ooooh that's bad news baha, it makes me make so so many mistake-clicks argh!! lol but i super appreciate you taking the time to explain here (i kinda had nowhere else to go since i had ended up mixed here lol,:done now :P )
i really hope the people who started the thread and others who had same issue as theirs get back to you!! n_n thanks for the push either way!!
- Since you implemented that code update for the HA widget, I haven't had any jumps!
Now a question for you - Could that same idea be applied to the forums? I get "jumps" after posting, trying to view a post I was pinged to, or most recent posts. The text portion of things loads, but HAs are slower. Once the HAs load, the whole page jumps around so I have to go hunting for where I was. Could that static sized box be applied to where the HAs load so that we don't have that happen?
No, because a forum topic doesn't have a fixed height, so there's no way to know how big that static box should be. The best way to avoid this problem on the forums is to wait for the page to load fully before scrolling down - if you wait, then it should always jump to the correct post for you.

Locking as it seems the original poster's problem has been fixed!
We are aware there's still a couple other things around the site that could result in a page jump, mainly the shoutbox widget, but these will not be fixed at this time.
