error 552 code for the site timing out at times.

I don't know what happened, but the lag has just cleared up for me! If someone fixed it, thank you! :D

Shop search is often loading within 10 seconds or so, but all the Masquerade functions take several minutes.

It's lagging so much that Atebus Masquerade isn't fun at all. I nearly can't do anything.

Lag has been terrible today across the site. I received this error while trying to get the Forums to load:

I'm sure there's a perfectly good reason for the lag, I'm sure there is. I'm just annoyed that people are getting annoyed because of it. I'm not saying I'm not annoyed by it, it's just hard seeing so much negativity. Yes, it would be nice if they told us what was causing it, but at the same time, what else can they do about it? It might be more complex than we think it is.

generally the annoyance comes from a lack of communication on the part of the Subeta team. The site has been dysfunctional for over a day and apart from an unhelpful Twitter post, no mentions of we're working on it, we understand, etc. And since we are in an event now, people are even more irritated. Also, it's Monday, the damn hell I want to be positive for?

I understand that, and I also get that staff might be / probably is equally frustrated. But it's just been so long. Pretty much every event. Same thing. New servers and updates and whatnot. Still same thing. I've been getting non stop lag since the downtime last Monday. That's a week. Not just the general subeta lag. Because that's a thing as well. Subeta has always been slower than other sites. This time it's massive lag. And they dropped an event on top of it. Without news. I know staff have been posting in the boards, but not in the news. Not a general ping to all users. I was also disappointed we didn't get a news update after the downtime last week. Did everything go smooth? Were they able to update everything as planned? What exactly was updated or changed? Could we expect any consequences after the downtime? No communication. Per usual.

I want to be positive, I really do! But Subeta's making that very difficult.

The point is, that many users (myself as well) spend real money here. A lot. And if I pay for something, I expect things to work. Its that simple. And its not that the current issues are a huge exception. No, every site update, every move to other servers, every event, maybe even the weather causes lagging and disfunction of the site. That is bad service, and we pay for that bad service, without ever getting a compensation. And with compensation I don't mean a nice news post a a funny free gift, or a quest reset or whatever, but a payback.

If I could, I'd at least pause my GA since I can't use its benefits anyway atm.

I just made the mistake of trying to play a round of reflection, which... with this lag is not very fun, because that relies on your short term memory and if it takes well over a minute (maybe even 2 or 3) for a tile to show up (and you have to keep staring at the screen the whole time because otherwise you'll miss seeing it at all and you'll just waste a move).... by that time my mind already wandered off elsewhere :...

I wonder what keeps causing the lag to return, hopefully staff will find a way to make it stop for good (or at least the rest of the event)
